Fighting cancer for a year today. My bathroom sink is dirty. I will clean it and that will be a hard thing for me with my pain, but like you said a start❤️. Thank you for being you😘
Since I retired in May, I picked Friday to be the day to clean my floors, bathrooms, dusting and clean flat surfaces. With two dogs I vacuum daily to keep the hair under control, but Fridays are set aside to get the floors mopped. Took me about two hours with breaks and got the duvet cover and blankets washed today. Thanks for the motivation!😊
Cambria, mom of 9 here. Oldest is going to be 29 in August, youngest shares a birthday with the oldest and will turn 1 year on the same day. One thing I’ve learned over 30 years of parenting is to LET KIDS HELP. I am a self destructive perfectionist and I have had to battle with myself far to many years before learning it is not only ok, but necessary to let kids help. They are capable and they are willing when it’s allowed from a young age. I never force any chores. But I am pretty insistent on teaching them our home is OUR home. Not mine. We all live here and we all utilize the house. Therefore we all need to help maintain it so that we can all live comfortably. I am never after perfection, just want to see them contribute.
Thank you for this comment because I’m also that self destructive perfectionist and have been struggling to let my 3 boys help. But I’m getting better. This made me feel so much better ❤🫶🏽
@@livingwithcambriea 💕🫶🏽 yes and watching you and how you always say you have the boys and Freya clean daily and do simple chores they can handle at their age encourages me. We’re getting ready to move so I’m taking pointers from you in soooo many ways! I love it here!
Cambria I'm 59 back in the day my Mamma had a maid but...we all had to clean our rooms n had chores we could not go outside n play until our homework was done 😊you got slot on your plate and you wearing it well being pregnant n all Take a break for yourself hun❤
Ive been a watcher of your videos for probably over a year now, and since I got to the comment section early this time, I just wanted to let you know that I always look so forward to seeing when you upload a new video! I just love having your videos playing when I’m home, and also watching them when I’m sitting on the couch with my daughter! I’m a brand new mom of a newborn and your videos help keep me motivated and feel like I’m not as alone. Here to say keep doing what you’re doing! I wish you and your family all the best right now! ❤
I think having kids have house responsibilities is so important. It’s a basic like skill they need to be an adult. It should never be one person’s responsibility even if a sahm. Great job and great tips Cambriea!
I popped some of the scent beads in my diffuser thing the other day after watching your videos and I love that my house smells like fresh laundry now 😂
I Had My Son To Help Me When He Was Growing Up And Now He's Now Out On His On He Keeps His Home So Clean It's So Funny To See Him Doing The Cleaning In His On Home.
I love that your kids have chores and help out at home. It's so important for when they go away to college or when they move out. They are life skills. Feel sorry for the kids who are helpless on their own. Good motivation tips today. Everyone always says my house looks clean and perfect, but it's not. I do keep clutter at bay, eliminated drop zones, everything has a place, etc. Before going to bed, the sink is clear, and the downstairs is picked up. I may have cobwebs under my furniture, but tabletops always get a quick dust.
I have a plethora of diagnosed mental illnesses (bipolar, severe/moderate depression and severe anxiety, ocd) and I believe I have undiagnosed adhd. It is sooo hard for me to be ok with just 80%. Especially since I used to clean homes for a living. It’s so hard for me to tell myself it’s ok to clean the floors without dusting first (when I dusted a couple days before but wasn’t able to do floors or the floors need done desperately but I don’t have time to dust and vac-mop). Lynn white has a quote very similar to yours, “done is better than perfect”. I have it on a little letter board in my kitchen as a reminder. I love your videos! Thank you for the motivation!
You give such great advice for maintaining your home. The decluttering part is so spot on and makes perfect sense. It’s much more overwhelming to start cleaning a messy house when there’s a ton of stuff in it!
Cambria, when I tell you I saw this video at just the right time, I really mean it. I needed the encouragement. I'm having a breakdown trying to do it all and feeling like a failure of a mom because of the state of my house. My best friend knows this isn't me to live like this because she knew me for about 12 years before I ever met my husband and had kids. She offered to take a week off of work and help me. Between her help and your encouragement, I just might be able to get through this! Because I just can't live like this anymore.
I really needed to hear that message in the end about its ok to not have it all figured out and not having our sht together haha. Thank you so much! I feel less alone now for sure haha ❤ this is why this is my fave cleaning channel!!! Love you and your fam!
Cambriea. Thank you for posting this video!!! This particular one felt like it was meant for me... you touched on soo many good points ! I am not a mother yet but a stahw and I do stuff around my house pretty much daily but there are definately days where I still need some extra help to get things done . And I agree with you on what you said about thecmental health aspect of cleaning n keeping things clean, I'm finding personally that I'm not in a good mental state when my house feels too messy/cluttered and I HAVE to take care of it asap because it can make me feel very stressed/depressed and put me in a negative mood... I don't like that feeling! For me tackling clutter is super challenging because we barely have storage space in our home , as I live in a condo.... the motivation to get it done is there, but I definately need help to work on it and be able to find a place for everything, like I said storage in my home is lacking!!! Iuuughh... so how can I deal with the clutter when I don't have a lot of places to store things??? I'm truly at a standstill on this...
Hi Cambria, mom of three here with one in heaven I watch your videos whenever they upload. I’ve been following you for about four years now and I just want to say thank you I am one that suffers from anxiety, depression and ADHD. I’m a full-time working mom and I just wanted to say, your advice there at the end was just what I needed to hear. Your videos always give me the motivation. I need to get my stuff together and get my house in order. It does feel good to walk through the floors and not have to see the Mess. 😊
Hello from SC! It is 10:30 at night watching ur video & getting great advice & inspiration. I work from home, we have an 11 year old active little guy, one cat. I have my "me time", my quiet time at 8:30 at night after hubby & son go to b ed. Whew!!!! So, I am holding on to ur awesome tips & tricks for tomorrow. (yey I'm off from work outside our home!!!) So hope u have a great night! Sweet dreams every one!!!!
Hi Cambria, I don't think I have ever posted on your channel before but have watched you since about maybe 6 months before you left Wisconsin. Anyway I wanted to speak on staying in one room until you are finished. HUGE change for me. And I thank you ladies on RUclips for literally teaching me how to clean and focus on one room. I used to start in a room, take a dish to the kitchen, now I'm cleaning in there. And by the end of the day I was exhausted and not one room was clean. I can't thank you all enough honestly, and my family probably thanks you too cus I used to rage clean and be yelling at everyone all day. The more you know, as they say
I totally agree, all children should have chores and help around the house. Life skills are super important for young kids to learn. And yes, they will be self sufficient as adults and won't be lost when it's time to live on their own.
You have motivated me to clean my bathroom everyday. I usually left it for my husband to do but I i want the floors done more often so everyday I take about 5 minutes to wipe down the floor and toilet area (small bathroom) and it makes me feel so much better. I work 40+ hours a week out of the house, so I am usually exhausted when I get home, but I can do this quick wipe down.
Hey as a long time fan of your channel I remember you having a car transported when you moved to Florida. I have to move states now and need any recommendations on good car transporting companies. Love your videos! Your “ realness “ comes through and I appreciate that.
Thank you Cambria for the motivation. I deal with alot of clutter because basically because of my husband s medical issues I have taken on extra responsibilities. My worst areas is my couch, kitchen counters and countertops.
I know everyone would say: My life should be so much easier. I went from working 18 hours day's and a house full of people. To just my husband and I and my dog. Now never feeling like I did anything to really get a little ahead. Like the last 4 days. 5 loads of wash. Cleaning the dishes, and lots of cooking. Dog trimmed and his bath. Garbage got out. Then walking back into to the kitchen and said: What the heck. Or any place in the house. I just feel Like, I got more done when I was working. I even sat down to maybe do a schedule. HAHA Still trying to work on a plan. But your video's help a lot. Just venting! Love ya, Have a super day!
