I completely agree with you. I know the year was 1957 and it was a very different time period where things seemed to be much safer but, who in there right mind would leave 2 toddlers alone in the forest while you’re out searching for wild walnuts!? The mother was clearly out of view and relatively far away from the 2 toddlers. I don’t care how well behaved or how well these two toddlers listen to instructions but they are way too freaking young to be left alone without a parent or adult. Anything can happen while your eyes are off them. The only person to blame for the one toddler’s disappearance is the mother and her terrible negligence.

In the first case, that of Michael Auberry ( please forgive any misspelling), the missing boy was found alive. It was stated in the video that he could not immediately give any account of what had happened to him while he was missing. I can't help but wonder if he was ever, at any time in the 13 years since his disappearance, able to offer up any information at all about what he experienced while he was missing. I must assume that he either has been unable to recall anything, or he maybe finds it too difficult to talk about, which is both frustrating and unfortunate. I suppose, though, that there are many facts in these cases which are still being kept from the public. I do sincerely hope that this boy has fully recovered from what must have been a very frightening and traumatic ordeal.

Paul, you bring up a Salient point. I once lived in S. Korea. After living among Korean folk, I got to observe Americans visiting Korea as a group. I noticed that Americans tend to wander off alone rather than to stick with the group. Koreans stuck together more because they remain group centered. But I imagine, in our parks, that fewer Koreans would get taken by any force due to their cohesiveness. But Americans would always be wandering around, alone. Opportunity for any predator! Might as well put a target on their tee shirt.

Paul Mc Adam Considering I’m 16 and have been going for a few years, I completely understand your point. When I don’t like an area, I GTFO almost immediately. And when I normally hike I usually carry bear spray and keep my knife in a quick access area. I am a scout so we’re not supposed to be carrying around firearms and most National and State parks don’t even permit firearms. So something is obviously wrong because “no poaching” isn’t the best excuse for me considering all the people I have seen out there are quite nice

They do this by manipulating parasites inside, other times through chemical means in the nervous systems of their victims. It could be a symbiotic relationship of insects and trees. Or, even among trees, insects and hypercrystalline stones as in Yosemite. Stones receive radio signals. Perhaps insects produce sounds that carry through these sillicon based crystal stone or huge El Capitan type structures. I am betting that the forces if hypernsture act in concert.

I am near 70 to, and I grew up in the rural Appalachian mountains. I have spent much of my adult life in the mountain forests. I now live in rural Arkansas near one of David Paulides' cluster areas.
Yes, strange things do happen deep in the woods. There are areas where those who live here never go.
With that said, my advice is simple: trust your instincts. While you may be city born and bred, somewhere back in history your ancestors were not so evolved. These instincts served humans well for thousands of years.
If the forest grows unnaturally silent, you are likely not alone. If you see a place that seems beautiful for no real reason, if it seems to call out to your heart, it is best to use extreme caution. Always remember that old saying about curiosity killing cats; don't be too curious, especially when alone.
There are always forest sounds, but you can't know that if you plow through the woods like a bull moose.
Large sounds are bad sounds. Only that which has little to fear can afford such laxness. When the small creatures are out and about, you're safest. When they shut up and hide, you ought to do the same.
I'm not trying to scare anyone. The back country is a wonderful place. But just as there are places in the city which are dangerous, so too is the wilderness.
      Be safe.

If It had been 3 hours I would think I'd remember the walk back & being forever long) it was short like the campsite was around the corner. Parents were slightly panicked & we both didn't know why because again it seemed like 15mins. My mother still says "remember when you got lost?" Makes me wonder if I was lost or not? Idk..... David Paulides doesn't falsify anything or make parts up about anything. He has more than enough cases where he literally doesn't have to, nor have time to do that. IF you actually read his books, you'll see he lists only facts on every case, then moves to the next and does the same, then moves to the next and does the same. There are thousands of these weird disappearances that meet his strict criteria for him to even look at it. And I don't believe he's trying to "solve" anything. He's more documenting them and bringing them to light. And it's important to note that he's as baffled as anyone on what's doing this.

