Well. I have had the TR70003 for six months. I did the muddy jeans test on it for the first wash. "Why wait?", I thought to myself. So I ground fresh mud into my jeans and dumped them in, kinda threw them in actually, like it was a basketball goal, you know. Four pair. Maybe five. But four at least. I actually read the manual on this machine. I know, right? It said to use the presoak button if you need to clean such stuff, about a 15 minute soak that automatically occurs before the regular cycle. It's really hard to do, you push a single "Soak" button. Even I could do it and I'm a guy. The jeans came out perfectly clean. So, this means with the TR series, you save money on clothes since the TC will destroy your clothes with its rough action and instead your clothes get clean through smart washing action rather than raw rough agitation available with the TC model as well as the original style Speed Queen washer. So, after having and selling a 2010 original style Speed Queen washer because it was destroying my clothes, see, I really do know what I'm talking about, I am very happy with my new TR7 (and I suppose the TR5 and TR3) wash action, clothes savings and the monster warranty that comes with all the TR series. Thanks for your time.
The TC5003 model is the best for all items. You can use the permanent press or heavy duty setting for blue collar work clothes, kids sports uniforms, towels, and rugs. The bulky/sheets setting uses a gentler agitation to be gentle on your clothes but still gets them clean, and the delicate cycle is like handwashing.
This is an honest review and I get what you're saying, but feels like you're niche case. You're a farmer trying to get your whites clean. I use to be a carpenter/ handy-man /odds-job. I know what it means to get dirty. I use to muck out cow stalls and dig concrete footings. I never wore whites because it wasn't worth the hassle. And if I still did stuff like that, I think the TC5 would be better for me. But i'm like 95% of other people now. Just needing a machine to wash out sweat and the occasional grass stain. Looking at other people's reviews, I think the TR7 fits my needs better. Everyone else who owns one and doesn't have a super dirty job, loves the tr7. I think if you had done your research, you would have gone with the TC5 and saved yourself a lot of heartache.
We have the TC5 and it's the best machine we have owned in 30 years! LOVE IT and we have the matching gas dryer and it dries and fluffs clothes fast and without wrinkles! Speed Queen is the best!!!!!!!!!!!
I love my two year old TR7 and I still enjoy viewing youtube contributions. Several things I've noticed over the years. Buyers are NOT reading the Users Guide! Every one seems to use cold water and this is NOT the correct way to clean your clothes. A warm wash with a warm rinse ensures a clean wash for moderately soiled items. Warm water also reduces wrinkles. Cold is for delicate items only. It does not clean like warm and hot. It is useful only for colors that bleed easily and for sensitive fabrics. In wash temperatures colder than 60F detergents of any type do not dissolve well. If you have soiled with greasy stains, grass or ink, you need HOT water. Hot is best for whites and colorfast items, work clothes, soiled items and diapers. Select the hand wash for delicate items. Remember, detergent goes in first! Heaviest items go in first, lighter on top. Do not pour detergent over the clothes. It goes in first before the heavy clothes. Stay away from Fabric Softner. It puts a wax on your clothes and gums up your machine over the years. Use the pre soak for soiled items!! Note that as in most top loaders, SQ does not recommend you wash pillows (because they are very buoyant. Sort by amount of soil and do not overload! You'll be very happy with this machine because it does clean well and does not bash items!! Read the manual and your clothes will be clean! Tons of special washes if needed beyond the panel selections! As an example one code is p3 to clean waterproof items rain coats. P4 is for SUPER SOILED clothes. These are just two examples of coded washes available. I keep my manual on the dryer for reference!!
My wife and I got this washer and dryer set new about a year and a half ago. It's our first time to own a Speed Queen product. We couldn't be happier with them. But if you're going to get the top of the line machine with a wide range of settings, do yourself a favor and familiarize yourself with how to operate it. If you have no interest in spending the time to learn how to use it, then get a washer with 3 settings. Small/medium/ large; cold/warm/hot.
What makes you think I didn't familiarize myself with the machine and it's settings? I tried every setting I was told to by the installation techs, as well as the place I bought it, as well as SpeedQueens Customer Service. I added bleach, and more bleach, and even more bleach. Whites don't stay white in this machine. Stains don't come out in this machine. Besides, as I mentioned, SpeedQueen replaced the machine with a new machine with an agitator and bingo, clothes are white again and stains come out. So, I'm pretty sure it was the design of the machine because SpeedQueen even stated to me, it's not a machine for people who get their clothes dirty, it's for professionals who just sweat a little. I applaud the fact it's working for you and your situation, but I need a washing machine, with an agitator, that get's clothes clean.
