The Character of God: Compassionate // Zac Page

In this message we continue through Exodus 34:6-7, where God first reveals His character. Israel has just royally messed up, and the first thing they needed to know was that God is compassionate like a mother being deeply stirred towards her child. And you also need to know that God's posture towards you is always one of compassion, in fact His compassion never comes to an end.
God's compassion is not based on your actions, but God's compassion motivates Him to action: to forgive and to rescue!
Knowing God's compassion will motivate us to action: to forgive and rescue anyone in need!

This concept is so critical to the believer that Christ told a parable about a Master going on a journey and entrusting talents (money) to 3 of His servants Mt 25. The multiplication of what He gave them was an expression of His trust working through their reliance, yet one servant didn't understand the trust and suffered for it.
It is the last message to be given, the character of God.
