    I currently have a sales/customer service background, so I'm already use to the day to day monotony. I have chosen Tech Sales role simply because I would have a higher pay rate for things I was already doing in my work field, but now within the Tech Industry. Course Careers is a game changer because I was easily able to switch into the industry without having to do so many hours of training or come out the pocket for hundred of dollars on certification exams. The goal is to break into the field and transition to other non tech roles with lesser monotony, and Course Careers provided the quicker alternative to help with that.

    I appreciate this video on being real I feel to be honest is that a lot of tech companies aren’t hiring anymore yea it thousands upon thousands of jobs posted but getting that job seems slim to none(especially with the amount of interviews you have to go through)now seem like tech companies are low balling now on wages use to be 90-100k+ a year now it seem like it dropped to 30-40k a year you don’t see those people anymore that was once hyping it up talking good about it them unexpected lay offs are real too people for anyone looking to get in tech sales be mindful of that

    • @dianaroselive
      @dianaroselive  Год назад +3

      True, I have been hearing from some folks that the hiring has slowed down even though the job post are still up, which is terrible.
      It’s one of the reasons I’ll be broadening the information I give about tech and getting good employment opportunities
      overall to help folks with more options if this isn’t what they want to do.
      I never wanna send folks into a lions den.
      With that being said I still believe in tech sales wholeheartedly and the road to success it can provide. But it’s proving to become a lot harder to find those super good opportunities like before.
      Definitely gotta grind harder now.

    Thank you for being transparent. I've been in tech sales almost 5 years now (SDR -> Professional Services -> Sales Engineer). And for whatever reason, this new wave of tech influencers refuse to acknowledge how DIFFICULT it is to break in, stay in, and move up in tech.
    The SDR role is one of the hardest positions in tech, and one of the lowest paying...but it has the highest upside (Career wise). Yes, some people can make 6 figures as an SDR, but not a high percentage make it that level. Use the role as a spring board to your next role/company whatever it is.

      That’s sales!? All sales.. you create your own paycheck. Good day, come home, look in the mirror. Bad day, come home, look in the mirror. It’s all on you. Best advice for people interested in a career in sales is to do a thorough amount of research on the company, its culture, products/services, leadership, and vision before even applying. If it aligns with who you are and you actually believe in the business you will come in feeling like a partner pushing a brand you align with. This type of mentality will directly reflect on your paycheck.

Working and strategizing to reach the many goals and expectations set out for you. • @dianaroselive
      @dianaroselive  Год назад +4

      Yes cold calling was extremely hard for me! I have anxiety, and I’m a people pleasure (working on that lol), so calling folks that aren’t expecting your call is especially nerve wrecking. The way I got over it (for the most part) is I kept doing it even when I was scared. The anxiety usually comes from judging yourself and wanting to do things perfectly, but remember you are a beginner and it’s fine to be bad lol once you get confident in what it is your talking about. You will become more relaxed and realize you’re just having a conversation, this is easier said than done but constant exposure without judgment is the way to go in my opinion!