@timtullio1210 Well, my post wasn't directed at you specifically, but at anyone who would buy it and not bother to learn how to use it. I'm sorry for the experience you had with yours, and I genuinely have no idea what happened with yours, but the idea that this washer is for people who don't get their clothes dirty is a little silly. I suspect the SQ rep who made a remark similar to that was just trying to placate you. I own and drive semi trucks, and work on them. I have several acres of land and a tractor and work it too, so I'll put my weekly soil accumulation up against most people's, and we have no problem getting our clothes clean. SQ earned their reputation over many years, and they still have my business. Again, I'm not doubting your story, and I'm sorry you had trouble with yours. Just realize that you're in the minority. Ours is a 2022 year model and I've heard that SQ made some changes a couple of years before that. That may account for the difference, I don't know.
Tim I know exactly what you're saying.....Bought one, had the same issues! Kept it 5mo and sold it. Went out and looked at the Maytag commercial machine and then went back to the Speed Queen store and bought the TC5000, Problem Solved, clean clothes!!
Lawnmowerman: I'm going to seriously consider replacing my 2018 Speed Queen TR5 machine and traded it for the SPEED QUEEN TC5000 by going to the Appliance Store where I originally bought the 2018. Perhaps I could even get a reasonable price for even a 2021 that hasn't been unboxed.
@@albertcarello619 Sounds like a plan....you won't regret it, I didn't and actually look forward to using a good machine that not only works but gets our clothes clean🙂
While I sympathize with you for being unhappy with a big purchase (been there before), I’m just not having the same issues. We’ve only had our set for a few days, but did a ton of laundry catching up after our last one died, and everything has come out clean, including a white jersey that my son got a bunch of mud on playing outside. I just pretreated it with a stain remover in a soak/mixed gentle load, and it came out clean. The agitator shouldn’t have been a surprise, they are pretty clear this one cleans differently by moving water through the clothes, instead of the agitator moving clothes through water. It is definitely geared towards gentler cleaning, but still should do its job. Maybe it was a lemon? Sounds like your salesperson should have directed you to the TC5 for a more aggressive wash.
We got the AWN432 Speed Queen, and it was from before they redesigned their washer. We love it! Nowadays, get the TC5 as it is the original design, and it truly will clean clothes!!
So, it's 4-8-22, they just replaced the machine with a TC3. The first load of whites is in there washing as I write this. I sent them emails ever day of how many of you have watched the video, when it was a couple of hundred, I guess they threw in the towel and decided it was in there best interest to replace the machine. They did it for free, but man was it a fight. The gal at Speed Queen told me I was harassing her by sending her emails every day. I told her it's because you won't let me talk to anybody higher up in Customer Service and they have a bad machine they're charging people $1,300 and up for that doesn't clean clothes. I told her to do the right thing or I'd give her updates ever day. Thanks people for washing. Get a TC3 or 5, but not the TR7.
@PinkPower4 , but Speed Queen should be telling potential what the difference is between the two models. Or are they just sweet talking everyone with their awful TR machines?
For those of you who have the machine and say it works fine for you, I'm happy for you. Personally, knowing how it doesn't have an agitator to constantly pull the clothes through the water and the water through the clothes, I cannot see how that can be. Even Speed Queen acknowledges the machine was designed for "professionals who don't get their clothes dirty" not for people with kids, or whom get dirty. Like I mentioned in the video, I noticed my whites not being WHITE after the first load. That's with hot water, bleach, and the Heavy Duty cycle. However, after I posed this video and kept emailing the gal at Speed Queen every day with watch count of the video, they caved and replaced the machine with TC5 model. So, guess we're all happy now.
It’s a different wash system much more similar to frontloaders front loaders do not have an agitator they just tumble the clothes through the water this machine moves the water through the clothes at high volume. The same is it is if you hand wash something and you lift it and put it down through the water lifted and put it down through the water that same approach is what this machine does. The mechanical agitators actually push the clothes back-and-forth this is using water currents that get moved through the cloths.
"Even Speed Queen acknowledges the machine was designed for "professionals who don't get their clothes dirty" not for people with kids, or whom get dirty. ". I've reviewed the Speed Queen website on this product and find no such statement. Instead, I quote from the old style TC5 description: "...But if your fabric care needs lean toward the basic, this 30-year-old classic wash action produces faster cycles (roughly 30 minutes), while delivering clean results equal to Speed Queen Perfect Wash." So when they refer to "Speed Queen Perfect Wash" they are referring to the new TR7, TR5 and TR3 washers and further state the older style TC5 series is for those whose "needs lean toward the basic". So they say, to reiterate, this means the new machines are a little slower to wash but wash as well while being more gentle on your clothes. I suggest the new TR series machines are smarter also. The new machines will not likely go unbalanced. Mine has never after six months of experience with it. This is because it monitors the machine for unbalanced conditions and slows the spin until enough water has been spun out to again increase the spin speed without triggering another unbalanced condition. The TC5 has no such capability. It can go unbalanced like any old style machine. I cannot tolerate a machine unbalanced and banging the wall. I also point out that families with kids and teenagers and/or very dirty clothes do not have basic wash needs and so are better served by the many options available in the TR5 and certainly the amazing TR7. Finally, the guts of the new TR series comes from Speed Queens vaunted front loader machines. The motor is from the Front Loader. You can think of this new machine as a front loader with it's tub set up and down to function as a top loader. A great concept and execution. So I guess it is a choice between not so smart but classic and rough, the TC5, or the smart and smooth new machines, the TR series.
