I just started learning and practicing this method. My PB instantly fell from 2:38:36 to 2:13:45! An eternity away from Feliks' 0:4:22, but I'm working on it...
Felik's PB in competition is actually 4.16, which is the 2nd best solve in competition. I don't know exactly what it is but his PB at home is probably 3 seconds and that's just insane. Good job on your PB!
I’ve been cubing for 2 weeks, with like a month in between the weeks, and my PB is now 58 seconds, and during that time I figured out 2 and 4 in this video before watching it
J Perm thank you very very much. Today, I competed against my friend who also used the Advanced CFOP and coincidentally, we learnt everything from you. Your videos are always so helpful 😊 The more interaction I have with rubik's cubes, the more I realize how amazing it is to thoroughly understand a rubik's cube !
You can do the second problem in only 6 moves instead of 8. You first do the blue (1 move), then do the green and orange to the correct sides (3 moves) which makes the red go up with only 2 more moves needed to solve it (one to align it and one 180º move to bring it down).
Nice video! I've been watching a lot of cross and f2l videos to try and break my pb single of 20.113. Your videos are definitely the most detailed and helpful.
Sounds silly but your advice to not think about the centers and just solve the cross was that puzzle piece I needed to be able to plan out my moves from inspection. One of those oh duh, why didn't I think of that moments. So thank you for that.
I'm struggling a bit with practicing since I'm not sure how I should practice. I'm not at the point where I can visualise the whole cross, and I don't know what I should pay attention to to get to that point
@@LiorOpler In the last 2 days I've made my own method to practice this. I grab a pen and a piece of paper and then I write down the moves I have to do to make the cross without turning anything on the cube. If needed I make some notes where the pieces go, and I try to get as many pieces in place as possible. If I can't keep track of the pieces because I do too many moves then I'm not doing it efficiently enough. If I find a piece that is hard to put into place then I look for an easier piece and I see if I can use those moves to make the hard piece easier. I also avoid doing the easy pieces first since they can get in the way of the solve or I can make them solve themselves while solving another piece. Once I've figured out the moves I need to do to solve the cross then I do those moves without looking at the cube. Practicing the cross like this takes a long time. It can take well over a minute for me to solve the cross, but I hope I start to recognise patterns and I hope I'll eventually get faster at it. I can barely handle all 4 pieces this way, but I know how to solve the cube for like 5 years already (I haven't seriously practiced F2L before now though). So if this is still too hard for you then it may be better to focus on 2 or 3 pieces first. Like, try to figure out how to put 2 pieces in, and then without looking at the cube you put them in. And then you can figure out the other 2 pieces. If you've done that a few times you can try to do it with 3 pieces and then the last one. If you can do that regularly then you can try to do all 4. For me my next step is to try it without paper. I can already do the beginning without writing it down. When I can reliably do it without writing anything down then I'll start to time how long it takes. I hope you this technique works for you as well. Honestly, my time improved immediately by spending longer figuring out my starting moves before starting. It might take me a minute or two, but I think teaching my brain to do this will help a lot. It’s the only time in the solve I get to plan ahead, so I may as well use it!
i just got back into cubing and im not very good right now but i just came up with the same cross solution as him and now my confidence is restored lol.
Oh thank god, you have a video for everything. Even the first tip (after telling us to solve the cross on the bottom) instantly decreased my cross time
If I say truly his solution is better as there is a difference of 2 moves and you do a lot of Rs Fs and Ds so you can do his solution faster than yours and legit L' is so hard if you think it while doing something. and we often use our left hand to hold our cube.
When I first started cubing it felt like learning a new language: Hard at first but it gets easier and then suddenly you can talk to people in different countries and they understand you. For the second scramble (5:33) I have an solution for the white cross with 6 moves: R' B' L' F' U B2 (yellow side = U, green side = L, orange side = F, etc.) So I would like to know if this solution is faster than the one from the video.

That are 6 moves and if I counted well you used 8
He avoids b moves because regrips
talking about move efficient, yes it is, but it has a B move, so it's a regrip and it takes more time than doing the solution that jperm put
5:36 DAAAAAAAAMN THAT WAS A FAST SCRAMBLE
Yeah it’s not a big deal I have done it before and gotten 0 sec wr and it was banned cause I wasn’t using cfop method smh
My cross literally held me back 10 secs inasolve now I’m averaging 15-20 seconds
Goddamn
Lol haja
Dude tf 🤡
i was trying to see what cube u used and i saw "thank you for 200 subs!" honestly man youve grown so much and you for sure deserve it youve tought so many people how to solve the cube and just thank you for being a great yter
Wow! This video really helped. After practicing the cross for atheist 2 weeks i came back and did the solutions exactly as dylan had done them. Thanks a lot j perm!
As a beginner I have to confess its confusing
This is cpof not beginner
Bro I’m not begging nd I still can’t do it
Begginder
Yeah but you'll know you're getting better if this makes more sense
Honestly, my time improved immediately by spending longer figuring out my starting moves before starting. It might take me a minute or two, but I think teaching my brain to do this will help a lot. It’s the only time in the solve I get to plan ahead, so I may as well use it!
Thanks a lot!! This really helped me, now i just need to keep on practicing!!!😀
The best cubing youtuber in the world:
J PERM!!!
Thank you so much, you saved me about 20 seconds of my solve!Really helpful,my time has gotten Lower beacuse of you!
OMG! MILLIONTH VIEW!!!!
its weird but i think eyeryone on youtube knows who mrbeast is
@@minty3081 oh yes i know him!
