Climbing the Stairway to Heaven has been a dream of mine and now I can finally cross it off the bucket list. It's unknown how long the stairs will remain standing but for now the Stairway to Heaven is one of the coolest hikes on the planet.

Absolutely stunning! How much time did it take? It’s over 9 miles long and over 2800 feet high, it’s gonna make me cry but I feel it’s worth it

The trail is very long, but the incline is gradual. I started the trail at 8 am, and finished at 5 pm. For me, it took 3.5 hours up and 3.5 hours down, but I'm pretty sure that's slower than most people, as I had never done a hike longer than 6 miles. I spent 2 hours at the top, at the stairs, so depending on your pace and how long you spend at the top, it'll probably be around 5 to 7 hours to climb, and 6 to 8 hours round trip. High temperatures later in the day and muddy conditions if it rained or rains could slow you down.

@@ItsAustin36 Thank you very much for the information! Your experience will help me a lot next month 😃 I have hiked Park Butte trail (7.2 miles, 2200 feet) last summer and it was pretty close to my limit. I hope I can cope with this one since it is even more difficult due to the temperature, exposure, mud & cliffs - wish me luck!
