NHS SUICIDE ADVICE:

If you're worried that someone you know may be considering suicide, try to encourage them to talk about how they are feeling. Listening is the best way to help. Try to avoid offering solutions and try not to judge.
Why do some people take their own life?
There's no single reason why someone may try to take their own life, but certain things can increase the risk. A person may be more likely to have suicidal thoughts if they have a mental health condition, such as depression, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. Misusing alcohol or drugs and having poor job security can also make a person more vulnerable. It's not always possible to prevent suicidal thoughts, but keeping your mind healthy with regular exercise, healthy eating and maintaining friendships can help you cope better with stressful or upsetting situations.
Many people who self-harm don't want to kill themselves. Self-harming can be a kind of "survival strategy", providing a person with a way of coping with overwhelming emotions. However, self-harming is usually a sign that a person needs immediate help and support.

Just wanted to say once again how THANKFUL I am for all your love and support since starting this journey! I also wanted to point out, that although I am a crying mess when thinking about my past, in a weird way, I am able to forgive those hoes and be thankful for God, who has let me persevere. If I didn’t go through what I went though, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Not just being here at Cambridge, but alive, healthy, more sassy than ever and also on youtube, engaging with all of you LOVELY bad bitches, and thats 3,000 BAD BITCHESSS YASSSSSS! Education really helped me, I’m not too sure what it will do for you.. But I’m hoping it can open a number of doors, leading you to many possibilities, that when in school, we thought were never possible. Hi ibz, I'm harshali and I'm from India. Firstly, just want to hug you nice :) I'm so proud of you that you fought back and grew stronger and are this amazing sassy person with a wicked sense of humour! so so talented and intelligent. growing up, I faced similar if not so bad, situations, dysfunctional manipulative family and a rough patch between my parents' marriage. that was tough and I remember I was bullied in school during the same time, I had no friends and I was depressed, and so angry all the time. I can't tell you how many times I had sat on the balcony fence wondering if I should jump, counting reasons to live. but I'm glad I decided to live and overcame all of that, forgave my mum with whom I had the most troublesome relationship for a long time. and now everything is good, and the thing that saved me was education. I threw myself into studying after having tons of miserable failed relationships with countless boys, I think I was trying to find the love and attention I didn't get at home. so yes, I truly know how you feel or can at least try to, and I just want to say I'm so proud of you :-*

I have been through some tough times in my life as well, family drama and the bullshit from school and getting up at 6am and travelling to school for 2hrs back and forth and all of that nonsense in which I still have to go through. It's given me such a relief that somebody has been through something way worse than myself and they have gotten through it and they're still strong till this day and you know what...today I had such a bad breakdown, I thought yep that's it you are going to fail your A levels even though I'm only just half way through year 12 and just got my mock results back. I am just...no words to describe this. YOU are and AMAZING person with such an AMAZING SOUL!! Just keep on shining your light on us x

I know i am replying a year later, but i hope your academia,grades and education is going well. Just stay strong sis, like for example i was being bullied from yr7 till the middle of yr8 even though it was for more than a year, it was stressful, depressing, hard to cope with, and like i was hiding in the toilets, didn't want anyone to see that i have existed. But my one was so bad, like i didn't know who to talk to, express my feelings. Then something very good happened to me, i actually showed my real true personality to someone i met through secondary school. I trusted them so much, even with my life. My true friend(Sorry no names)stood up with me, she always stand by my self, she was my true friend i honestly could wish for. I feel so god damn lucky for her being my best friend. We always spoke about living together me and this best friend and my other best friend because them two were already best friends. Then, people i mean my cousin, really smart people in my secondary school started to discourage me in yr11 saying how i am going to fail and school student's said i'm incapable of doing and no point of applying to A-Levels.(ACCEPT MY MUM AND DAD WAS ONLY BELIEVING IN ME). Come GCSE's result day your gyal comes out with A,B for business, Grade 6 for Lit, 4,4,4,4. Then i showed to my cousin and all the people that i am capable of doing what i put my mind towards, as long as i want to achieve and grow and study. Currently, i'm doing A-levels(Bad bitch) English literature(Grade B) Business and Economics ain't great but i'm never going to give up(Grade d/c). Now my cousin is thinking again, that i cannot go to UNI, and i'm planning to go to Uni of York for Business and Management. He thinks i'm incapable but i'm going to do it, work hard, be in the library 85% and 15% socialising with my friends. Come on guys NEVER EVER GIVE UP, trust me EDUCATION IS POWER.

Ibz,Teachers really make an impact on Students.A few weeks ago I got my first passing grade in a maths test.When I got the results back,I burst into tears.I didn´t expect it .But my maths teacher believed in me,and that was more than I did.I finally knew that I could do it,that I can get out of germany,do igcses, do my Ib.I won´t disappoint my parents.the money,the work they had invested into my education was not going to be wasted.this teacher really changed my life.

I really fucking needed this. Attempted suicide twice last academic year. I felt so isolated and hopeless. Over summer I realised I stopped being a nerd about my subject. I had literally suppressed my emotions to feel less ostracised about being that person who enjoyed her degree but never got good grades. So this year, I'M BACK BITCHES.

This just makes me realise how many things I take for granted when many people aren't blessed with the privilege to have the same. You carry such an important legacy and message within you. By posting this video you are potentially saving lives and giving people a reason to believe in themselves. The fact that through education you want to help people and make them feel accepted to potentially change a discriminatory education system means the world. It shows how much you care about people and their true essence and accept them no matter their race, sexuality or defects. You value real people and that is essential. Hey Ibz i just wanted to say that i have had a bit of a struggle with depression and what not but the thing i want to get across is the happy times are the most dangerous times because when you feel happy, those dark places are so so scary. I hope you can find some comfort in the idea that this girl may have finally been happy, and died happy. I know this sounds a strange concept but you can be happy and still have those depressive and scary thoughts. When listening i just thought about that and how maybe you had really helped her to get to a happy place, and as shitty as it is that she's gone, she went happy. You are crazy amazing btws xxxxx

I would love it if you could make a video about mental health/ depression. I've dealt with depression and feeling suicidal and my dream has been to be a doctor since I was in school.
After I was discharged from a mental health unit in 2016, I applied for medical school and got a place. All I have to do it pass occupational health/ fitness to practice next week.
Sometimes it's mental health that can get in the way of doing well and school/ uni.
Would love it if you could make a video how to remove mental health as a barrier to doing well in education.
