Nice tie down job FSC. That load had little to none, room for error on how you tied it down to the deck. The only way it was going to hold it had to be done right , right out of the box. Nothing less from you Steve. Loved the camera angles and the music over the gorge. Your leading the pack FSC. Thanks for the great video and editing. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring.
My dad was a long hauler back in 70s - mid 80s. I remember TFC & one came to pur church. We had Sunday School class in it a few times. I also drove a truck in the early 90s & I attended services in one or 2 of them. I hope there's something that filled in for TFC
Thanks Steve for a great video and for all you do to bring real life trucking to us! Thanks for the ride in your beautiful truck! God bless for saving this historic trailer and the truck.
I have been a Truck Stop Chaplin for the past 20 years, I have about 3.5 million miles of safe driving, before I retired. I am glad you could save it. With ELD some drivers are having a hard time, taking off enough time for church.
I was just in that TA. Took me a few minutes to figure out what was different. At least the chapel (truck and trailer) went to someone that will do something with it (not just let it rust or go for scrap). Love the camera angles. Being a Washingtonian I alway enjoy the scenery over the pass, especially in the summer months. Keep on truckin ✌️
I'm not religious, but I do like what they did with the light top right of the door at the beginning. Great job on the tie-downs as always, and smart thinking on hooking up the old trailer's lights to your own. A great low cost alternative to the other options out there, and gives the old trailer a taste of being back on the road. Love your videos. Stay safe out there
Great job Steve, he'll of a tie down! The mountain scenery is awesome, Thanks again for sharing 👍🏻. Great new banners! 😀 magnetic 🧲, who would've thunk? Great video ! As always, Safe Travels.
One side of washington is so green and full and the other side is a desert. washington is a beatiful state just hard to live in! thanks for sharing the adventure!
Great video Steve really enjoy all the different camera angles and your commentary and the music. Nice securement of the chapel trailer on your trailer. Looking forward to your next video stay safe Steve.
Thank you for your continued dedication to preserve this part of the 1980's Trucking Industry. If my dad were still alive, I believe he would enjoy your FSC Trucking RUclips Channel just as much as I do.
I love the rolling camera view from the trailer. And I appreciate your hands on approach for each video.. ohhh, not to mention the love for the 362 C’mmmmmmon 😊
Steve thank you for letting us hear the sound of Orwell powerful cabover caterpillar motor.& not having music played too loudly over that cool sound.though manny are wild about j brake sound they don't mind hearing Or powerful motor.
HEY FSC ! I was stationed at Fort Lewis WA. in Feb. '78 to Sept. '80. I've been through Snoqualmie Pass many times in the summers to go back and forth to Yakama Firing Center which is pretty much in the middle of the state. It was great to go through it again! Coming home after my ETS I drove the route you took picking up the Ford 9000 and the trailer seeing the Columbia River was awesome to see again and yes it is a beautiful sight. I was hoping to see another beautiful part of the trip but I think it's night every time you cross it. It's in Idaho as soon as you cross the Washington state line if I remember right, and it had, (I believe), a French name, and it looked like paradise on earth. Pine trees, hills, crystal 🔵 lake's. If you remember the Columbia River you would definitely remember this place. LOVE THE VIDEO'S ! No matter where you go. 😉
As you are crossing into Idaho from Washington on I-90 the interstate crosses the Spokane river. I myself never really paid attention to the area because theres constantly vehicles going under the speed limit between the last exit of WA to the 5th mile in ID, its a bit of a PITA for trucks right there lol
One of our driver's spotted u hauling that. He finally got back today. And he was talking about that and i was like hey come here and i went to ur channel and i said was it this. And his eyes got big and said yeah that was the guy. And i told him what ur user is and he was watching the videos. He was there at the truck stop the day u was loading it up on ur trailer. i did'nt know he was sent all the way up there. And the dispatcher that had him sent all the way up there was explained only advance driver's are aloud long distance loads not beginner's. And the driver is an excellent driver.
That's a nice tie down job you did Steve & I hope that you got the permits for the trailer since it's overheight & overlength & also hope that you have a banner & flags on Orwells bumper also
Summer of 2018 I did a 34 break at that TA when I was running for Southern Refrigerated Transport on a Wal-Mart dedicated account for a couple months. Washington was the last state of the lower 48 I'd never been to or driven truck's in, I have to say that it's the most beautiful scenery in the whole nation! We where based out of Prosser down on I-82, the main distribution center was a few miles from a Love's where we usually did all our 34's & 10's but on that particular week I was held-up in a bad traffic back-up in the Seattle area and I didn't make it back before I ran out of hours. We where eating every hour of every day so a re-cap was very rare on that account. Of all my travel's I took more picture's out there, that's how gorgeous it is in Washington State, the Air Museum of Flight in Seattle is really cool to. Anyone who never been out to the north-west should try and make a trip once in there life-time!
