The reason why I think this opening was recommended was because it comes at a very emotional part of the story. The main character has suffered a great defeat and loss. He is trying to build himself back up and find his hope again. And this is all while we the audience are learning more of his backstory with his family.
While I can agree that it's a good reason to share, I think it was an awful decision to not just share a video that uses the full song. The reccomender clearly just wanted him to react to the visuals as well, but there's 2 mistakes with that:
1. 60fps interpolated always looks ugly as hell on animations not native to that timing, only people with absolutely zero animation principles believe it to be an "upgrade" (this isn't videogames, animation works on a case by case basis on what looks good and why)
2. Tony is a musical reactor. He's stated plenty of times before that he's here for the music first and foremost. So instead of getting more insight out of him on the opening music by having him analyse the full thing, you instead get him saying *less* about the music because you've chosen a shorter version and he sure as hell isn't going to be invested in what's going on at that point in time in the One Piece story.
It's also cause it's a bit different from most of OP openings, a lots of them are just spoiling some scene to hype the current arc while this one is only relying one emotion, nothing new in the visuals, showing how far we came.
The opening by itself tell a whole story, almost none of the others are doing it

What makes We Fight Together so good for me is not just the song but what in the show the song represents.

Basically the story context behind this opening is that this is the last opening before the time skip and thus the end of part 1. The heroes have suffered the worst defeats they have ever had and they have been forcibly separated to different parts of the world. Some even worse things have also happened but I won't spoil it. Anyway the heroes have almost given up but ultimately decide to continue their journey. But they realize if they continue as they are now they won't survive. So they start training agreeing to reunite in two years to resume their journey. So this opening represents a very emotional and important part of the story which is why it's a fan favorite.

One Piece is an anime about Pirates searching for a legendary treasure known as The One Piece. This opening coems during a very emotional arc of the show right before it undergoes a two yeat timeskip, hence the sort of montage sequence of visuals near the end. The boy in red with the Straw Hat is the protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy. Luffy is a goofball who loves meat and adventure, and values his crew and their bond above all else.
Man, this opening always makes me tear up

The song has a story going through it from beginning to end where the happy moments were shown, the tragedy occurs, we grieve and ponder, then we look back at the good times, relationships, what we've experienced so far, to what extent we struggled together, get strength from it, which helps us go through the grief and come out stronger, look forward the reunion with our relationships, finally making peace within ourselves, move on eith5a stronger determination as we are not slone and we fight together.
It paints a beautiful picture❤❤

This is the first op of One piece that I’m obssessed!!!!!! I memorized the whole verses and this was on repeat for 3 years in my highschool days!
This opening is so emotional, it made me cry lots of times, it is one of my favorites.
OP13 is what made me go into One Piece, and I absolutely do not regret going into the show. I absolutely love when anime make these melancholic//slowy songs where we reminisce and remember the journey the anime has gone through.
If you want a list of melancholic//slowy sounding anisongs, theres OP7 of Naruto Shippuden and OP5 of FMA:Brotherhood. It gives off a nostalgic feel to it.

I'm seeing two types of One Piece music fans. Those who prefer the more pop style, and those who prefer the big band style. Both like the multiple genres, but have different listening priorities.
I feel like the real question we all should be asking is, how has *Drum*RollTony not yet reacted to The *Drums* of liberation ? 😄 Its a very quick listen, but it would be fun i think
To sum up One Piece:
20 years prior, the Pirate King was sent to his execution upon the execution platform of his home town in Logue Town. Before he died, these are the words he said: "You want my treasure? You can have it! I left all I own in one place." That treasure came to be known as the One Piece, and his words sent countless people to the seas to pursue it to gain his title of the Pirate King, and in turn also inspiring the overall pursuit of dreams that became known as the Great Pirate Era.
In this world, about 80% of the pirates out at sea are the cutthroat evil types, but the remainder are the adventurers and dreamers that the pirate king, Gol D. Roger, had intended.(side note, in this world, the surname comes first. So, if he was in America, it'd be Roger D. Gol.)
Then, at the present day start of the anime, Monkey D. Luffy starts off on his journey, to become the Pirate King, as he promised his pirate philosophical mentor Red Haired Shanks back when he was a kid.

you wont regret watching this show. you'll enjoy it just as others who just started watching it recently. just don't think about how many episodes you have to go through and take your time watching one piece and not rush it.