They yelled back and tried to replicate their "language" and the unknown beings sounded more and more "aggresive" as the "conversation" went on.. The hunters claimed that they never saw these beings, but that they had no doubt of what they heard that night, and that wasn´t the only night such things happened they said.. They said unknown beings were out in these woods. They also claimed to have seen unknown lights or "spheres" travelling or rather "gliding" through the woods.. There was a man, an investigative reporter I believe, a couple decades ago that said he had evidence that the government had traded extraterrestrial or extradimensional technology from the beings for civilians. The beings allegedly broke their end of the agreement, going rogue and taking whatever number of people that they wanted. The man that supposedly had the evidence was found having "committed suicide" shortly before he was to meet someone that was going to help him break the story. Now, I've heard all manner of statements discrediting this entire thing. However, I try to keep in mind that, especially if it were true, this is how it would be dealt with by the powers that be. The disappearances do make me wonder if there might actually be something to this. If true, it would most certainly trigger a military presence since this would likely be considered an act of war. And obviously, they aren't going to tell us anything about it, but I find it hard to believe (my dad was SOG) that the military would show up simply to assist in the search for the missing if there was not some matter of national security or as I said, an act of war, involved. My dad told me back in the day, they built a "flying saucer" while he was serving. He said they were able to fly it a few feet and then it crashed. Mind you, this was told to me long before it came out to the public via declassified documents. I asked him where he thought they got the ideas and plans on how to proceed on building it. He gave me a side eye glance, then looked up at the ceiling and said "Don't know", then he looked at me and grinned. Knowing his mannerisms, he had told me without deliberately saying so, that I had asked the right questions. So honestly, I 100% believe that it is possible that the investigative reporter was on to something. I also have more theory that goes right along with that, since there is obviously a reason that certain individuals are being selected. It screams genetics program to me, but perhaps that's just me. That's my theory on it, anyway. I may be way off base, but whatever it is, I do believe that it is something that the majority of the population would be absolutely floored by. And until we have an answer that says otherwise, this will be where I put my money.

They still remember 30 October 1938, when people went nuts over a science fiction version of invasion. They didn't immediately call the mayor or governor (phones still worked, remember, without a real invasion), they didn't even go outside to LOOK, and see that their own cities were obviously still untouched. They just Panicked, going so far as to attack a water tower suspected of being a alien mechwarrior-analog ... then they all got mad at CBS, who announced the fictionalization three times during the broadcast.
So, lessons: "A person is smart. PEOPLE are stupid, dumb panicky animals, and [they who notice such things] know it!"

This is the second case I have heard since last night of a person gone missing, hearing searchers and yelling out to them. The fellow said that it made him feel like a ghost. What was really strange was he said that he was on a trail and suddenly it wasn't the same trail. When he was located he stated that somehow he'd made his way back to the trail. Mind you, he didn't leave the trail. It just wasn't there anymore

Lemme clear a couple things up first. To start, I don’t want to sound like I’m calling “Max” a lier. Everyone’s military career is different and maybe he did what he said exactly like he said. Also, I’m not saying that nothing strange happened here; something unexplainable definitely happened and it is certainly mysterious. Now I am no expert, but I have a couple problems.
First, the 10th Mountain Division hasn’t been garrisoned in Colorado since 1945 when it was deactivated the first time. Since then it has been reactivated and deactivated again. But during these times it was garrisoned at Fort Riley, Kansas, Würzburg, Germany (then West Germany), Fort Benning, Georgia respectively, until 1985 when it finally reactivated again and garrisoned at Fort Drum, New York. So unless he served in the Second World War, how he could’ve spent most of his career there then I don’t know. Even if he did serve in WW2 then he still would’ve only spent no more than 2 years there. And and both him serving in WW2 AND being a SOCOM commander are true, then he would’ve had to serve from when the 10th was at Camp Hale, Colorado in 1943 to at least 1987, when SOCOM was founded. This would mean he served for at least 44 years. If he joined when he was 18 then this would make him 62, seven whole years older than the mandatory retirement age at the time, 55. His timeline doesn’t make sense to me. (Once again, I am no expert.) (home.army.mil/drum/index.php/units-tenants/10th-mountain-division-li)
Second, not all Special Forces (AKA Green Berets) are beholden to the same direct authority. While most SF units are apart of the US Army directly through the federal government, there are some units who are apart of the Army through the National Guard, and therefore report to the the federal government through their state government Specifically the 19th and 20th Special Forces Groups. The 20th SFG actually had a detachment in Roanoke Rapids, NC just West of the national park in question. It’s not unusual or unprecedented for the time for the state government to use the National Guard on missing persons cases (www.wvnews.com/news/wvnews/update-wv-national-guard-aids-in-continued-search-for-missing/article_072e2298-6711-5686-abe3-023d5a64ce49.amp.html). Also, since the 20th SFG were probably up for deployment to Vietnam when the search was happening they probably thought it would be a good way to get practice searching for people in a forrest/jungle environment (like Vietnam). I’m not claiming that’s what happened, I’m just saying that it’s as likely as any option. As to why they were armed, I can’t explain. If I had to guess I’d say because there are wild animals in the woods or it could’ve been a kidnapping case like they suspected. Weak answer compared to the others? Maybe. Just as valid an answer? Also maybe. (Again, not an expert.)
Tl;dr - Max is really old, the National Guard exists, and Special Forces like shooting things