listen to the sweet sound of that big cat purring ,sweet music to this old gearjammers ears love it only it could be better is a dirty dozen detroit v12 with straight pipes! love wat you post steve! jerry in south west newbrunswick canada! 44 years a flat bedder!
Nobody puts a video together like you do Steve, you set the benchmark for others. Over in the UK there is a weekly story of an aggregate company called Ashville Weekly that is up there as well. Brilliant!!!
Great camera angles, and great scenery view's, brilliant job allround Steve. Nice bit of planning on strip down and transport both tge Ford and the trailer. Thanks for sharing.
Ah the good ol spring ride to air ride conversion, watched the previous video where you set the trailer on the detach had the thought that I would make a electrical junction box and pull light power off the neck of you trailer to make the light work on the chapel trailer IF the nose box and chapel wiring was operational
Hey Señor Steve, MAJOR Kudos to your Haul being and the ride along and what You do Day in and Day out Does love your OTR content...I had tried to obtain my CDL and wanted to be in to Specialized Hauling and or well not Swift***even though they need Drivers just as much... Anyways Really like your detailed haul here...of how you decided to chain down your load, the wiring and flagging, blocking and or cribbage... ✨️GOD Speed and Safe Travels💞
Brutal load. Took to looking figuring out the route you're taking from street signs. Reckon I follow you sometimes for the scenery. Other times for the hellish tie down jobs like this one.
Thought for sure I spotted your truck here at the petro in Rochelle Illinois. Saw the mobile chapel and blue cabover. But person said it doesn't move and it's not Orwell.
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 I haven’t seen the loading episode yet. You did quite a good job getting it level & well secured! You can never tie it down too much in my opinion. Your load will always settle, shift, settle or whatever you want call it. I’m glad you pointed that out when you stopped at the rest area. Not all the people who watch your channel are truck enthusiasts or know much about hauling. I was shocked that you didn’t have a LIGHT BAR or something like that. Hey, you got the job done. I like the new safety signs. The view going over the bridge & up the pass was quite a beautiful view. Very good stuff, man! I imagine that it pulled quite different than what you expected as well. Not a normal load, but it was all yours! 💥🥰✌️
Love the tie down description Steve. We always referred to it as German Tiedown - Gootentight. Love that turn as you come across the Columbia River. Ever stop into George, Washington while you're out that way?
It took a lot of work to move the truck and trailer along with renting equipment to do the job to get it done. Even though you rented the JLG and hauled there I would imagine you paid for a drop and the rental company will come by to pick it up since you were not bringing it back to the rental place. Once back to your home plate you can relax a little bit before unloading the trailer and sling the tandems back under the trailer before some sort of rebuild
I was grandfathered into the new regulations and grew up in the era when truckstops were cool and respected you can talk to other drivers and hear there stories now everything and everyone is all there own
You did a hell of a good job tying that stuff down.
Nice tie down job FSC. That load had little to none, room for error on how you tied it down to the deck. The only way it was going to hold it had to be done right , right out of the box. The scenery you showed us in this video was breathtaking indeed😊 ty for letting us see it.😊
Love seeing and hearing Orwell. I miss cabovers. GREAT job, Steve, loading and moving the treasured trailer!! You are a true professional!
Another nice video for a non-truck driver like me to check out. you really have a good artistic feel for those camera positions
Hats off to you - you're one gutsy guy. Glad you made it home Ok.
I can remember seeing that “Mobile Chapel ” when I was laid over in Colorado in June of 1989. Still looks pretty much the same.
This trailer was in North Bend, Washington at the T/A I-90 exit 34
Man I sure do love me some FSC Truckin videos.....Steve & Orwell,...both my favorites
My late husband and I went to a mobile chapel when we drove a truck. I’m so thankful that so much care was taken with this. Thank you!

Like the traveling music. Not sure why that watching the scenery is so mesmerizing. Thanks for the video
That is definitely a beautiful ride with great scenery.
...Except for those ugly wind farms!
@@thomasdragosr.841 well true no argument from me there.

I remember Many trips over that pass, and you Never fail to impress. Sure is great to see someone still running a CO
Tie-down chains rubbing each other is a violation . You really did encore a lot of work on this project , WELL DONE !
Good job Steve have a safe trip back home.
Great job Steve

I really like that camera on the very back of your trailer looking backwards. Now that's a different view! Oooo... camera switcheroo... NICE!! 🤘
Steve a true truck surgeon clear description of what you did a true class gentlemen stay safe
If you are going to do it, do it right the first time. The music was timed to perfection, beautiful scenery.

I used to drive a cabover Freightliner for CF freight
Must be a great feeling getting that thing out of there! I was just there in North Bend a couple days ago and checked out the former grave.