I had this washer I’m a retired person I thought it worked great. Excellent for sheets every day clothes everything I put in it. I definitely could understand if you have kids that play in the yard or you are a construction worker perhaps this is not the model for you. But if you want your clothes to last and look new and just do sheets towels and everything else this machine works terrific. Everything comes out fresh well rinsed and spun out.
@@petermaz701 no it’s not like a front loader because front loaders use gravity. It’s a very well-built, very poor performing washing machine. You know that it is a piece of shit when you complain about it and they tell you that you were not using the washing machine correctly. Everybody knows how to use a washing machine
@@Brownie-tg3nu well I have to choose to disagree with your statement many many people don’t know how to use a washing machine and to assume that tells me something. Many people overload washers way beyond their capacity and expect them to clean and really don’t know what they’re doing mixing detergent and softener and you name it all together using cold water when you need warm or hot so to make that statement is just out there and I’ll leave it at that.
@@petermaz701 well like you said you are retired! What I mean is when someone calls their speed queen dealer and tells them they are pissed off and that the machine they paid good money for doesn’t clean clothes it’s a problem. And for speed queen to have to coach their dealers how to respond to complaints that the washer sucks is also an indicator that the washer is not performing as expected is a problem also. I have fixed appliances for 22 years and do you know how many complaints I have heard about the regular speed queen having trouble cleaning? ZERO,and again as you said you are retired now so you are probably not getting your clothes dirty maybe the way you once did. In your case you are freshening up your clothes. And if you are happy with it who am I to tell you not to be? But as a consumer I’d appreciate a salesperson not telling me that the machine is not working because I’m using it the wrong way is a Goddamn dumb ass. For $1300 it sure as shit had better do a tremendous job but it doesn’t. Sorry,I was not and am not insulting you.
We are having different a experience.. Set delivered last week. I work in an office, husband works construction, son is teenager who sweats in AZ weather all day. Didn't realize how poorly our clothes were being "washed" by our LG.
it is belt drive , not gear drive and the agitator does slow aggressive on bottom turnover, and it is a us built commercial grade washer that is front serviceable and built to last up to 25 years, it is the best washer you can buy and if you think these are bad , just wait until you try a high efficiency washer , if you read up , if you work on a farm then you need a very aggressive gear driven agitator on the TC5 speed queen , unbeatable
Well said. I barely avoided the same disgust you feel. Luckily I researched a bit more and found the Maytag 586GW. That is a proper washing machine for $300 less with a 5 year warranty. Had it two weeks. Totally satisfied. It cleans like no others. Wonderful and I choose the water level. Not a bureaucratic control board.
I have the first generation of the Maytag Commercial Washer MVWP575GW and I agree with you it’s a wonderful washing machine and I wouldn’t give it up for anything. It takes 30 to 45 minutes to wash a load, it has the best agitator Whirlpool made and the clothes come out clean. I ordered it directly from Maytag and it has a 10 year warranty. It’s the closest to an old school machine at a reasonable price.
Did your salesman not explain the difference between the tc5 and the tr7??? They wash in a different manner. The agitator is fixed to the tub and does in fact work to clean the clothes.
@@timtullio1210 I think you were abused. Speed Queen should have explained the different models, levels of trim. You would have loved the Maytag commercial model
That’s interesting. When I bought mine the gentleman told me “It’s a great machine unless you’re a mechanic or a farmer, if so you want to get the other machine.
I’m really regretting buying this washing machine as is my wife. Very disappointed that ALL and I mean ALL our clothes does not come clean! I’m a service technician so I have dirty clothes, it comes out of this washing machine the same way it went in just wet of course. My wife had a few grass stains on her pants from work, still there after washing. I am absolutely beside myself at how terrible this machine is, I’d rather live with having to change agitator teeth than having dirty clothes. Thanks for the video, wish I would’ve found it before buying this POS!!!
I bought a Speed Queen washer over a decade ago as my GE washer failed in less than two years (and out of warranty). The technician explained that the GE washer failed because of the push for "green technology" with intense spin cycles. My GE washer developed a deafeningly loud spin cycle, like an aircraft engine. I saw videos of washing machines flying apart during spin cycles and didn't want anyone injured in my home. The technician said the GE ball bearings were destroyed within those two years: the cheaper option would be to just buy a new washer. After extensive research, I drove several hours to purchase my first Speed Queen. I am thrilled that our Speed Queen model has no electronic mother board, no displays, no water fill sensor. (I had observed these features on a competitor's washing machine at my parents and saw firsthand how problematic the water fill sensor could be.) I can open the lid to add that errant sock which didn't make it into the load. It continues to operate like a tank for this family of 6, including athletes. I have never had to call a repairman or replace a part. It is nearly impossible to buy appliances which are not loaded with computer electronics (and quickly fail). Perhaps this is the continued push from Washington, DC, to regulate water usage. The Wall Street Journal has recently reported how these evolving government guidelines have lengthened dishwasher cycles - by hours - as manufacturers try to comply with the government water usage guidelines.
