Many of these videos are not showing how to clean your turkey first. I always check the outside for pinfeathers and clean out the excess fat and other stuff inside of the turkey, then rinse thoroughly with cold water before doing anything else.

I have seen so many cooking videos this holiday season....with that being said, most of the ones I’ve seen, folks rarely used gloves when it came to mixing up their mac&cheese and their stuffing. Most did wash their hands b4 mixing but to me using gloves like Ms.Tammy just seemed more sanitary. Jmo....Ty Ms.Tammy!!!!

I'm 67 Hun & I've been doing my Turkey's & Stuffing the same way that my Great Grandmother, Grandmother & my Mom's been doing it for over 100 years, 4 generations counting me, 5 generations counting my kids & soon to be 6 gens with my Grandkids lol.
I've been eating Corn Bread Mixed With Bread Cubes Stuffing inside the bird with stuffing left over in a pan my whole life & none of us gens has ever gotten sick from eating stuffing in a bird.
Hun, you'd never buy turkey or chicken broth in a can again, if you were to do it our way>All the giblets cooked in a pot of water with real onion, garlic, sage or poultry seasoning & S&P simmered until all of your giblets are tender, adding water when needed.
Pull out your giblets & cool so you can cut up all your giblets & set aside your giblets & broth to use for your stuffing.
It doesn't take any extra time to do it & it's so worth it.
I use cast iron skillet sweet corn bread pulled apart to let it kind of dry, dry bread cubes, then the fresh garlic, onion, green onions, green pepper, all diced small,
sauteed in a cast iron skillet with real butter, S&P & a little sage, then small dice your giblets & add to it to cool. When cool mix together with your corn bread & bread cubes, then add your wet ingredients of beaten eggs as a binder, your broth from the giblets & if more wet is needed add a little whole milk.
You want a moist but not a wet stuffing because your stuffing will collect moisture from your birds juices as it cooks.
You do your prep of your bird with the real butter & seasonings like you did but then you stuff your bird full of the stuffing & add extra to fill up the space of the front & rear of the bird skin flap & tuck the skin over & under the stuffing to hold the stuffing in.
If you're using a meat thermometer for temp always check the temp of the stuffing as well as the meat but the stuffing can be a lower temp than the meat of the bird.
Like you, I always choose a 20 or +# bird lol. That way you always have left overs for those great turkey sandwiches & those sandwiches are always better by adding your stuffing, your sweet potatoes, cranberries & any other sides you'd like to add, like a little Greens &Mac & Cheese lol.
My Mom & I always added something new to the holiday menus every year to break up the monotony of having the same thing every year.
One year we made an old recipe of homemade minced meat pies & another old recipe of homemade raviolis & red sauce etc.
It's also never a Thanksgiving or Christmas without Sweet potato pies, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Ambrosia Salad & Homemade Cranberries, among other things lol.
I've subscribed to your channel Hun, you've got some really good recipes & I hope to see more.
Thank you for allowing me to participate & enjoy watching you cook. You definitely have the touch.

Are we related?😃 That’s the same way I was raised by my Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother as far that Turkey or Chicken and cornbread dressing with them giblets boiled with poultry seasoning and all. When I saw Tammy buttering the Turkey it took me straight to my mother’s kitchen and her teaching me how to butter the Turkey. I learned a lot from each one of my generational mothers up close and in person. #preciousmemories.
