Say what!!! Kayak sail!! That's dope!
Excellent video! thanks buddy.
Loved some of the ideas and even bought one before your video had ended
I love the idea of the GPS holder on the deck, might copy that. Thanks for the video, best regards from Europe (Spain)
I've been tricking my kayak out recently I appreciate some great ideas, a spare paddle is a great idea. I do alot of fishing from mine and find there's about endless possibilities. Liked and subscribed i love this stuff.
Wow. You're ready to paddle the globe with all that stuff!
New friends here from Trail Trash Outdoors! Love the sail hope to see ya on the water!
GREAT VIDEO VERY EDUCATIONAL VIDEO 👍👍
Very good!
The sail is genius
+Mikkie Reci the Flat Earth Kayak Sails is the best! www.kayakshopaustralia.com.au/kayak-sails/
Cool channel!
Nice rig!
Cheers
Lost one of my spinner hub caps off point Reyes last June, still upset about it.😭
I've got two grab handles mounted perpendicular to the length of my hull and immediately fore and fore and aft of my cockpit .Those handles make it so much easier to get my yaks on top of my truck
You can sail on a kayak?! Whoah !
Great video!
I pimped my kayak, but the fuzzy dice got waterlogged, then the TV crapped out.
joynthis dude you clearly weren’t using high performance fluffy dice now were you
joynthis shoulda went with cable
But did the coffee maker survive?
So much stuff on the deck!
How did people every survive without gadgets?
Keep adding bits until its to heavy to pick up launch and paddle.
Great video! Enjoyed it.
The piece that you use to attach the paddles with the pins...what is it? What is it called originally or was it designed for this purpose. Basically I want to replicate this what parts do I need to buy and where can I find them? Thanks for your help...love the videos!
great video :) some great ideas. i made a video on my kayak mods too. well done
great ideas
That's a $5000 Kayak... i'm sure in AUD it's a whole lot more.
im new to kayaking and still learning before i purchase anything. So all kayaks flood with water in the bow n stern or where you keep your gear? or are some air tight to prevent leaks or flooding.. im looking to get a touring kayak.. any help would be much appreciated.
I'm also very new to the sport. From what I've heard you can buy waterproof wearable-ish covers that attach to the top of the cockpit. I'm not sure if they can be had on anything other than whitewater and ocean kayaks though.
nice and cool
Love this video. Folks need to lighten up on the Pimp. It's brilliant. You have a great sense of humor. I have done most of this to my kayak already. Short of three things. The Sail (It's pricey) and th bilge pump, and the spare paddle holder. Can you link us to where we can get that spare paddle holder and the parts for the bilge pump system, the pump, battery case etc? Thanks
Did you ever get a response or find out where that paddle holder came from?
No reponses yet.
Sorry for slow replay.. re paddle holder - SilverStorm Sea Kayaking kayak21@aapt.net.au Phone: (02) 6494 1366

The cave at the end: Is that the one just near St Georges Head, south of Jervis Bay NSW?

I would like the bilge system I'm in USA how much do they cost I have a hobie mirage adventure island kayak.
Question May 15th, 2018. Hope someone checks in. Just bought a sit on top self bailing with scupper holes. I prefer to sit in a dry kayak with our cold water lakes in Oregon. There was also a little water in the interior storage compartment, which I would like to be more waterproof. DO YOU THINK it is wise to plug the scupper holes permanently and will that keep the interior dry? I would rather attach stabilizers than tip over unintentionally when kayak camping. Thanks!
HI Lindsey, no kayak is water tight! would would not recommend permanently blocking scupper holes, you can get after market plugs, which do do a great job!
Water inside the holds probably comes from the lids, notoriously not as watertight as we'd like, not the scupper holes. Depending on the type of lids, there are different ways to try to solve the issue (probably all easy to find on RUclips :-), but nothing seems to be 100% foolproof - dry bags are your friends.
I did plug in the scupper holes on my SOT with generic silicon plugs, water still seeps in, or splashes in, so I'm still wet. :-)
The... CFTs on the bottom? What are they?
Also, the part that holds the phone? What's that? Found everything else more or less. Please! It's driving me insane!
Me too. I haven't found the ones he showed, but I found this, which might work: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TCR4V70/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
Aha, found it at their shop: www.kayakshopaustralia.com.au/kayak-cockpit-floor-tiedown-kit/
Do you do 2 tow points or only one?
I like to one of the side he gives you options depending on wind direction, there are no real rules depends on the type of Kayak as well and it set up
Where can I find that tape
have a look on you on line shop www.kayakshopaustralia.com.au/keeleazy-tape-2-wide/

No, it’s different water and will sink.

Jesus christ.
Only thing missing is a galley and an anti-aircraft battery.
Man thats really horrible...😂
... that's an absurd amount of equipment. Just my opinion.
It's ocean kayaking, what do you expect?
@@zacjohnson452 haha. correct you are!
an aussie using the word pimp is hysterical. instant cred loss ..
Hi Yora Nidiot, thanks for the heads up, I will take this feed back on board.
+eastcoastkayaking it's a great video! Love that you guys used the word pimp.
Hey East coast. Did you see the question above? Thanks.
Sorry Been out and about...
Correct the sail is price less i suggest the Flat Earth Kayak Sails - Trade Winds 80 (TW80) www.kayakshopaustralia.com.au/flat-earth-kayak-sails-trade-winds-80-tw80/
Kayak Electronic Bilge Pump - includes Rule pump kit, Battery Box, Magnetx Switch (single kayak) is a great expedition accessory www.kayakshopaustralia.com.au/kayak-electronic-bilge-pump-includes-rule-pump-kit-battery-box-magnetx-switch-single-kayak/
Unfortunately we are unable to get the spare paddle system these days, will be in touch if these changes!
cheers
Roh
I wonder if the parts necessary for the spare paddle holder you have there couldn't be had at a hardware store. It looked like a couple of straight pins with a hole that would fit a Kotter pin. For the paddle half without the detent holes already in place, drill one yourself. I expect a crafty guy could make that system for about fifteen bucks.
Thanks for the idea! I like what you've got going on in this video. I'll probably borrow a few of these ideas once my new 14 ft boat comes in.
Caving without a helmet? Can't have a brain to protect!
if you capsize why dont you just use the fucking paddle in your hands to roll up instead of messing about with the spare.
i do realize you are catering to an auzzzzzztraaaalian market but us kiwis think of thd best method to solve a problem
