We don't have wi-fi so we checked out what farmers and off-grid trail cams have. Selected Reolink Go Ultra with solar panel, pan/tilt/zoom, color night recording, voice and siren. It requires a data-only SIM card and a data plan. It allows me to view my rig even if I'm across the country. We attached the unit onto a small removable frame that mounts on the top of the rig so that we can take it with us when we travel. It's pricey but that's the cost of first stage security. Black Friday discounts helped. Thanks to your video, we got serious about home security and found a solution that matches our situation. Now we watch for trespassers but, more enjoyably, wildlife.
Looks like a good system. Which exact one did you get (there are quite a few models). Also, you said you attached it to a small frame for install on your rig roof…where can I get this frame? Thanks in advance for the info!
I ordered 2. A bit more pricey, but if they work, i don't care. Just thinking of surprising an intruder with a light, alarm, and my God-like voice is worth its weight in gold! That would be fun to share, too. It made my day thinking of it! I have not been angry, but it is still unsettling, what happened. I naturally feel violated to have someone do something so mean-spirited. I have given tools away and clothes... i love to give to anyone who can benefit. It does not matter what or when. Too sad. Thanks again 🙌 😀🎈
Good Evening! Can't put a price on safety...I like your thinking though lol. I can't imagine the uneasy feeling, it's horrible that you or anyone has to experience something like that. You are correct in saying it's too sad, I'm at a loss for words, I will never understand the reasoning for certain behaviors. Enjoy those cameras and I hope they bring you some piece of mind. Great, Thorough job on this video. I have been researching these type cameras for our rig. This looks to be the one for us for our 5th wheel. We are full time out west and currently are campground hosts in the Rocky Mountain NP on the westside of the park for the summer. I love the price #1- and #2 ease of installation, yes you are correct-- so many of our "influencer" friends hawk different products and mean well... problem is their recommendations are indeed biased. Thank you for your time. We're new to the life. Picked up our new Class C 3 days ago. Exactly as you said. Someone sent a system and it is awesome buy. I wanted something that worked. That this is good price and unbiases review.

I have a quick question about your camera that you use awesome video by the way. If you were to remove the part that you put the 3M tape on, would that take paint off the trailer?
Thank you so much! I thought they all had to be wired, so I did not get one. We recently made a new spot for our RV, uphill away from our home, so we could use it more. It is a pain and dangerous to back it down to our location. There is no electricty up there, so we cannot leave the battery. It dropped to 10 below this winter! Well, we were broken into and things were stolen. I am sure i know who, but cannot prove it. So, i thought i had better figure out something. I am afraid he will come back. Would white blend in better? They could remove them or knock them down? Oh, but they are already on the net, right? I wonder if you can get it with an alarm you could set off? A motion detector would drive everyone nuts because we have deer and the RV is not far from the road. We made a drive through like the parks. Ii is in rhe woods, but the dust and nose from the gravel road would ruin any campout desires! Our cabin is down below that. We got the RV after our 5th evacuation. We have not had any more since buying the RV 4 years ago! We discovered that it was fun to use. We might go full-time...i am 75 and have degenerative arthritis... so am a bit concerned about that. Thank you so much.
Hi! Sorry for the late reply, we've been traveling to our next destination and I didn't want to reply with something generic. 10 below huh? No thank you. I'm sorry your RV was broken into. Did you make a police report with the missing items so hopefully if they are recovered you could at least be notified? As far as colors go, we just went with what blended - we have white and black. The images are "in the cloud". All I can say is as long as you are enjoying life, by staying stationary or being on the road full time it's your journey, live it as you see fit! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, we really appreciate it and again, sorry for the delayed reply. Take Care!
I did not get the notice that you commented. Thank you for the encouraging words. I ordered 2 more...solar. i also discovered my phone plan does not include hot spot! My home wifi does not extend to the RV, but i am trying to reconfigure it all and trying to find a booster and another phone plan. I rarely use the cell phone, but... so it won't even go to the cloud with no wifi or hotspot. We have a deadbolt lock, but when you ty to get the key out, you have to turn it back a little. Evidently, we went back too far and unlocked it! I see now how easy it is to do that. So, i guess we will be investing in a better lock next. Thank you!

Great video! I am looking for security cameras for my class A and these looks like a great option. I do have a question on your lock. From what I can see they don't fit my Itasca class A. The only one I have found is from RVLock, but hearing your experience doesn't give me a warm fuzzy about them. Any thoughts? Thanks! John
Hi John: I would check out this option from Carmtek as well amzn.to/3V5FrU5 or you could reach out to them via the website www.carmtek.com Any locks that we have purchased from Rvlock we were not impressed with. Not only the old door lock but the storage door locks as well were poor quality. That being said, they have a following and some people swear by them but it only takes being locked out once to change that opinion lol
@life redesigned so I went ahead and got the same set up because of your video! Since the solar panel aren't magnetic based I found some mounts that will fit the base of the solar panel mounts so they can be taken off as well!
Please excuse my technology ignorance, but in researching these cameras, I am unable to determine if they will connect to our 4G "Travlfi" wifi. It appears from internet searches that they will connect to our 4G. Can anyone confirm? Thank you for this unbiased review!! These appear to be exactly what we need for our rig.

We usually get about a month out of each charge but that will vary greatly depending on your motion settings and the amount of activity at your site. You can also hard wire them as needed.