I run an auto detailing company and the two TR7's we bought for the shop work fantastic - we needed commercial grade high use washers that are also quiet due to where they needed to be installed. They were quite pricy but the TR5's are unavailable due to supply chain issues.
@@Brownie-tg3nu we are very happy with them -!getting brake dust and fine particles out of the microfiber towels is crucial which is why we spent extra on the commercial model. - the direct drive agitation gets them clean without tearing them apart.
@@bangaloremusic Man you’d be amazed at the regular speed queen or their front loader. The TR is one best made, well designed quiet washing machine. Unfortunately it cleans like shit. Total dog shit.
Appreciate your video. You speak the "God's Honest Truth". I have the same machine, for 6 months or so. And it doesn't get clothes clean! My whites come out DINGY! Only way I can get things "kinda" clean is to use the soak function. But still my white socks have dirt stains. Now I fit both of your descriptions....white-collar by day (medical field), but blue-collar on the weekends (gentleman farmer, lol). I'm 56 years old, and have been doing my own laundry since 10, when my mother had enough of doing laundry (I'm the youngest of 7). I had a Samsung front loader for 7 years prior. Was
Thanks for the review! When did you get the machine? The original 2018 TR7 version was complete crap. SQ has since updated the firmware to change the wash motion which significantly improved it's cleaning performance. Wondering if your machine is running the older firmware. Consumer Reports does have a pretty interesting article on it if you're curious. The TR7 bolts the agitator directly to the drum and they spin as one. This removes the transmission and makes it much quieter and gentler on clothes, but also makes the cycles longer to get the same cleaning action. The TC5 models have the traditional agitator action which is quick and effective but much harsher on clothes. Note, I currently have a GE front load that I hate and have been looking into getting another SQ top load. I had a TC5 but left it when I sold my house for the new owners. I am regretting that decision, that thing was a beast. Anyway, hope this helps.
I never really recommend the TR series, but you should try out the TC5 washer next time, it's more louder but does have a agitator that is separate from the tub and it goes back and forth and beats your clothes along with it, it's powerful too and it's a lot more better than the TR7 in my opinion, you won't get that same control board through. The TR7 im pretty sure is meant to be soft and gentle on clothing, while the TC5 is more rough and really forces the clothing, i personally recommend the TC5 for you if you work really hard and sweaty and get your clothes dirty, while for the TR7 i heavily recommend you buy the TR7 if you don't have much clothing that don't get so dirty.
I am considering purchasing a Speed Queen. Sadly, I purchased a LG about 8 months ago which has a very similar washing style. I am unimpressed with the lack of cleaning. Seems the clothes sort of float and are never totally submerged. Am I getting the same thing with Speed Queen???
We bought this set in Dec 2021. Our clothes get clean and smell good compared to the crap junk Kenmore top load high efficiency we had. Hate the softener dispenser. Doesn’t snap on tight and falls off every time we unload clothes. Took us awhile to figure out the spots on our clothes were from not diluting the softener. Don’t like the dryer at all. The moisture sensing mode is crap. Drying for over 80min? We use timed dry. We research everything extensively and thought this was the smart investment with a 7 yr warranty. For the $2500 we are less than impressed.
They can be ok ish if you get the higher end front loaders. Other than that they are trash. My front loader has done about 9000 cycles according the the computer which is pretty good. Dryer has been trouble free. I did have to replace some inexpensive parts on the washer sooner than I should have.
The salesperson did you no favors selling you the TR7. They shouldve recommended the TC5 that actually has a working agitator and works great with no lid lock.
Sales guy tried pushing one of these on me at my local appliance store, bragging on how great the 7yr warranty is on it. I'm glad I did my homework before I went in. I wanted the TC500 and of course it wasn't in stock, so I bought the TV2000WN. I'm happy I didn't go with this model. I'm glad they swapped it out for you. Happy Washing!
Are you able to set the water level on the tv2000 or is it always a full tub? I was considering ordering one of these but I don't want it filling all the way up every load.
Thank you for sharing this information. I think I will go with the TC5. After watching videos the TC5 is harder on the clothes but gets them cleaner. So basically the TR7 is like the no agitator technology with the agitator right?
TC5000 is the one u want. I'm friends with the owners of a local appliance store. Their son services most brands.. he said to avoid the 3 and 7 models.. and to make sure to get the TC5000... not the TR5.. the tc has the more reliable drive.. and that's the one he used
@@timtullio1210 How long have you had it? Can they exchange it out? I have the TC5 and love it. Only wish it had a small load size. It only does large and medium.
@@Dr_ITguy337 I don’t like the TC only having a half tub and full tub option, but it’s negligible. They should let him swap it out for the classic. They know this machine is a huge problem,so much that if they don’t stop pushing it they are going to end up being Maytag episode 2
@@Brownie-tg3nu I agree about the water level on the classic. But there really isn’t much more of a choice. You could go Maytag commercial, but the internals are all plastic with a commercial sticker on the outside. Tub and gearbox all plastic.

