My man, you absolutely 100 percent need to be the main VA / writer for a 1940s detective noir video game. The deadpan delivery, the corny elaborate jokes, it's just too perfect.
I'm still pissed you're not blowing up. Your gaming commentary videos are AVGN, JonTron, Mandalore level of commentary and style. Glad you still produce these videos consistently cause I watch them as soon as they are put out.
@@lucasportasio I found out his channel cause I was feeling nostalgic and searched Time Splitter reviews then went down the rabbit hole lol algorithm is a lot of it tho
Honestly this game has some neat ideas, it just wasn't able to do what they wanted to at that point. Getting another crack at it would be sick. And its not like the marketplace would be against a The Thing video game done right. Still Wakes the Deep has gotten a tone of horror fan traction and it seems impossible to find a video without one person referencing The Thing. I'm eager beaver for it.
Fun fact: when you get up the elevator at the end where Whitley runs away, you can shoot stun grenades down the hall he is standing in and then use the games trust system to recruit him. It takes a lot of ammo and a good weapon but it is doable.
One of the scariest game on PS2 back in the day. Sure some of its experimental mechanic are imperfect or even rigged at best, but dang this game really makes me feel like a rescue team leader who himself need a rescue at a remote part of Antarctica. Proud to still own this game copy and great commentary as always.
One of the most underrated aspects of this game is the surprise scripted "Thing-outs". On the surface, it seems to be flawed game design. However, then you realise that you've given that scripted Thing a successful Blood Test, and come to the horrifying realisation: _The Thing has learnt to pass the Blood Test._ Amazing how flawed scripting can result in some truly terrifying implications, can't it?
"By community standards, I shouldn't be showing you this--just kidding. I don't care." Congratulations, my man, I have subscribed. That, and the dad puns and the dry humor.
Have you ever made a video covering the game called "Whip Lash" were you play as a weasel with a rabbit on a chain. You escape Mad Scientists that have been doing a ton of research testing on the animals. They've been using all of them as lab rats. It's a surprisingly underrated game from that era of the PS2/Xbox. I hardly ever see anyone talk about it. I wish we still got games that are similar in nature to Whip lash..
There is a game that came out around last year that had a mechanic of two characters chained together, and as a 3D platformer at that. Goes by name of Hell Pie. Be warned: It's here to quite gross, crass and gory with its humor.
I played this game back when it came out in 2002 and literally forgot the name about it. I remember the premise but never the name. 22 years later I found it!!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you so much!!! I will play it again. Back in 2002 I was 8 years old and now I am 30. I am gonna cry! Omg! 😭😭😭Thank you so much!!!

Honestly i was like..."we haven't seen a new video since 1 month ago with Psi-ops" and BUM! NEW VIDEO!!!! Keep up the good work Evan!! I pray for a ''Sly Cooper 2" video or maybe "Shenmue"(Great game to be honest)!!!
Your editing and commentary is top tier! I actually played this game recently for the first time so it was fun to watch this while still having the game fresh in my mind. Enjoyed it for the most part but some elements have not aged that gracefully and it really goes downhill fast towards the end with all the soldiers...
How dare you stand where the SpoonyOne once stood!...actually, this was quite informative, and very well produced. Thank you for the content to enjoy, and I hope you make more of it.
oh that brings me back, I really enjoyed the pace of this game. It's start as a standard investigation, then end up in pure horror and abomination where you are fearing your own crew team. Not to mention the suicide part, truelly devastating :/ The cheat was to reload after you know that they will transform and then took all their weapon.
Not even kidding the brand new jacket right to the hangar joke immediately made me subscribe and then watch all your videos from the beginning of your channel. Wonderful content and fantastic editing!! So glad your videos ended up in my recommended
I like how The Thing franchise has two movies and a game that spans like 30 years but they all happen on the same day and in the same place
More like same week

Hey at least we are getting it on modern hardware, baby steps.
I saw it on the xbox marketplace, lookin forward to watchin gameplay on it!
I hope they will add more checkpoints because the original game got very hard and frustrating later in the game.

This is the game that made me a Saliva fan. That song "After Me" in the end credits hit me harder than the game did
