That was one of the absolute best reviews I have seen on almost anything. Honestly. You were clear, logical, structured, and brief. You gave your opinion and also provided handy ideas and tips. It was calm, articulate, and helpful. You're really good at this. On your advice I'll go pick up a couple of them. I hope you keep doing this and I wish you success.
Excellent review. I was going to buy a Roam but I'm kind of feeling a pair of Play 3's, especially given what you said about a single speaker shaking the bedroom walls.
Bizarrely, play 3’s go for about the same price second hand as play 1’s. There really is no comparison. The 3’s are way superior. And ………. Yes, they work with the S2 app despite being discontinued
Great review. Factual. To the point. I loved your observation: "SONOS users are a lot like Apple users. They like the[r new thing." So true! I was one the fence between a SONOS One pair and 2 Play:3s coupled to an Amazon Echo Dot. In other words : Lesser sound with poorer Alexa integration (SONOS One) vs Better sound and full range Alexa control (Play:3s plus Echo Dot) Your review confirmed it - the latter. Thanks.
I feel like Sonos is more like if Dyson and Apple had a speaker baby, I have an IKEA Sonos lamp gen 2 and two play 3s and I can airplay to them via the lamp
I have an arc only , thinking adding two play 3 for the rears. Good idea? Play 5s look good but hard to find gen 2s at a decent price and they look a fair bit bigger than the play 3.thanks in advance
Don't get the first gen play fives please. For connectivity's sake, you only want S2 supported speakers. Get play five gen 2, I've heard it's much better than the play 3s.
It won't sync up with the other speakers on S2 app. So you can't connect the old gen 1 play 5s to the play 3s onward. Please double check but I believe it's true.
@@sharonmathew1426 so basically, you have your Google branded speaker set up. You connect your music streaming service like Spotify. Then in the Google speaker settings, you can connect a music speaker so everytime you ask Google to play music is will send it to the Sonos speaker. Remember that Sonos can be setup as a smart device on the Google home app.
@@techloto So does that mean every time I ask Google to play a music on Spotify, it will directly play only on the Sonos speaker and not on the Nest mini? Ideally I would want it to play on the Sonos speaker and all the other Google nest speakers in my house. Is that possible? I really appreciate you taking the time to take me through this. I just bought one for $8 at a Goodwill. It works and I updated the ownership.
Pretty sweet.
Lucky you
Excellent review, just keep up the good work :)

Thank you for you video.
Whats the name of the outro-song? I like it a lot, but shazam doesn't help. :)
That's better..without Alex or Google..lol
Thanks man, excellent video! Super straightforward and clear, nothing missed.
Thank you

wattage.
I have the playbar can I add this and a sub for surround sound?
Yes yes and yes
Clearly and presented. You have a good manner. 10/10
Nice video mate
Thanks!
Thanks for the video. I just picked up a pair of Sonos Ones (Gen2) for $220 +tax in Excellent condition on eBay.

is this ready to play within sonos one 2nd gen?

Would love to hear your review of the Sonos five
Now I have to get a Sonos five
@@techloto I love it!

The IKEA ones are life savers. They make everything else airplay by association 🤣
I just picked up TWO play 3s for $10 in a local tip shop :D
Damn! Rich people like to give things up.
Really helpful vid. I was going to buy a whole new speaker until you said about the Google speaker trick. Thank you!
Glad it helped.

Did you end up doing this?
People are better off just getting a soundbar cause this product sucks
No way, the play 3s are superb
Omni 10 more bass
Can i connect together sonos play 3 more then five?
very good review, i was thinking of buying one
Exactly what I was looking for
🇬🇧
Will the Play 3 work in Gen 2?
Works with sonos s2
Did trueplay work?
I have about 10 sonos speakers and they all have true play it makes a big difference.
How does the sound compare to the Sonos play 5s? You can get an older gen play & for like 150. Wonder if that's worth it?

@@techloto thanks for the response. What are the connectivity issues with the first gen 5's? I don't really care about voice control.

@@techloto yes you are correct.
Could you please explain more on how I can link it with Google home? That’s the only thing keeping me from buying this.
Its done in the Google home app. You set it as the music speaker for a google nest or Google home speaker. Does that make sense?
@@techloto yes, that makes sense, but will the audio come out of the google nest speaker and the Sonos or will it only play from the Sonos?