I have this same model for years with 4 kids who all play sports and it works amazingly well. This farmer might not know how to properly load and wash his clothes 🤷♂️mine is fantastic
I know, how stupid am I! I was just loading it wrong. Man I never thought of that! You are so wise! BTW, the farmer has a degree in Atmospheric Science, Remote Sensing and Satellite Imagery. I think I can load a washing machine after doing it for 55 years.
No problems. Whites are white again, so assume it's doing it's job. I "think" it doesn't spin as much water out as I'm used to, but I have no complaints at this time.
So far, so good. My problem, after all, wasn't my last (samsung) dryer. With my new SQ, I discovered that my existing problem was my vent. It was very clogged. Caused my other dryer to stop heating. I guess the sensor kept from heating for safety purposes. Anyway, it was an ordeal for a few days with my new dryer until I figured it out.
When I went to look at Speed Queen washers, the sales person was very clear in saying if someone gets their clothes really dirty, the TC model is the one to get as it is VERY aggressive in cleaning clothes and the TR model may not get very dirty clothes clean. It sounds like the person who sold it to you didn't do their job to tell you that. If we were neighbors and you gave me 10% off, I'd buy it from you!
Speed Queen offers two fantastic models. If you live on a ranch, and have filthy nasty clothes, then you should have purchased the lower model. It beats the hell out of all of your clothes. The upgrade, TR7 can certainly still clean you clothes yet you should do the following. PRE STAIN nasty clothes. ALWAYS use the pre-soak option, select a very good detergent, not something from the Dollar Store. The other consideration is PINE-SOL 1/4 cup in every load. No, your clothes won't smell likePINE-SOL . Read about it or the back of the bottle which describes how to use in the wash. The molecules are able to get into the fabric of stains and remove them. You must use the PINE-SOL along with a decent laundry detergent. Just google it. Most often, people buy cheap laundry detergent are are angry at the washing machine!!!
I own a Speed Queen, It was the last year they made them with an agitator that works. I've been happy with this far. However, I'm in the market looking for something that will clean a comforter.
Alliance Laundry Systems needs to find a way to make the tub stay stationary during agitation. At least the TR series has proper suspension unlike other manufacturers
I don’t know any washer that is a stain remover….is the problem that your clothes stink, the stains aren’t coming out, or the water isn’t getting hot enough?
You are absolutely right! I have a TR7 for few months and no matter what detergent I use it doesn't clean any stains. I will be replacing it immediately.
You should have gone with the tc5.....I was almost set on tr7 over the tc5 because of the selection and customized wash options. If I go with SQ it'll be the TC5.
An improvement would be three vertical ridges or ribs in the sides of the drum, solidly made in the the same piece of metal as the rest of the drum. It would improve movement in the water when needed. The different cycles need different types of agitation whatever makes it, the drum itself or a center agitator.
Have you asked the retailer to take it back? I’m an appliance tech, and SQ is really putting dealers in a spot where they have angry customers. They seem defiant and they are doubling down on this POS. The front loader is the other option, but are are hard to find and are pricey. Stick with the classic speed queen. Side note SQ claims this washer cleans 4% better than the classic. We all know that this is obviously not true.
Speed Queen took it back and replaced it with a washer with an agitator after I sent them the daily viewing count of this video! My retailer told me to pound sound.

Wow you're mostly right the agitation is much different and "Gentler" on the TR7.... IT does agitate but nothing like the TC5 does.... the TC5 is a aggressive agitator while the TR7 sort of is more lazy about it. You still have these units?
Cold water washing may seem completely strange. Isn't hot water suppose to get our clothes cleaner? Well actually no. (not true) if you use a detergent that has been designed for a high efficiency machine it actually is just fine in cold water. Now depending on the detergent you use its gonna have varying levels of success. (Get a good quality detergent)When you switch to using cold water is using 90 % less energy than your machine would use when it uses hot water. If you are not getting the best wash switch to cold water. I have been using cold water and I love it. I received this information from Clean my Space on youtube and I was skeptical at first. I tried it. It is true. Try it.
I recently brought a samsung washer and returned it after almost 2 months. Had same problem - doesn't get stains off. I made sure I got the model with an agitator which did seem to move seperate from drum but honestly the design didn't seem effective. Worse yet is that a lot of these modern top loaders all behave the same - the water moves through the clothes like this TR7 does and the agitator doesn't do much. I only got the washer for a mothers day gift and to 'upgrade' from my no name brand which is 15 years old and did wash at a fraction of the time. Doesn't waste time sensing and you can open the lid anytime and it instantly stops the drum. The problem was that it tends to leave some lint behind on the clothes - especially the blacks. Thankfully I still had my old washer - I declined home depot's offer to take away my unit for $30. That was my best call during this purchase cause the return cost me 15% for restocking fee and pickup. I think I'm just gonna have a maintence guy come have a look over on my old unit. I did 2 hot water empty cycles to have it clean itself. I'm not gonna doubt her again

Yep! SQ is horrible!!! The dryer is becoming a nightmare melting our clothes or not drying them depending on what my dryer decides. Everyone should check the inside of the dryer drum and look at the vent. Mine gets VERY hot and grabs and snags any piece of clothing that tumbles around in the dryer.