OMG! No one cares.
OMFG IM THE 1,748,668TH VIEW :0
@@Vevvy j perm obviously did
I followed this a few months ago (2 months of straight days pratice) now i can do it around sub 2.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
MasterfanZelda im sub 15
MasterfanZelda nice
Goodluck
He meant sub 2 seconds for cross
i dont get whats funny
I have rewatched this for over 5 times and still don't understand the first tip.
Just build the cross around the white center and ignore other centers, you can just align the cross with the centers at the end
i just got back into cubing and im not very good right now but i just came up with the same cross solution as him and now my confidence is restored lol.
Oh thank god, you have a video for everything. Even the first tip (after telling us to solve the cross on the bottom) instantly decreased my cross time
For scramble #2, you did (facing Red): R F L R D’ R’ D’ R2 (8 moves)
I did (facing green): B’ L’ F’ R’ U L2 (6 moves)
If I say truly his solution is better as there is a difference of 2 moves and you do a lot of Rs Fs and Ds so you can do his solution faster than yours and legit L' is so hard if you think it while doing something. and we often use our left hand to hold our cube.
I think someone might have noticed the description he has 200 subs and now 1million
6:21 isin't it faster to do (holding red at front and yellow at the top) L' F' R' B' U F2?
SO HELPFUL!!! THANKS!
When I first started cubing it felt like learning a new language: Hard at first but it gets easier and then suddenly you can talk to people in different countries and they understand you. It was like entering a new world. Then I watched this video and was like: So there's more than one world of cubing... It was like a whole new galaxy inside of a world. Blew my mind 🤯
I like the way you scramble up the cube....
"Thank you for 200 subs!" little did he know...
Thanks, this helped me alot I can finally do cross in under 3 seconds
Omg thx i realized smth becuz of you, i relied to much on the center piece. This is definitely but im desperate to learn it
Thanks J Perm, you don't know how much this helped me😊😊
omg the 3 move center helps a lot. thnx
For the second scramble (5:33) I have an solution for the white cross with 6 moves:
R' B' L' F' U B2
(yellow side = U, green side = L, orange side = F, etc.)
So I would like to know if this solution is faster than the one from the video.
With standard Yellow on top and Green in front, I also came up with a similar 6 moves for the second scramble: L' F' B' R' U L2
Same. With yellow top, green front I came up with B’ L’ F’ R’ U L2
We had the exact same just different facing fronts
No one:
Literally no one:
J perm: "aNd HeRe It Is, A liTtLe fAsTeR"
In this video's description it says "thank you for 200 Subscribers" but now you are growing freakin' fast you have 700k subscribers now and your content is always amazing!.
this video really deserves a like jperm made my cross from 8-12 seconds to 2-6 thank you so much this really helped me now you have another sub thank you so much
5:34 I cant even follow the scramble right....
Same I gave up on the scrambles
3:20 You can do F2 R2 F2
Regrips
Kevin Zv yeah
But he does it in 5 moves and F2 R2 F2 would be six.
@@jerbie970 double turns count as a single move (in ETM)
Doing F2 R2 F2 requires you to have more regrips and longer resetting time
6:19 a better solution
x2 y' R' B' L' F' U B2
EDIT: is it better J perm? Yours was 8 moves mine is 7?
EDIT: 7:46 another good way
x2 y' U2 L D2 F' B' D
Both are better than the j perms solution I think
for beginners:
i think the better one is one that u can do easily without pauses
and if u r a pro...
u already know much much more than me xD
I don't really think it's good. Yes, there's lesser moves, but the use of the B face destroys the speed of the solve.
You are the inspiration of lot of Indians who make their videos to copy your method....!!😉😉😉
Man I've been out of cubing for about 10 years, the level of tutorial material on youtube is INCOMPARABLE, can't wait to break 25 seconds
“Can always be done in 8 moves or less”
Me: 👀😐 does it in 15
8
478.5 moves
Damn, that’s just pro
The tips you gave really helped me
Sir , I I'm a sub 40 cuber. It's takes me 10 sec for the cross . Can you please upload 1 video to help me please. Thanks a lot sir.
It takes 10 dollar to get a critique
Ankush Khurana he has a ton of videos. I can get the white cross in 6-7 seconds and I average 59 seconds. PB 49seconds. Attempting to learn F2L now.
Yeah actually I was at your stage just a few weeks ago by only practicing and sticking to JPerm today I am a sub 30 with 18.3 pb I know everyone has the potential u just need to be steadfast
@@jbw5485 you averaged 59 with beginner method...
ok so I'm clearly not very bright (1m 20s before f2l)
Omg the description says thanks for 200 subs! Congrats on 1.2M haha
People in 2024 confoos
Thank you jperm ❤ you helped me improve my cubing this is a very good video
Wow, in the description it says "thank you for 200 subs," and im sitting here in 2020 with you having 450k subs and almost 3 million views on this vid.
Thats crazzzzy
WTF!? Ur video has 2 DISLIKES!??!!! Some shady stuff is going on here... Cuz ur vids never have dislikes..
+SFNCuber Haha after reaching a larger audience I expected some dislikes. Everyone gets dislikes eventually!
Believe what u believe... But something is wrong...
134 people liked the video directly after a BLD solve.
Now it has 650 dislikes.. Rip
Niemel Hánsa 733 lol 😂
2:01 THE ONE PIECE IS REAL
can me got much higher
can he get much higher
So high

Yesss I needed help in the white cross part 😂 NAILED IT 🤣🤣
