"SUFFERING: the ties that bind" is one of the best horror franchises with a silent protagonist. This is before "dead space," so yeah, it was gnarly and was creepy AF. This games moral system was one of the best as well. And the 3 endings was a nice touch. Made for great replay value and even dialogue choices. If you had the same memory card for both games, the 2nd game picks up right after your choices in the first game. Example, if youre evil the game starts off with Jordans foot soldiers finding you passed out on the island still
They could easily revive this series with the premise they have. With the monsters being tied to specific locations where certain evil things happened. They could make games based on places all over the world. I don’t know if the games would be the same without torque though

I miss this game. Yes, way more linear than the first one, and the story is all over the place, but action and atmosphere was good. Damn that shotgun dismemberment on those ugly creatures was good! Wish the first game has that. This series of games in dire need of a remaster.
I agree, it was so hard to write the script/story in digestible way bc of how all all over the place it was. But it was easier to progress through the game without a walktrough so I had a lot of fun!
Did the foundation create the monsters? I thought the monsters were supernatural creatures that formed from human atrocities over the years and the foundation just captured and studied some of them
@@EvanHelblingYTI never read anything that suggests that the foundation created these monsters. After reading all the journals and note slips, I never got that implication. Jordan only said that her Life's work revolves around them. We see that they study them and capture them, but even the scientists within the foundation seem baffled by the creatures' makeup. It's only been confirmed that the creatures spawn to an indefinite degree when a cataclysm occurs. That Cataclysm being Torque's arrival/presence, considering that these things existed 5 years ago, causing mayhem over at Eastern Prison during the riot, before Torque was sent to Carnate Island.
@EvanHelblingYT what's the sound effect at 1:12 when Blackmore hits Torque? And the sound effect at 4:43-4:44 ? Please tell me, I gotta know! Also this game from my childhood was one of the scariest, and I loved playing it. Man I miss the 2000s

What a way to kill a franchise, the Tyler durdan plot twist is no where near as compelling as just letting the player choose what kind of person Torq is.
dr killjoy was such a goon in this game, nothing like his roll in the first game. just the wrong vibe. ... ... am i insane? suffering 1 game play had natural flow. suffering 2 felt like i was a stumble bum always halting the game play to address new questionable puzzle tasks and less than par bosses?
Killjoy just taunted me in this game, but also was like the map from Dora the Explorer. In the first game he was an enemy literally tossin demons at me. Yeah it kinda felt like that foreal I feel ya man
I can imagine how fans of the first Suffering game felt when they played this sequel, both with the shift towards more action and the effective retcon to Torque's backstory. It seems to be the fate of many action-horror games, FEAR in particular being a big example I feel. Also how does a sequel to The Suffering have more in common with the plot of Fight Club than the actual game based off of Fight Club lol
I can bet a lot of people didn’t like the switch, but for me it was a lot easier to play in one sitting bc of the linear gameplay. Had a lot of fun tho. I was gonna mention fight club but didn’t wanna spoil it just incase lol