What I do is I tell myself (or set a timer) for that drop zone and tell myself I will put away 20 items or 15 items or whatever OR stop putting stuff away when the timer beeps. The counting items helps because I get less distracted and focus on the number and my mind does not wander as much as I am decluttering, putting things away. I typically do this before I have to run errands and tell myself, OK I cannot leave my house for errands before I've done this this and this which is usually running the dishwasher, starting laundry etc and putting those 20 items away.
Work from home paperwork got out of control. I was able to go through all of the combined, messy piles and make 6 categories. Tomorrow I can pick up one at a time and do the work.
I sure hope you all are safe with all the terrible flooding that's happening in Florida right now. Also, when did Grandma leave? Did she have a moving van come take her things back to Wisconsin? Bobby didn't drive here did he? I guess I missed the video that talked about it. Sorry. Two of my biggest things I do each day are to make the bed, and do the dishes. Load the dishwasher or however you clean them, but it really helps. ( Also, hang up your clothes) Vacuuming also helps, if you have carpet.
She left last Saturday. She flew home and we just had a pod picked up with all her other stuff. Lot of stuff went with her though including the cats on the plane
I did the dishes, ran the robot vacuum tidied the house cleaned the patio and am hoping to trim the hedges since my son inlaw won’t let me mow the lawn. Hopefully before it rains again. Flood warnings all week seems like
I cleaned off the kitchen table after watching your show, it’s a drop zone. ☹️ Every time I see you use your feet when you’re cleaning reminds me when I was a kid watching my mom do the same thing and she could even pick up a pencil if she dropped it with her toes. Good memories! My 3 1/2 year-old granddaughter can pick up a crayon with her toes, I said to her, you’re just like your great grandmother. Lol
Hi cambriea love love your videos ,you are such a good rolemarol for young generation I, have lot of respect for you thank you so much ,take care god bless always have a good weekend🇨🇦💜💛💚💖💟🥀🥀🥀👍
I need some motivation to go through a lot of paperwork in my office. I also need to clean out the filing cabinet. My house is clean but I can’t seem to motivate myself to go through the office. At night I tell myself I will do it tomorrow, tomorrow comes and I can’t get myself to do. Please help motivate me
Don’t push it off you got this but also don’t overwhelm yourself. Set a time for 5 or 10 minutes today and tell yourself you only need to do that much. I think you will surprise yourself with how much you can get done
I take out all my decor empty out the room. I’m cleaning put what I like and if I’m happy with it, I take everything to the next room do the same thing in each room and whatever decor is left over I get rid of. When I want something new I buy one I take one replace it and I don’t have anymore toes. today’s Friday tomorrow I will be tackling my laundry room/pantry/closet room.
Hi Cambriea, I don't know what to do first as I have so much out of place and no homes to put it all. I know i need to declutter more, but I just don't. I'm doing the dishes and laundry, and the boys have their chores. I just can't seem to get it together. I would say I'm lazy, but I think it's more my back (disabled), so I have limited mobility. On a good day, I push myself so hard that the next day or two i can't hardly move. I've never been one to sit I'm always doing something, but since my back surgery and all the hardware ( some now broken) it's taken a horrible toll on me even my grandsons I raise said the house never looked like this when papa was alive. It's true, I know, and I really need to get my crap ❤ together. I don't have anyone except the boys to help and that's hard. Please any words of encouragement will be greatly appreciated ❤🙏.
Sorry your not feeling great. I would suggest starting in the kitchen and just do a drawer or cupboard a day. Clear out obvious rubbish Relocate what’s in the wrong place Get donations in a box
I have a desk that is a drop zone right by the dining table that needs attention. A lot of paper clutter and often if dinner is ready stuff gets moved to the desk . And Lego that has been dropped on the floor lol . Also I have a hard time with 8 yr old and 6 yr old cleaning their room. They don’t like doing it themselves I give them directions start with this then do this. Also it’s little things on the floor that hangs them up especially the 6 yr old that doesn’t want to pick up it seems hard or overwhelming probably, trash , or little toys or whatever it is. I also tell them put it away when you’re done so we don’t end up where it takes them more than 5- 10 minutes to clean up their room. Any tips and suggestions? We have done decluttering. I do have some organization in place . Maybe another pass at decluttering. It’s a breeze to clean up after my almost 2 and 1/2 yr old.
omg cambria you're so right addressing this important topic about everyone in the family contributing in the house work - as a mom with three kids i wish my husband could help with anything at home but unfortunately he was raised by his mom that this is a woman's job and it is really very hard for me to finish all the house chores by myself. the kids also follow the step of their father being males so even if i try to ask them to do dishes for instance they wont accept it. i wish i began to give them tiny tasks as little kids so now as teenagers they would help me. this is a very important topic for mom's to know and learn to begin with their kids earlier - i also want my kids to know how to take care of themselves properly when they are adults and not treat their wives as their mommies which will eventually blame me for it as well. thanks for addressing this problem!
Hi Cambria, I’m Single, no kiddos. I completed my small little straightening project ✅ of cleaning off my desktop and putting things away that have a place to go. No place for new books so they are still there, but that’s ok for now. It’s much, much better. Any tips on a desktop book holders. What did everyone one else complete today?
I can honestly say my house was cleaner when my children were small, I would go through the house giving it a deep clean once a week. Now they are older I'm forever chasing them to put their things away, have they put dirty clothes and sports stuff in the laundry. Jackets and shoes don't belong on the floor by the door. I'm now one of those mums that run around like a headless chicken cleaning up if I know someone is coming over. My children's jobs are to deep clean the bathroom, take the trash out and help after meals I don't think it's to much to ask after all it's their home too, one day they will be cleaning their homes. I must say my children are great cooks ( get that from dad) they will never go hungry.
Yep. It's not about perfection, it's better than nothing. I have my daily routines and then weekly zone areas. In some zone weeks, I either get a lot done or hardly anything done. However, it never looks like a bomb has hit the place lol
Hey Cambriea, I hope you see this! I asked this on the previous video but you probably didn't see it. What do you edit your videos with? I've tried my start on RUclips but I am getting caught up on better editing options. I have a 'pending' video saved in documents, but it really needs more succinct editing. Thank you!
@@livingwithcambriea From the phone? Oh wow! Even better. Battling w/the laptop editing got to be overwhelming, so I'm definitely giving that a shot. Thanks so much!
Are you still loving your shorter hair? I had long hair and my hairdresser cut too much off last week and I’ve been upset about it. I think I’ll be like you in future and cut it myself. I feel like I can’t trust anyone to cut it now! Anyway lots of love - love your videos xx
Love all the advice!! Except the kids cleaning their room, drop what they are doing and do it now. I hate that, my parents were like that. We as adults don't do that, why would expect our kids too. If I am watching a show and vacuuming needs to be done I don't stop the show and start vacuuming. So for our house, our son has a list of 3 or 4 things, expectation those things are done before he goes to bed. Our son is also older than your children, so maybe that makes a difference.
I think we worry to much about what is going on in other people's homes and how they raise their children. I wouldn't want to be told how I will raise my kids so I won't tell someone else how to do it. Or I wouldn't want someone to judge me on how I parent or run my home. So I wouldn't do it to someone else. We all need to worry about our own homes and families.
Yes true. I hope I didn’t come off this way. More just saying what I’ve learned personally over the years to help. I know i also said everyone is different so and has different experiences so what works for me may not work for you as well