Kimberly U: You're right! I have a 2018 TR5 and it took me quite some time to figure out how to make this machine clean. If you have a DR5 (matching dryer to TR5) you dont have to buy the DC5 (TC5 matching dryer) because they are the same but one has a black control panel. The TC5 is truly an awesome machine. It Truly has never failed to get even the toughest stains clean, and as powerful as it is, if you switch it over to delicate, you get a nice gentle wash that is suitable for delicate items, and when I'm not dirty I use that.
you should have gotten the tc5! that's the one you're looking for! the tc5 beats the hell out of your clothes, that model you have is for women that wear LULU LEMON CLOTHING! YOU HAVE TO DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE SPENDING THAT TYPE OF MONEY
I have the same washing machine! It fucking sucks. Always gets unbalanced even when I properly place my clothes in. When it gets unbalanced it says error and there’s nothing you can do but unplug the machine, plug it back in and put it to spin, for a quick 10 minute sucky wash.
@@TheGOF good, glad you feel their top of the line machine that doesn't clean clothes is my fault. I won't make the speed queen mistake ever again. Putting a fake agitator in the machine was a genius touch. Not.
February, 29 2024 "DOE Finalizes Efficiency Standards for Residential Clothes Washers and Clothes Dryers to Save Americans Billions on Household Energy and Water Bills." Guess what? Less water = Less cleaning power.
They finally replaced it with a T3 model with an agitator after I made this video and kept sending their customer service gal emails of how many people every day saw this video. Squeaky wheel for them. The T3 seems to clean fine, but if I ever have to buy again, it will not be a Speed Queen.
Why would you go with this model over the TC5? The TC5 is the only model that actually cleans clothes like they should be? People have been complaining about the TR series since their release in 2018.
Like most of us Matt he probably did not know. There are people who don't get caught up in washers like we do. Whoever sold this to this man lied about it's performance .
@@patcola7335 I agree; Pat, however, I do feel a portion of that falls on the consumer. Every major appliance I purchased I thoroughly researched it and read up on the reviews. I do feel bad for this guy though. Perhaps he can try to sell it.
@@MatthewJames-st5wv This is true. I think most people who've been around for a little while though expect to just get a washer and it's going to perform like their old one. A lot of changes have been made in the last 20 years. You have to remember up until 2010 heavy duty washers were still being made.
I was about to buy one because the freaking sales person talked this machine up. I can't wait to tell the sales person to pound sand. After viewing this I spent some time reviewing more and many many complaints.
Mathew James: If I only knew about my 2018 SPEED QUEEN TR5 beforehand before buying it I think I would have tried to get my 1992 MAYTAG overhauled. Leaking tub seal, transmission badly leaked oil all over the floor and one day water all over the floor. It would've needed a new transmission and tub bearings. That Maytag lasted me 26 years. It probably would have cost as much to fix as I paid for the 2018 SPEED QUEEN TR5. I paid around $ 1,032 dollars for that machine.
Oh, I'm not a "farmer", I'm a retired, old guy, with 26 acres of land. I grow some veggies. I plant food plots for deer, I have a pond and I occasionally fish in it. I've been here 25 years and my clothes have always come out clean, my whites were, for the most part, always white. Until this machine was purchased. Then they were white no more. I tried every setting, I made custom settings. Whites just weren't white anymore. Again, if your machine gets your clothes clean, that's great, I think that's what washing machines should do. I applaud your clean clothes. FWIW, I will never buy another Speed Queen anything. I bought one because they were "supposed" to be the best. For me, they are not, not even the new one they replaced it with. They are expensive and they are rude and arrogant and I won't every do business with them again. I made this video, which is 100% truthful, and I emailed them with the view numbers every day until they replaced my machine because half of them denied there was a problem and the other half explained the machines intent which was more for professionals who don't get their clothes dirty. Well, I have many cars, trucks, mowers, a tractor, trailers, a lift and I, on occasion, get dirty. Never had a problem getting my clothes clean before I bought this washer. For me, there is no question, and I don't need anymore proof or to watch other people videos saying it works. Why would anybody make such a video....? Maybe more denial, misdirection and misinformation from Adam Shiff?
I was kinda believing everything u were saying until the Adam Schiff comment. ! Now I know u worship the well documented liar and your opinion is now disqualified….. God Bless
Only way I got them to replace it was with this video. Everyday I sent their Customer Service gal an email telling her how many more hits I got on the video until they caved. They did replace it with a T3, which is better, but my last Speed Queen for sure. Honestly, it's the second worst washer I've ever had, but it it better than that TR.