    • @jackparvin674
      @jackparvin674 5 лет назад +3

Truth seeker - That is mostly true. If it was a National Guard SF detachment then it wouldn’t be under the direct control of the federal government. Yes they would still be a part of the Army, but they would be beholden to the state government before the federal government. If they were a part of the National Guard then the Possi Comitatus Act wouldn’t apply. It only applies to federal troops on US soil and the Army and Air National Guard are specifically exempt from it (this was reaffirmed in the 1956 amendment that added the Air Force). But this does assume that they are National Guard soldiers and not soldier in the federal Army. Now, Possi Comitatus would apply if they were National Guard soldiers on federal duty, but if was just state orders it’s perfectly lawful (according to most court cases, but it is a hotly debated issue amongst some circles of legislature and the judiciary) (www.history.navy.mil/research/library/online-reading-room/title-list-alphabetically/p/posse-comitatus-act-and-related-matters-a-sketch.html). Once again, this is just a possible answer. I still completely agree that it’s very strange and should be investigated. I just feel like all possible answers should be weighed equally, lest we automatically assume the most wild theories with no foundation.
Tl;dr - Not really cause the Natty Guard is and isn’t the real Army
Edit: the link I included isn’t working so here’s my source instead

First off, the FBI lead investigator who killed himself, did he really? Or was the immense stress he was under causing him to talk or act irrationally, to the point he became a threat to the cover up therefore becoming expendable? Also, there have been a small number of victims found alive. I've been wondering if these people were just simply rejected for some reason? As it has been stated numerous times in the comments, we need to start looking well beyond the realm of our practical mindset. I think whatever is responsible for these disappearances isn't the same entity that is roaming the national parks. Whatever they are, obviously they have no regard for the human race. I think the being doing the taking is
like a bounty hunter and is most definitely some type of shapeshifter. That easily explains how a young child could be lured off the path and into the tree line or bush. Where they are taken who knows, but the bodies , or parts of ,that are later found , are discovered in an area that had been searched several times before. I feel there is something unique about human beings that they need to exploit. Some of us are just more attractive to them then the rest of us. Kind of like what the fishermen do when they haul up there lobster traps and toss back the ones that don't measure up.

The Dennis Martin disappearance is a complicated story. The figure moving through the woods which the Key family boy thought was a bear was identified by the father as a man-like figure. It looked to him like a man who was carrying something, but he was too far away to make an absolute identification. So we in fact do not know what it was. It could have been a man, it could have been a man-like cryptid (aka bigfoot), or it could have been an animal misidentified as a human-like figure. Completely unknown.
The Special Forces unit which showed up could have been on a mission related to the disappearance, or it could simply have been taking advantage of the situation to get in some training or field experience. Again unknown.
The approach of the rain which followed the disappearance could have triggered some abnormal behavior in the boy Dennis leading to his disappearance, rather than being somehow the consequence of the fact that he disappeared. Could be just a coincidence too. Again, an unknown factor.
The behavior of the investigators raises some eyebrows too. But sometimes investigators have their own reasons. So, connection and motive unknown.
The fact that the FBI agent observing the search later committed suicide is ominous. But it could have been for completely unrelated reasons, even undisclosed health issues. Again, connection unknown.

