I'm currently a nursing student and I want to be a L&D nurse. Your comments about being appreciated as a nurse made me tear up. I can't wait to experience that! Thank you for sharing your experiences!

Glad I can relate to someone in this year :) Hope everything's working out!
I really wanna be a nurse, especially a labor and delivery nurse. I loved the whole idea of bringing a child into this world since i could remember maybe 2009. I have watched like 4 babies come into this world, the first baby was my best friend. OMG i was soo excited like omg look at those fingers lol. The whole pregnancy journey is amazing, knowing how babies are made and their fight to come into this world. I believe the best part is hearing that beautiful cry, the bond the baby n mom have together. Im a lil nervous to go for nursing only bc im getting older but i really do want to face my fears n try it. This video is very helpful and informative. My only issue is finding the right school.
This video was awesome! I LOVED my labor & delivery nurse. I really do feel like she helped me through the whole process. Weird thing was one of the neonatal nurses later actually asked me if that nurse was my sister 😂 apparently we looked a like. Lmao i love nurses. I feel like they help make the world go round lol
i'm so happy to hear that :) thanks for sharing
Same just had my baby 3 months ago and I absolutely loved my l&d nurse she was awesome! She even let me squeeze her hand while I went through contractions and when getting my epidural.
I just graduated with my RN last month and start my dream job as an l&d nurse in February! 😍 any advice you have for a new grad l&d nurse would be amazing! ❤️
Olivia Downs aww girl congrats! I interview for mother baby next month... I’ll be graduating in May!
Any advice for the interview?
I’m a freshman in high school and when i’m older I aspire to become a RN in L&D or pediatric. I need ideas on good colleges, etc. Congrats to you❤️!
congrats! check out my video on tips for new nurses. also, stay tune for more videos on this topic
NurseAggz what’s the difference between mother/baby and labor and delivery??
T kay mother/baby is the same as postpartum. So where you go after you’ve had the baby.
Yes girl! Singing happy birthday to these babies everyday is definitely one of my favorite things about my job. I’m still on the post partum/newborn nursery side for now and will cross train into l&d soon. Another favorite part of my job is feeding new moms after you guys starve them during labor 😂 jk but seriously! They are more excited about food than the babies some times! 😂
Samantha Olcott LOL I never appreciated how famished they must be by the time they move to postpartum.
I want to be a labor and delivery nurse so bad and I have for a while now. While I'm still only in 8th grade, I'm so excited and I want to go volunteer at the hospital and hold babies when I'm old enough!
Can you make a video going into more detail about FNP and midwife school. Very interested. Thank you for sharing!!
Avery Lynn sure! Thanks for watching ☺️

Thank you so much for sharing I’m currently in my first semester of nursing school and my aim is to continue preparing to follow the same path 👩🏽⚕️👍🏽 God bless💜
Arianna Bryson you’re welcome ☺️ and congrats on nursing school
I’m a freshman in high school and when i’m older I aspire to become a RN in L&D or pediatric. I need ideas on good colleges, etc. Can you make a video on what college you went to and steps to become into this field of work? xoxo 💋
Some colleges that have really good nursing programs are Villanova and the University of North Carolina!
I'm currently in business school. As much as I like it, I think im meant to be a labor and delivery nurse. I'm 24 years old and had my first baby 3 months ago and it changed everything. Is it too late to change paths?
Lynette Brooks No! Your so young! Change it now before you get older! You only get one life make it good and do what you love! It’s never too late and your young and I’ve been a nurse for a year now and I love it and all the benefits you get. Good luck
Lynette Brooks girl, if you don’t go after your dreams!! I would try to find an opportunity to attend another delivery besides your own and observe the l&d nurse role to see if you’d really like it. Also, Congrats on your baby!!!
My Speciality is Nursing assistant I would Say I Love To Gave Good treatment To The Patient
Soo how long do you have to go to college to be a labor and delivery nurse?? I apologize if u already said this but I'm new but I really wanna be a labor nurse !!!
Have you spent any time at North Gate? Does that make any sense to you?
You're awesome!
thanks love!
Do you still work as a staff nurse while in FNP school?
Sunkissed RN yes part time
I’ll be graduating in May. I have an offer for a residency in postpartum and I had a great L&D residency Interview and I’ll be shadowing on Monday. I’m really hoping they make an offer on Monday because L&D is where my heart is! Loved my summer labor and delivery externship. I never dreaded going to work ever.
Update: got an offer and accepted it! I start in August :)
amazing! congrats!!
Do you let women hold ur hand when they get an epidural?
Areli Lopez yes or whoever is with will I.e father of the baby
NurseAggz that is sweet of you, when I was in labor my nurse straight up told no when I was afraid and about to get my epidural, I can’t exactly remember what she said but I think she said “patients squeeze the heck out of my hand and I don’t like that”
NurseAggz she said she’ll stand next to me instead I was so hurt lol
@@crystal182 oh no! i'm sorry that happened to you. did you have someone else in there to support you like your spouse or a family members?