Thankyou my dude! Haha my parents only knew of GTA being a bad game for kids, so thats how I did it
The suffering ties that bind was so well polished and put together a year later after the suffering just my opinion love both games❤
This was a great series I really enjoyed playing it back in the day! This really deserves a remaster and they could fit both games in one now.
I absolutely loved these games. The suffering is the first survival horror game i ever played. I wish they would remake these games....heard the rights were tied up or sumn...idk
Those rights are tied and binded I guess
@@EvanHelblingYT lol...true!
I have AMAZING ideas for more Suffering games, I would definitely purchase the rights to this game if I could.
I grew up playing these games and watched horror movies even before I was in Kindergarten.
I'm looking forward to continue to make my presence known on this platform and possible if God allows it I can make this dream come true.
Always ❤️ getting a notification for your content. Nostalgically entertaining! (hopefully you’ll get around to B.L.A.C.K someday. but til then, keep em coming. 👑👍)
-Ignore this timestamp, it’s for me.(4:11 - 11:41)
I appreciate you a lot my man! ❤️ I’m seein a lot of that and Manhunt being recommended, so they’ll definitely be made (will do man)
Such a cool game.
Found your channel a couple days ago via your video on the first Suffering which was a favourite of mine as a kid! Easiest sub in ages dude! Love your content! Binged almost all your videos as I haven’t been able to sleep lately due to severe illness 😞 now this pops up as I’m literally laying in a hospital bed! Thanks for covering this too! 👍🏻 and for cheering me up a bit 😊
Thankyou so much dude! I’m happy I made a vid on that 😄 Wishin you the best man, just gotta keep hopes high and laugh as much as possible. And I’m glad I can make it a lil easier for ya 🤘❤️
@@EvanHelblingYT Glad to hear that. And you've created a good video too! I had a great time watching it.
The Suffering: Ties That Bind...
Or as I like to call it "A Normal Day in Baltimore simulator"
That’s an exquisite title I tell ya
Dirty ass Baltimore 🎶🎵
Did the foundation create the monsters? I thought the monsters were supernatural creatures that formed from human atrocities over the years and the foundation just captured and studied some of them
From what this game says, the Foundation created them but they follow me around pretty much. For the first game it’s different I think
This story is fire needs a remake, both games. Not for modern audience, for a normal audience.
Another certified banger, can't wait for the algorithm to pick you up
I appreciate ya man, hopes are up!
I wish they would remastered them both and release them for modern systems
These with smoother gunplay would be so good today
DISNEY KITCHEN FOR PS1 POR VA FOUR
@EvanHelblingYT what's the sound effect at 1:12 when Blackmore hits Torque? And the sound effect at 4:43-4:44 ? Please tell me, I gotta know! Also this game from my childhood was one of the scariest, and I loved playing it. Man I miss the 2000s
Ohhh that’s the Tony Hawk Special Trick sound effect haha. One of the greatest things ever
Dude, I just found you outta nowhere. The Timesplitters memes and sounds you use are just top tier. Literally, you are like the only person to use such blissful sound waves that penetrate my inner canals.
And so many of these games I also share a fond memory of, and joy from being literally stuck with a PS2 for the majority of my life gaming.
The editing is top notch, and it's just what i'm trying to achieve with my own style, you sir have gained a sub, and you need some more traction as well lol.
Thankyou dude, i’m glad my sound fx are working as i’d always hoped haha.
That’s pretty much the main reason I made this channel, to remember all the great times we might’ve forgotten growin up! I appreciate it man, good luck on your journey 🫡
7:29 -Wilhelm- Cortez scream
What a way to kill a franchise, the Tyler durdan plot twist is no where near as compelling as just letting the player choose what kind of person Torq is.
I agree there, I hate the overall ending
So i have a question does anyone remember downhill domination on ps2 its a bmx game i used to play all the time you should totally make a vid on it
dr killjoy was such a goon in this game, nothing like his roll in the first game. just the wrong vibe. ... ...
am i insane? suffering 1 game play had natural flow. suffering 2 felt like i was a stumble bum always halting the game play to address new questionable puzzle tasks and less than par bosses?
Killjoy just taunted me in this game, but also was like the map from Dora the Explorer.
In the first game he was an enemy literally tossin demons at me. Yeah it kinda felt like that foreal I feel ya man
There are actually three different endings to the first game. It depends on how you play it.
I actually remember. Nobody really cared TOO much. It wasn't regarded as a good change, but the gameplay was fun enough. FEAR got way worse.
I feel like this was one of the 720p games on xbox? I remember it looking great.
Bruh I played the demo for this game so many times because of mk Armageddon, core memory
iSTFG! MK: Deception demos were how I discovered The Suffering series & Area 51 as well. Remember both demos were horrifyingly awesome to me & my brother. Forming an early fascination for dark games with Mature Ratings, Shooters, and Horror aspects. LoL Simpler times man, simpler times..
I was just playing through that, I knew I saw the trailer somewhere
You should do a video on FreekStyle, seriously underrated and pretty unkown game imo
I remember my buddy sold me this for 10 bucks so he can get a gram best deal I ever got.
This is one of those channels that’s gonna just blow up soon I can tell. Glad I got here early. Good job, man.
I appreciate that a lot man, thankyou!
I remember the demo on mortal combat shaoalin monks for origional xbox i played it so much
The first game was a classic action horror game, 2 was a decent sequel if you like that kind of thing but it had a villain i absolutely truly hate.
I need you yo wear your winter hat while recording. Nothing wrong with your hair, I just got used to the hat while watching the 1st episode of this game xD
Hahaha well I think there’s 3 or 4 other winter hat wearing videos on my channel. But I won’t say, happy hunting 🤭
Hey don’t know if you’ve done it already, but do you plan on doing a video for Tony hawk project 8. That was my child hood.
I think I might just have to do that 😎
Someone: * deletes themselve by jumping off the roof*
Me: bro was testing fall dmg 💀💀
Testin the feather falling boots
I really hate that game preservation is such a joke. Companies need to find a way to bring these old games to current consoles so everyone can experience older games.
Companies are so picky about which games can be ported to next gen. Thankfully emulation exists
Why is this music from PS2 "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone"?
It’s a beautifully versatile soundtrack
So It's just a rip off of Manhunt 2? Came out at the same year, I don't know sounds tricky for me that shares almost the same story.
I gotta dive into Manhunt 2 it seems
Dude you are hands down my favorite. Have you ever played the game Second Sight? If not please do a video on it pleeeeease for the love of timesplitters
Thankyou dude! Sounds interesting, I’ll have to check that one out
I found you yesterday cos of time splitters and am binging the backlog, you have earned a sub sir
Im glad you found me man, I appreciate that!
Just came across your channel and wanted to say your content is impressive! Keep putting out stuff and I could see you getting big for sure
Thankyou dude! I’m lookin forward to makin more and seeing where I go ✌🏻
So is the neutral ending the canon ending for the series?
I think it also depends on your save from the first game, so I might have been wrong here lol
I remember playing the demo on i think it was mortal kombat shaolin monks
i had both on the ps2 back in the day, i loved the 2nd one
iv been grinding your videos can easily seeing you get 100k subs in no time also was here when he had 7.3k lol
Thankyou my man, I really appreciate that. I’ll remember that hehe
U should do rocket power beach bandits !!!!! It was for the GameCube & ps2 I believe
Yep I plan on it :)
They need to remaster the games ( and add a Ranse Truman side story )