The phone mfc authenticated the picture although they said that phone should not have even been able to take it. They were as baffled as he & his wife were. I've seen odder things happen but the real key for me that she was on spot was when she said everything went silent, like a moment frozen in time & anyone who has ever been in the forest; all the creatures go quiet when a serious predator is around or right before some natural phenomenon/disaster occurs. What gets me is what would this woman have to gain by lying? Her grandson & everyone present at his sporting event saw the UFO overhead, so what about that? They are conspiring because? One other point about a lot of the 411 disappearances is where no one hears a scream or any shouting, even when they are virtually a few meters behind them. What kind of scenario could that happen? Could they not speak? Can sound not transfer during the abductions? Is this something to do with the twilight zone effect in which a lot of people report on (no wind/no sounds/no birds animal noise), a change of dimension, relating to portals? He was separated from his brother and friends for only a couple of minutes. His father and grandfather immediately started searching for him to no avail. He should've been within earshot but he wasn't. Only thing I can think of is maybe he wanted to play a trick of his own on his family and decided to hide and jump out to scare them when they found him then got lost. For what it's worth, any local law enforcement is essentially allowed to call upon the FBI for assistance whenever they want. It's pretty safe to assume that any time they're dealing with a tough case or one they'd like to solve as fast as possible, it would not be out of the norm to call on the FBI for help. This is especially noticeable in cases that involve children.
I don't think the FBI involvement is nearly as "mysterious" as Mr. Paulides likes to claim. The man is quite notorious for exaggerating things. He does make his living selling books and speaking appearances, after all. If he didn't have ways to "captivate" his audience he wouldn't be very successful, so his embellishments are fairly understandable. While the work he does on these cases is definitely important and usually quite commendable, I would still take any of the "mysterious" things he says with a grain of salt.

Very perplexing cases that beg us to think beyond what's at face value. One thing I can be sure of is that the gov. Knows way more than what we do. It is very sad and terrible that families will never know what really happened to their loved ones.

Some of them notice the distortion in their view, and they go to look at what it is...This is when they make the crucial mistake of walking into it, and sometimes it only takes placing your hand/arm in, and it will pull you in...If you see this distortion in your line of view, never approach it...They are dimensional vortex's that will usually close within 3-13 minutes...

When i was around 16 and my brother was 5 we went for a hike in the swiss mountains. The track we we're walking was called death and ghost way. After my parents and me and my brother walked for around 1h we reached a little hill with some trees. My little brother hade to release himself, so he went on this hill behind the trees and released himself. After 1-2min we started joking if he did drink so much, but there was no answer. We went to look but to our surprise he was gone. At first we tried to find him, but after looking for him without any results my mom panicked. So i went back to town to call help while my parents keept searching. In a short time the police and firefighters were helping to search. 2 days my brother was gone. After this 2 days a police officer found him. He found him behind the tree he went for his business, but something has changed. His natural brown hair was now totally grey. Till today he does not know where he was, or why his hair color changed. He can't remember anything. Maybe it's better this way.

They're really out there people just need to dispell any limiting beliefs and open their minds. Just do a bit of research and you will know this is the truth. Great job covering these missing cases! Often when David is interviewed, I just want to hear cases' facts and details, but they keep speculating on why the National Parks doesn't work with David. It's frustrating because we get it, they don't like David. I love hearing all these great details that often people don't realize, the just strange and down right peculiar evidence or even the lack there of, of any reasonable clues. Ephesians 6:12-13 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of [c]the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Michael, I agree with your assessment. From the evidence of what happened, something evil has the ability to take people and cross into an alternate dimension. Time and time again from various missing person cases all over the world you hear about many people see rescuers and they cry out to them but no one can see or hear the vanished person. It is also my opinion that there might be a chance instead of using infra-red camera, try using an ultra-violet camera. Humans can only see 5% of the visible light spectrum. Who knows what could be seen in the other 95%?

I agree with the cloaking theory. I think it was the movie Cabin in the Woods, where they were driving to the cabin through the wilderness. A bird flew from above seemingly following them only to run into and be electricuted by some huge unseen grid/cloak. The characters didn't see it, and were able to drive right through. Movies are never far from the truth.

The bottom line is this: In the great outdoors there is lots of beauty and rewards, but as with anything there are very real dangers. Living in Canada, I can guarantee that in 2020 we are still unaware of some fauna and flora that has an immense playground with countless nooks to hide and live in without any interference. This is only on the surface. There is still a completely un-mapped underground...
One thing that is perhaps overlooked is that some of these disappearances have the victim speed up their pace right before they are lost. Either that or they exhibit a desire or motivation to go somewhere off the trail.

Anyways looking at the comments on this there’s lots of fantastic theories, especially infrasound. The things I cannot understand, one being why occasionally any remains of victims show up rather than disappear altogether like the others. I guess maybe one day we’ll know more.

If someone goes missing in the woods mysteriously and anomalously - Inspect the tree lines. Inspect trunks for signs of climbing damage. Look up. Not down or forward.
Most clothing that carries heavy scents will be dropped from above, giving the weird placement and piles.
Find a water way - Rivers. streams. Brooks.
Form at least a 10 mile radius.
And always head towards elevate ground - Mountains.