I did the dishes, ran the robot vacuum tidied the house cleaned the patio and am hoping to trim the hedges since my son inlaw won’t let me mow the lawn. Hopefully before it rains again. Flood warnings all week seems like
Aw hopefully nothing too crazy with rain. Weather this year is crazy
Hi Cambriea great advice have a lovely weekend 😊
Hope you have a great weekend also
I cleaned off the kitchen table after watching your show, it’s a drop zone.
Lol
lol my mom always called me monkey toes
Good morning, love the video as always 👍🌺🌼🌸
Thanks so much
I am thinking about getting that air cleaner/diffuser what do you think about it?
Hi cambriea love love your videos ,you are such a good rolemarol for young generation I, have lot of respect for you thank you so much ,take care god bless always have a good weekend🇨🇦💜💛💚💖💟🥀🥀🥀👍
Loved this ❤️

I need some motivation to go through a lot of paperwork in my office. I also need to clean out the filing cabinet. My house is clean but I can’t seem to motivate myself to go through the office. At night I tell myself I will do it tomorrow, tomorrow comes and I can’t get myself to do. Please help motivate me
Don’t push it off you got this but also don’t overwhelm yourself. Set a time for 5 or 10 minutes today and tell yourself you only need to do that much. I think you will surprise yourself with how much you can get done
I tackled the junk drawer that was getting hard to close.
Clear out obvious rubbish
Relocate what’s in the wrong place
Get donations in a box
All excellent advice 👌
Glad it was helpful!
😅you're doing an excellent job 😊😊
Thank you ❤❤❤❤

