Hey hun love to see you working in my old stomping ground are look like you are doing great and your clients are so lucky to have you as their QMHP. Pro Tip: You can download an app called dragon and speak your notes into the app while you drive home so all you need to do is copy and paste what your spoke into the note and maybe proof read and make a few corrects. But this app is made for medical professionals so many of the verbiage we use it will recognize and spell it correctly. It was such a time saver for me when I worked in the community
I am currently in a B.S.W program ( junior), very excited about learning, doing an internship, graduating from said program, Spring 2023, and getting to work; providing care/ service/ support to others. Yep! Appreciate your knowledge, wisdom and understanding! ✌🙂
Yesss I love to hear about people coming into the field continue to push through on your journey I know you will love it! I appreciate you watching! ❤️
I’m about to graduate with my BSW & in the fall I’ll start my MSW process🎉 I’m binging different social work videos because I have no idea what I’m doing with my life😂 Thanks for sharing!
Awww yessss I’m so excited for you congratulations ❤️! At least you got some what of a idea especially if you going to graduate school! The field is diverse I’m sure you will find what you are passionate about don’t be to hard on yourself lol. And thank you so much for watching!!
I've been looking for a video like this for SO LONGGG!! I'm about to get into the social work field and I was looking for a video that would take me more in depth into what it's like to be a social worker. Thanks for such a great video!
Awww I’m so glad that I could provide you with that ❤️ and congratulations I hope your journey is enjoyable dont be to hard yourself it’s beauty in this field!
As a recent social work graduate it is really good to see a social worker in action💪🏾💪🏾 it was so kind of you to bring your client the coffee ✨✨... I would love to see you go in-depth with the paper work🙌🏾 I definitely learnt a lot...
Yass congratulations boo how you been enjoying it so far? And yes I try to do small things it really makes a huge difference for your client 😁! I will definitely get that video out I appreciate the suggestion and thank you so much for stopping by! ❤️❤️
Thank you☺️ well, I haven’t started to enjoy it as yet because I haven’t found a job. I’ve definitely lost some of the interest because I’m not practicing however watching your videos have really reminded me how awesome it is to apart of this profession 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
@@iamalexia3127 awww okay well stay optimistic it will happen for you the field is so diverse so it’s something out here for you but I’m glad I could help motivate you don’t lose hope 😘!
This was refreshing to watch! I subscribed to your channel. I"m currently at my local community college as a sophomore preparing for my bachelor's in social work.
Awww thank you so much love ❤️ that’s awesome I’m sure you will enjoy the journey a lot of people I feel like talk about the bad in the field but there’s also a lot of good!
You made me giggle. I love your cheerful attitude. I currently am working on my MSW right now and it’s nice to see what I could possibly be doing in the field, thank you :)
I'm about to graduate with my BSW and have no idea what kind of social work I wanna do so this video was perfect!! I love your energy and passion, so excited to have found this video so I can keep watching another young social worker✨
Awww yes congratulations girl I love to see another social worker in the field! Thank you so much for watching and I appreciate those kind words 😘! Trust me you will find your way their is so many different things you can do such as mental health, school social work, working in hospitals, and jails the list goes on honestly lol.
I loved this video!! Thank you so much! It was so helpful :) can you please do one on tips for MSW interns! I'm starting my placement next semester at a Mental Health clinic and I'm excited but nervous at the same time
Of course thank you so much for watching 😄! I actually don’t have my masters yet so I wouldn’t be able to assist with that at this time but I did do a placement for my undergrad so I am aware of some of the things that happen at a internship but I’m not sure if it’s more intense with your MSW.
New subbie! Love videos like this! I just started my MSW journey. I’m still trying to figure out what I want to do. Think I’m leaning towards school social work . Looking forward to more of your videos!
Thank you so much for subbing ❤️❤️!!! I actually thought about going that route myself If I don’t end up doing outpatient therapy once I get my lcsw. You definitely got a lot of options with social work so I’m sure it will all work out the way it’s suppose to but yes they are coming I have a whole playlist of social work videos as well and I’m dropping one tomorrow at 5pm so be sure to have your post notifications on so you don’t miss when I upload! 🙏🏽
I would love you to do a video on creating an Individualized Plan for clients. I believe it’s essential as well as the progress notes. Also, you mentioned a toolkit, which one do you use ? I am new Mental Health Social Worker and I would like to stake up on my resources before starting the job. Thanks ☺️
Okay thank you so much for the feedback I’m still in the works of getting that video filmed! Also a toolbox is just kind of like the resources you use with your clients as interventions such as paper, coloring books, handouts you can give them pertaining to their diagnoses and much more.
I love the video. I would have liked to see live time stamps...like at the last client you said it was 5p but I thought it's probably 1p since she just got lunch. Im about to start a position as a Mental Health Case Manager in a couple of weeks. But Im also in grad school for MS Clinical Mental Health Counseling. The fact that you had to do your notes at home is concerning for me. Im hoping this new job will give me a better work life balance. I was hoping to be able to leave work at work. Do you get paid for the time you're doing notes at home? Any suggestions for time management so I dont take work home?
Thank you so much love! Sorry I didn’t think about the time stamp thing I will try and start incorporating that moving forward but unfortunately my company does not pay for notes outside of the job some companies do though. To me it is one of the huge downsides of this job because it’s hard to do your notes while you are in the field especially when you are driving and having sessions all day with clients. So I don’t think there is a way to avoid doing them until you get home unless you jot down stuff while you are in your sessions on a notepad or your phone but even then you still gotta type it up on your computer. I try to do that sometimes to help with shortening the time or I will say the notes out loud on my phone and it will write it down for me. I’m hoping this helped with clarifying some things for you!
I am new to your channel so if you don't mind me asking, do you have your BSW or MSW? I am currently getting my BSW and want to know what options I have at a Bachelors's level. Thanks so much!
Hey boo thanks for subscribing ❤️. I have my BSW and I have a whole lot of videos on my career advice playlist . I just did one called “what is social work” where I have a few options on jobs you can obtain .
Hi I loved your video. It was very informative. I am about to start my MSW and wasn't sure what area of Social Work would fit me best. Oh by the way, I thought that Mental Health Social Work was the same thing as a therapist. But from what I have seen you do, it seems like you do alot of assessment and making referrals. Do you also do any group or individual therapy maybe not as in-depth as a therapist but close to it?? Or is your area of expertise completely different from what a therapist would do?
Hey, thank you so much for watching! I apologize that I’m just now responding but they are similar but not exactly the same as a therapist you are kind of going into depth and helping a client process past and current issues or tramu. As a social worker you are there to help access what is currently going wrong and assisting that client to other resources that can further help them. The whole point is for the client to be able to do things on their own without you being there. I know I don’t do any group assessments but I do have some co workers that do that it may have something to do with the fact I don’t have my masters yet cause technically they say we can’t do assessments unless we are getting our masters or have obtained a masters degree. I hope I answered your question I will try and do a Q & A of some of the frequent questions I get asked so be on the lookout if you are subscribed!

Hi !!! How long do you meet with each client like the minimum requirement?
Hello the minimum you can bill for a client is a hour and the maximum is 3 hours .