It's only gonna get worse until Jesus Christ returns! Until then, we must be on high alert! They will force Speed Queen Laundry to make HE top loaders!
You shoulda got the tc5 I got the Maytag commercial it’s alright it’s just noisy sounds like it’s gonna break . Now I feel like I shoulda went for the ge commercial or the tc5. The ge is bigger 4.2
You've got that switched around; theTR7 is for people who don't mind paying for advertised hype, because all they're really getting is dirty laundry. Let me make it simple; in the past when people washed close in a river or bucket, did they use some sort of agitation to get them clean, orthey just set them in the river and let the water flow by, or put them in the bucket then turn the bucket? Sounds ridiculous doesn't it, but that's all the TR7 does.
OMG! Why did I not think of that! Buy one, experience the lie for yourself. Like I said, they replaced the machine with a new model with a real agitator. No cost to me. But, only after I put up this video and sent them the viewing numbers every day for about 3 weeks. Then they caved. Every word in my video is the absolute truth. I have never received a dime from anybody for anything, I don't do reviews of anything, except this once when I was screwed over by what once was a reputable company. I'll live this machines out, then never own another Speed Queen.
The TR7 is an absolute piece of crap. It does not clean clothes worth a damn. I spent all this money on a washer that is never going to tear up but it does not clean your clothes. It does not remove smells from clothes either. The salesman I bought mine from told me to try and sell it on Facebook marketplace, but I don't use Facebook. I am totally disappointed. If you need a good washing machine make sure you get one that has the spiral agitator on it. The ones with no agitator at all or the ones with this model agitator are a waste of money if you like clean clothes. Tim was right about everything he said in his review.
I have read so many reviews that say the SQ top loaders do NOT clean well. In fact, Consumer Reports said it cleaned so poorly that they contacted Speed Queen to see if they were doing something wrong. However, they also say the front loaders clean extremely well as do consumer reviews. In conclusion, if someone wants a Speed Queen, only the front loaders are worth getting if you want it to truly clean.
You should've bought the classic clean over the smart wash. Maybe do your research before you pay that much money. As did I, when it in the field in the USMC I bought a classic clean tc5 and it got everything out. Not speed queens problem, also you are probably over loading it.
You need to call out a technician. Watch the video from “Guaranteed Appliances” and you’ll see how the agitating is supposed to work. Your machine is defective. My daughter’s husband is an auto mechanic and she has a daughter and very active son. She says she’s never had a machine that cleaned as good as her SpeedQueen TR7.
That's great for her, but I honestly don't see how it could clean as well as a machine with an agitator. You can see the clothes being moved through the water, with the TR7 the water and clothes move very slowly with the tub. It was explained to me by their Customer Service that the TR7 was not intended to be used for people who get their clothes dirty, it was intended for "Professionals" who are wearing clothes of finer and more delicate fabrics. Not a hunter, fisherman, farmer, gardener, outdoorsman, or their kids.
@@timtullio1210 on her comparison video of the TC5 with the TR5 (which I believe is the same as the TR7 mechanics wise), the agitator does move. If yours wasn't moving, it may have been defective.
It appears you got the upgraded TR7.
+Arthur- Exaaaaaaaaaaaaaaactly...
Ummmm use it correctly sir, it indeed does work without tearing up your clothes. 😅
How does Speed Queen Classic destroy your clothes? I use heavy duty and I want my laundry to turn over.
I have the same exact model and it cleans my laundry very well.
Ditto
I am so glad you shared this! The other videos make it look like the agitator is moving. Thanks again!!!
Thank you for this post!
How is the TC3? My TR7 is complete junk.
@@roberttophan9314 I have the TR 7 not the TC 5 I’m sure not it’s the old wash system that’s between his head for years very reliable
Does the TC5 model clean well?
@@Cleaning_Hero yes very
"Even Speed Queen acknowledges the machine was designed for "professionals who don't get their clothes dirty" not for people with kids, or whom get dirty. ".
I've reviewed the Speed Queen website on this product and find no such statement. Instead, I quote from the old style TC5 description:
"...But if your fabric care needs lean toward the basic, this 30-year-old classic wash action produces faster cycles (roughly 30 minutes), while delivering clean results equal to Speed Queen Perfect Wash."
So when they refer to "Speed Queen Perfect Wash" they are referring to the new TR7, TR5 and TR3 washers and further state the older style TC5 series is for those whose "needs lean toward the basic".
If you want gentle buy a front loader,at least they clean clothes.
@@Brownie-tg3nu This is just like a front loader only in a top loader. People must really have filthy clothes.

Good for you!
I did my research before I bought mine you have to buy the Speed Queen classic it has a very aggressive wash and will get your clothes clean.
it is belt drive , not gear drive and the agitator does slow aggressive on bottom turnover, and it is a us built commercial grade washer that is front serviceable and built to last up to 25 years, it is the best washer you can buy and if you think these are bad , just wait until you try a high efficiency washer , if you read up , if you work on a farm then you need a very aggressive gear driven agitator on the TC5 speed queen , unbeatable
Thank you... I was getting ready to purchase it... you saved me brother ❤

Alex Moreno; Me too!!! I'm going through the same thing!