My bedroom needs decluttered!

Hello cambria thank you for the vidéo Kiss Martine de France.
Yep. It's not about perfection, it's better than nothing. I have my daily routines and then weekly zone areas. In some zone weeks, I either get a lot done or hardly anything done. However, it never looks like a bomb has hit the place lol
Yes. My goal is to have it good enough where if someone gave me 10 minutes notice of them coming by I could make the house presentable quickly
@@livingwithcambriea You are doing an amazing job. You always motivate me.
Did you all get a lot of rain? Thinking of you.
Not too much. Only 1 day of rain and it was only like a few hours
Thank goodness.
Hey Cambriea, I hope you see this! I asked this on the previous video but you probably didn't see it. What do you edit your videos with? I've tried my start on RUclips but I am getting caught up on better editing options. I have a 'pending' video saved in documents, but it really needs more succinct editing. Thank you!
So I do all my filming and editing in my phone. I use the app KineMaster for editing
@@livingwithcambriea From the phone? Oh wow! Even better. Battling w/the laptop editing got to be overwhelming, so I'm definitely giving that a shot. Thanks so much!
@@mts4611 yeah it’s nice because I’m always running around with the kids and this allows me to work from anywhere
Are you still loving your shorter hair? I had long hair and my hairdresser cut too much off last week and I’ve been upset about it. I think I’ll be like you in future and cut it myself. I feel like I can’t trust anyone to cut it now! Anyway lots of love - love your videos xx
Well my hair is still pretty long so it doesn’t bother me. I can’t do short hair. I tried once and hated it
I need it overnight!! I’m 65 years old!! lol

❤❤❤
what do you use to clean your shower?
You look great! You look like you are losing weight, and you are Pregeant. Are you eating a certain diet?
😊
Do you have a podcast? I would listen to it! 😊

100% train kids to clean, do laundry, cook… especially boys. My son calls it basic dude stuff.
I know i also said everyone is different so and has different experiences so what works for me may not work for you as well
idk where this comment is coming from because that's certainly not what this video suggested 😬
@@Kekeluv26 oh good I’m glad. I never want to make people feel uncomfortable or judged when we are all just trying our best
👍❤😁

I challenge you too do a cleaning vlog with no talking
I have actually done that before and got an overwhelming response of people missing the chit chat
