Why do you continually diminish Tommy De Vito's abilities? He was ranked 4th in the nation for completion percentage while playing for Illinois in the Big 10, and coming out of high school was the 8th ranked QB in the nation. Here is the scouting report when he entered the draft. He has abilities and is not a scrub!
Smart passer who doesn’t put the ball in dangerous spots. Avoids turnovers and costly plays without being overly cautious.
Keeps the offense on schedule by delivering passes in rhythm. Showed consistent accuracy and comfort when throwing to his first read and with half-field reads.
Doesn’t hesitate to throw a pass when he sees an open receiver. Has a quick reaction time and doesn’t second-guess whether he wants to make a decision.
Was comfortable throwing beyond the first down marker on conversion downs as opposed to taking the first checkdown possible.
Has more mobility than his numbers showed. Capable of getting outside of the pocket or run through lanes if he has to, but wants to throw the ball.
Strong arm is capable of delivering accurate passes 50+ yards down the field. Velocity on short and intermediate passes is solid when feet are aligned.
Gutsy performer who will take a hit and pop back up. Has visibly positive emotional responses that can be infectious.
Experience in both a vertical Air Raid offense and a run-based offense will help him adjust to the NFL.

      Mahomes 35 7
      Warner 31 14
      Ryan 20 7
      Rodgers 45 13
Notice that Rodgers crushes everyone on that list save Mahomes, who has played his relatively short career so far in an offensive machine, in a well-oiled organization and under an all-time great HC, none of which Rodgers ever had for one moment of _his_ career. Notice that Mahomes is struggling (22 TD, 10 INT) this year with "only" one top target around, as Rice, Moore and Toney haven't been able to keep Mahomes at his usual level? Let's see where Mahomes is standing a few years down the road.

Does Mike really need all these sponsors just to have a podcast? Just record your voice on a microphone and post it without all this bloatware Mike!

Mike, this Jets team is a dumpster fire wrapped up into a train wreck wrapped up again into a Greek Tragedy. You are criticizing the offensive line. What this underscores is not even "Our Savior" Rodgers would have succeeded under center with this offensive line. Everybody is looking for a singularity to throw under the bus. Let's throw Zach under the bus, lets throw Selah under the bus, let's throw Hackett under the bus, and on and on. You are one of these bozos looking for a scapegoat. You were vigorously throwing Zach under the bus when you know the Jets have bigger problems than him, pal.
