the woman calling 911 sounded very concerned and very much sober, so why should the dispatchers not take her seriously and giggle about two people being potentially killed? It might be that they are nice people usually, but giggling about something that should be taken very serious does not show them in the best light.@@mattb6646

      Hard disagree.
Of all the possible ways to joke around, de-stress, have a decompress at work, taking the literal piss out of people who call *the emergency services* in obvious distress is unprofessional, absolutely bananas, and totally inappropriate.
If you have to mock people who are calling for help in order to cope with a job you chose to do, do it on your fucking lunch break or something.
I mean, imagine if that recording is played as part of a trial? An investigation? You think the family involved is going to be happy to hear that shit? Is it going to inspire confidence and trust in the emergency services and the switchboard that they co-ordinate?
If you gotta do *that specific thing* in order to cope, I don’t think you have what it takes to do that job. Get out of here with that. It’s just excusing a total lack of integrity and professionalism, and frankly, it’s rather cruel.

Seasoned and Hardened criminals talk for a reason
The System has ways to coerce the criminals to talk
Example are cameras , witnesses etc , just saying silent sounds good but it plays in the juries mind when the death penalty is on the table
