Thank you so much! My dolls are acctually based mostly on Fiona McDonald's designs which can be found in her book (I'll put a link above) I was simply showing how to do faces and hair on them. So glad you started making dolls! They are very addicting. Also, on Ravelry we have a group of girls (well women I should say) that all make dolls, and we like to share ideas, tips, and tricks, here. If you'd like to join I'll put a link above :D Welcome to doll making!
Hello, your dolls are amazing! I am new to making dolls but I wanted to know if you sold a pattern for your dolls or if you can make a video on how to make them! Thank you!
If you wet the hair and bake it and it curls that is cool. But my Q to you is if you have to wash it will the curl come out? How can you get curls to stay in the yarn hair for a long time?
I would imagine if you wash it the curl would probably fall out. Maybe not all theawy, but at least some of the way. Usually while I'm letting the hair dry, I spray it a bit with a hairspray/water blend, which helps keep the curl. I've had a few dolls for several years, and their curls are still holding. Got 2 Be Glued Freezing Spray is the hairspray I use.
I'm so sorry! RUclips did something funky with a few of my videos when I posted them. I am hoping to get some new videos out soon that are a little less... well like a roller coaster! Glad it was still helpful though :)