One Piece is, without spoiling anything. basically about a young man, going to see to be a pirate, but HIS version of a Pirate is just someone who sails the sea, having fun, making friends, no "BAD" stuff. As he and his friends sail, they inevitable meet people who like doing that bad stuff, and they are usually doing it to Luffy's (the MC) friends. So Luffy has to inevitably beat the CRAP out of them and free his friends.
I hope someone request that he reacts to One Piece Opening 20 Hope. that is sung by the same singer Namie Amuro that is my favorite One Piece opening

When they take animation and convert it to 60 they are interpolating frames, but because it’s making these extra frames with info from the previous and next frame it causes things to feel like they’re constantly speeding up but also lasting longer because things are either being visible a frame earlier or a frame later than the original frame pacing. I personally can’t stand it but I get that it’s a common way to avoid RUclips content filters.
I was wondering how there was no visual copyright limitation on this. Super surprised
it really sucks because the only version of a lot of anime openings on youtube ends up being the 60fps one and i hate looking at it, i'd honestly prefer a big watermark over the whole video lol
@@demoniktusk758 same, the viewing experience is really jarring and uncomfortable and I honestly preferred the days of mirrored or watermarked uploads. Of course you know the publishers could also just upload them officially since it’s free promotion in the first place but some are still very conservative about putting out their content

One piece is my number 1 manga/anime for many years now and this will never change. And yeah one piece has a lot of good opening songs and other soundtracks. Glad that you reacting to even more One piece stuff.. One piece means a LOT to me so thank you! Oh and i can recommend for you the live action cause its just 8 episodes and its following very good the source material and it has just few changes but those are positive ones.

FINALLY A GOOD ONE PIECE OPENING THANK UUUU
it is a huge adventure. in their pursuit for the legendary treasure, one piece, each island they visit is full of it's own history and generally they go about taking down corrupt powers that are stablished in place. we don't yet know what the one piece is, we have foreshadows all over that the world needs to be changed, so it might be something that helps make it happen. it's a fantastic emotional story, it will make you cry, it will make you laugh, it will mark you forever. the manga is probably the most accessible way to consume it since the show, which has been going for 25 years now, has episodes artificially extending the run time. that way, they can keep pace with the source material by not surpassing it.
Tony, One Piece is a show that is worth watching. However, it is not something you should make yourself catch up to. It is a show that is best watched on your free time when you have nothing to do. Watch it whenever you feel like it, you'll finish eventually. It took me about 2 years to get caught up, but it is possible to finish within 2 months. I did the math with someone and it's around 380-390 hours of watching you gotta do, this is including skipping the intros, recaps, and outros. Each episode would be 18-21 minutes at that point. It is a ton I know, but I promise you and many other One Piece fans can promise you that this show is definitely worth your time, so please watch it, thank you man

Opening songs that hits you emotionally never gets old no matter how many times you listen to it. As a fan of the show, it feels great to look back on this gem of an opening
One Piece OPs are so good man.
Let's just say there has been innumerable people who have said exactly what you said at the start "1000 episodes, I don't got the time or the desire" then they give it a shot and they like it but don't understand the hype. Then episode 37 hits and that's when you realize One Piece has captured your heart.
I remember when I started and I thought "who has time for 300 episodes" that was 17 years ago and I still eagerly await new chapters.
With that said from the outside One Piece fans look insane. Part of that being that when you're this hooked to follow such a long story, maybe you have to be a little insane haha.

One Piece is super daunting, but it would be so hype to see you react to the live action
I would highly recommend the live action one piece if you're looking to watch it. Its great for fans and new viewers, as it captures the magic and condenses all of the first major chunk of the story down to 8 episodes(thus far) and they're all fantastically done.
Cause as biased as I am with it being my fave anime ever, I definitely understand being put off by the sheer length. Especially since even if you skip the fillers, the anime's pacing can really drag. Its why I usually recommend people read the manga and only watch the anime for major moments and fights, though as mentioned, the live action is fantastic for starting it as well so I'd recommend that first.
Finally One Piece!
You can wait for the One Piece remake that's coming... whenever, which will be a more compact version >v

It should be a much more compressed and potentially definitive version of the series and will be produced by Wit Studio (who worked on Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, Ancient Magus' Bride, Vinland Saga, and more...) and distributed by Netflix