If you're a service technician then you should've known to get the TC5 with the old school agitator. My TC5 cleans like a mother f**ker!💯
I don't see any slowing down!
The TC5 has the knobs, but there are electronic circuit boards behind the panel.
Can you unscrew the lid lock?
Getting a TR7 this Tuesday I’m scared we have construction worker clothes here and animal so I’ll see how clean they get
Mine gets delivered this Weds. I'm looking forward to it.😁

I run an auto detailing company and the two TR7's we bought for the shop work fantastic - we needed commercial grade high use washers that are also quiet due to where they needed to be installed. They were quite pricy but the TR5's are unavailable due to supply chain issues.

I love my brand new TR7 !!
Tr3,Tr5 & Tr7 have less moving parts to fail...love our Tr5
In earnest, very helpful review, the clothes floats around having fun…😅😊
I have the same exact model and I like it.
Use heavy duty.
I have a speed, queen TC 5 with agitator cleans perfectly
Buy a Samsung. After using it for a few months, you’ll be raving over the Speed Queen.
Samsung is junk. Lowest reliability, warranty claims, and highest failure rate.
I would rather get an lg
@@xiakookle junk - just a bit less junky than the Samsung.
They can be ok ish if you get the higher end front loaders. Other than that they are trash. My front loader has done about 9000 cycles according the the computer which is pretty good. Dryer has been trouble free. I did have to replace some inexpensive parts on the washer sooner than I should have.
Just wash your clothes in the bathtub before buying anything made by Samsung.
Their son services most brands.. he said to avoid the 3 and 7 models.. and to make sure to get the TC5000... not the TR5.. the tc has the more reliable drive.. and that's the one he used
Yea. This model is the TR series. Agitator don’t move. You need the TC5 if you’re on a farm or get clothes clean. TC5 has a moving agitator. Sorry
Yep, found out after I was sold a washing machine that doesn't clean clothes. Maybe an initial heads up would have been nice.
@@Dr_ITguy337 it’s not available here in the United States, but the classic speed queen with the same features as the TR are available in other countries with small, medium, and large water level options all they would need to include is the auto fill.
I have this model in black and I have the front loader they both were great I wouldn’t buy anything else
Can you update us on how the speed queen Tc3 is doing?
No problems. Whites are white again, so assume it's doing it's job. I "think" it doesn't spin as much water out as I'm used to, but I have no complaints at this time.
I just got mine yesterday. I'm still undecided if I like the set. 😏
...Btw, my Maytag and Samsung weren't good either.
Thank you for this review, I was about to buy one.
The TR5 has a agitator that moves independently it's not as quiet but will clean your clothes
The sales person at the store should have explained the washer system.
My dad has used pinesol in laundry since 2004.
I’m in construction and have 2 dirty kids. The decision was a TC5 and have never regretted it.
Thank you kind SIR for this informative video!!!
Thanks for making this video. I will buy the TC 5003.
An improvement would be three vertical ridges or ribs in the sides of the drum, solidly made in the the same piece of metal as the rest of the drum. It would improve movement in the water when needed. The different cycles need different types of agitation whatever makes it, the drum itself or a center agitator.
I have a Maytag Centennial that gets the clothes spotless but if it ever dies I will buy a Speed Queen TC5 .

The wash action on the TR7 is similar to a GE HydroWave with a bad mode shifter
Thank you so much for your review, I was thinking about buying this machine, but it turns out it’s just like all the other ones on the market, which are crap
More like stupid crap!
Use the soak option. It will soak your clothes before washing.
I have mines has the knob on it cleans my laundry so nice sheets and everything comes out clean my white clothes are whith with dollar tree detergent.😮
The saying you get what you pay for certainly isn't true when spending $1,000 plus for this washer. There are machines costing hundreds of dollars less that give fantastic cleaning. AMANA, ROPER, INGLIS,and ESTATE all made by WHIRLPOOL. When properly cared for they should give a good many years of service.

If you have heavy dirty clothes you should have bought the tc5 with the original type of agitation. Should have done your homework.
Why would you go with this model over the TC5? The TC5 is the only model that actually cleans clothes like they should be? People have been complaining about the TR series since their release in 2018.

You've got that switched around; theTR7 is for people who don't mind paying for advertised hype, because all they're really getting is dirty laundry. Let me make it simple; in the past when people washed close in a river or bucket, did they use some sort of agitation to get them clean, orthey just set them in the river and let the water flow by, or put them in the bucket then turn the bucket? Sounds ridiculous doesn't it, but that's all the TR7 does.

Mines clean good.
I have read so many reviews that say the SQ top loaders do NOT clean well. In fact, Consumer Reports said it cleaned so poorly that they contacted Speed Queen to see if they were doing something wrong. However, they also say the front loaders clean extremely well as do consumer reviews.
