    Save money on a new Ford Mondeo Vignale: www.carkeys.co...
    The Ford Mondeo isn’t exactly the type of car you would associate with words like luxury - but Ford hopes to change that with its Vignale range.
    Offering a unique, up-market appeal over the standard Mondeo model, the Mondeo Vignale has a plush interior, added chrome exterior highlights and a host of ownership perks.
    But with a luxury feel comes competition from the likes of the Mercedes C-Class, Audi A4 and Jaguar XE.
    Can the Mondeo Vignale hold its own?Constantly updated, Car Keys provides first-hand video reviews, as well as all of the latest car news.
    Our experienced journalists are passionate about the auto industry, and strive to provide you with all the information you could possibly need before you decide to purchase a new car.
    All reviews are available at www.carkeys.co..., but did you know that reviews are just one element of what we do? Our website can also help you find the right car, at a price you can be sure is fair by comparing it against prices paid by other consumers and our own market data. Absolutely loving fords styling of the last 2years. They've made a mondeo a head turner which to all of you who remember fords of the early 90's will surely be as amazed as I am.

    The 210ps diesel is utterly brilliant. Smooth, quiet, and powerful. On motorways the engine cannot be heard at all. Can't stop driving mine.

    I got one as a lease car a couple of weeks ago. Definitely nice looks, and very comfortable handling. I do not really understand the comments from people to say why they think the price would be quite high. The list of premium features added to the car is endless, so you get a lot of things to enjoy and have benefit from. When you drive around in your BMW 3 series people will not readily turn their heads to take a closer look at your car, but with this one, they do. It's just a little bit more special, even though it's just an "ordinary" Mondeo.

    Well! As a lifelong Ford loyal owner/driver,having started with a Mk 2 Escort,followed by Cortinas,Sierras and now on my 4th Mk 2 Mondeo Estate (2.5 Ghia X Auto,99 T, private plate more by accident than by design,and only just passed 100k), naturally I would,if I won the lottery,buy one without even thinking about it. I really do think in the past ten years Ford have upped their game,as a necessity. I like the distinctive flair that the Vignale offers,it reminds me of the additional luxuries that Ghia styling brought to the Mk 4 Cortina ("wooden" door caps a tachometer and in the Cortina80 a "hockey stick gear knob"....how times have changed!). I do like the front grille on the Mondeo,but where in previous generations Ford have applied a Family concept by using the same grille design across the whole range,on the smaller models like the Fiesta it doesn't work,that's my only criticism. The biggest thing that appeals to me with this Mondeo is the way they deal with reducing noise by counteracting the soundwaves,that's very impressive!

    I Have had 2 BMW's 320i Xdrive and 335d Xdrive, And someone said german car drivers would never look twice at this, guess what i am, It's a great looking car and build quality has come forward a longway, and with all the kit that comes with it and under £29,000 of which you would pay a 3 series BMW at Least £40k +, is well worth the change. It also depends on the individuals, wealth, style, taste and persona, and not worry what other car enthusiasts think, A car is either affordable or good looking and this Mondeo yes its still a Mondeo but with Class....

    Just bought a 2016 titanium x pack 1 down in spec from this and its amazing what a car it's quiet powerful 180 bhp more toys than a spoilt brat and only 11k with 40k on the clock. My car was 27k new and I got it for 11k a truly fantastic 2nd hand car bargain

    Quite good review! Nevertheless, the car itself is too "flooded" in chrom, as far as I am concerned! Titanium version is considerably much somber and decent yet again, from my point of view! Good car overall though! Congrats for your work, keep it up!

    This new sub brand will not be successful. It costs too much and the changes don't in any way go far enough to separate it from, say, an ST model or even the Ghia (if they still do that). In essence to anyone looking on all they're gonna see is just another Mondeo. Absolutely no one will give this car a second glance as ti swooshes buy. And for people who want to pay a premium they usually want people to notice. Unless they plan to make Vignale a completely separate luxury brand like Toyota did with Lexus it has absolutely no chance of succeeding and will simply hemorrhage money until Ford pulls the plug.

      It still comes in cheaper than a BMW. And some people just want to drive a nice car and not care about the actual badge. There is a reason why people buy ford in the first place and it is not just price either as there are cheaper on the market.
      I say it will be a success on the basis of the Ford's dealership network and the fact a lot of people will get to see these cars. A mid spec one of these would be as good as a premium Mercedes, Audi and BMW.
      Audi is not considered anymore premium than Ford.

      its becoming very difficult for oil/gas engine based cars to justify their high price when companies like Tesla are offering true innovation and something new/exciting. Once Apple and Google enter the car market most of these old car brands will go bankrupt or disappear. Look at what happened to Nokia, Blackberry and Microsoft in the phone market once Google and Apple made a better product.

    • @foraymotorgroup8721
      @foraymotorgroup8721 8 лет назад +3

      +hyylo I think it will be a slow transition. With regard to self-driving cars etc. I think it will be hit and miss. Personally I'd always love to drive my own car and regardless of the electric engines available, you can't beat the roar of a v8. Ford have been known for innovation since they were founded and I'm sure they'll be able to thrive in the market. Tesla make some amazing and beautiful vehicles but they're not everyone's cup of tea.

    • @hyylo
      @hyylo 8 лет назад +1

      Once a person drives an electric car its difficult to justify the high maintenance cost of gas/petrol engine cars. Its a known fact that Henry Ford realized that gas/petrol cars were more profitable due to maintenance compared to electric motors. Most of the young generation want gadgets that are cool and innovative like the Tesla. Tesla is only 10 years old and it has greater loyalty than most old car brands. If you look at the management and workforce at Tesla they are all computer programmers. If you look at the workforce at companies like Ford and Toyota they are all old. Companies like Google and Apple have the skill to create an innovative car that does not cause lots of pollution. Companies like Ford and Toyota still depend on gas/petrol engines to make a profit. Tesla is going to release the 'model 3' in the next 12 months and has a huge customer order list. How is a company like Ford and Toyota going to compete against the computer wizards at Google, Apple and Tesla. Look at what happened to Nokia and Blackberry.

    It's a beautiful car, however premium brand lovers who like the vanity (let's face it) will be hard pushed t leave the likes of bmw, Mercedes and Audi. However there is an untapped market of people who don't want to flash it-have a prestige feeling car who this will definitely appeal to. However what this car will do is push sales of the normal Mondeo brand. Why ??? Because they will go car shopping show interest to the Vignale look at the price tag, then realise they can spend £10000 less and get a beautiful Mondeo 2.0 tdci 180 billion titanium X. Very clever marketing. Dagenham dustbin days have gone forever !!!!

  • @petercatlin1172
    @petercatlin1172 8 лет назад +6

    It's still a Ford. If your going to spend 30k plus you want people to notice you did, rather than other Ford drivers laughing at you for spending 10k plus more on a Mondeo!! Just get a Merc!
