By the way, Epic is a concept album!! This is a fan animatic, and not a studio made one ^^ so the reason why it’s simple is bc one artist drew it:) epic is actually quite carried by fan animatics, and most of them agree on certain aspects ( characters being drawn to resemble their voice actors ) +jorge does commission artists for his offical livestream visuals during the release of each sagas where it follows his vision ! (there, fan animatics can creatively interpret it !!)
Here's the full order of the songs and in what Saga they're in! Troy Saga/ 1. The Horse and the Infant 2. Just a Man 3. Full Speed Ahead 4. Open Arms 5. Warrior of the mind Cyclops Saga/ 6. Polyphemus 7. Survive 8. Remember them 9. My Goodbye Ocean Saga/ 10. Storm 11. Luck Runs out 12. Keep your friends close 13. Ruthlessness Circe Saga/ 14. Puppeteer 15. Wouldn’t You like? 16. Done For 17. There are other ways The Underworld Saga 18. The Underworld 19. No longer you 20. Monster ACT 1 COMPLETE, Act 2 can be done later, my comment’s already so long XD Have fun man! I love this musical!
Baby is the SON of Hector. The MC is Sean Bean in the movie Troy. Epic is almost done, we assume it'll be done December... might be January though (this is a guess). Might be a worse way to die but it is probably easier than impaling the child and having to watch it... where as drop over of the wall? Don't have to watch that baby fall. Fun things: Each named character has an instrument associated with them, there are a lot of motifs/return melodies throughout so pay attention. Epic is the story of The Odyssey which, if you don't know/remember, is the story of Odysseus returning home after the Trojan War and the trials/tribulations he faces. I recommend not looking up The Odyssey, Jorge changes things but it follows many of the story beats so reading up on it could spoil important moments. I also recommend asking your audience/a friend to give you a playlist or something like that so you don't get spoilers that way, no animator has done every song and some have only done parts of songs or have a mixture of full animatics/animations and partials. I'd say from your reaction that this is warranted: Welcome to the Winions were a mostly happy bunch... Jorge feeds us well, especially these last few months.
The guy is such a baby-dropper! :O (Oh, the baby was 'the SON of none other than Troy's very own Prince Hector', so the baby is Astyanax, not Hector). I'm so happy you started EPIC, please keep going! Let's go: Full Speed Ahead is next! I'm sure others explain this more competently, but EPIC: the Musical is a concept album by Jorge Rivera-Herrans, often called Jay, who also sings the role of the main guy in the story. Epic tells the story of a certain epic poem from ancient Greece. It's an ongoing project, the last couple of songs are to be released in all likelihood by the end of this year. Each song is fan-animated by various people. Those are usually animatics, so rough draft animations, although recently, some are surprisingly high quality. On youtube, you can find the actual songs from Jay (just audio), and animations on the channels of various animator fans. Structure: two acts, each act consists of multiple 'sagas' (really, chapters), dealing with one narrative section of the story. There will be a total of 9 sagas. Each saga includes I think 3-5 songs. You watched songs 1 & 2 of the first Saga, called the Troy Saga.
Preemptive need to specify that animatic means a not-fully-animated work closer to a storyboard. Also these are not official videos, animatics are fan works often made completely by a single individual for fun for a work they love, not a studio. Thats why your comments will likely fill up with channel recs for artists for each song lol. Signed a person who also works on animatics. Love the reaction hope you enjoy this series!
Well well welcome to Epic the Musical!!!! Funfact 1) the creator of epic Jorge rivera herrans or easier to say his name Jay. Sing as Odysseus the main character. 2) Each epic character has a signature instrument if you listen closely behind the singing. That inspiration Jay when he was young watched Peter and the Wolf musical. 3) The creator Jay is also big fan of anime and video games. You definitely will feel the game vibes in the songs.
Please continue the rest of the musical, find somebody you trust with knowledge of the musical to create a playlist on your behalf. You could also reach out to some larger creators in the EPIC community like Mortius and CF Entertainment for advice on which animatics to watch. Assuming you're just going to jump right into the next songs, you'd want to go in order. The remaining songs in the "Troy Saga" are Full Speed Ahead, Open Arms, and Warrior of the Mind. Enjoy! :D (If anyone else is reading this and has seen song 13, you know John is going to lose his mind...my anticipation is immeasurable...)
Wet Hades inbound 😂 Lord, imagine if Mortius did manage to snag interactions with each new Epic reactor. That would be _nuts._ So many people are getting into it… and there’s only one saga left 😭
So basically, the maker of Epic, Jorge Rivera-Herrans, is currently finishing up with the concept album for the musical, but it doesn't yet have many visuals or a show - on the other hand, the fans are very active with making animatics for the musical. That's what most people react to, individual fans' home-made animatics. For what they are, they are of a very good quality though, and from what I've seen, most if not all portray the story well and consistently. The maker also actively watches many of the animatics, thanks people for them, and sometimes pays people to do them for his saga release livestreams :D Only listening to the music is okay too, but if you find the animatics nice, they will sometimes help with context in parts that can't be fully portrayed by the music alone - although the animatics are fanmade, they are very faithful to Jorge's vision and take into account what he's said about what happens in different parts. There isn't going to be stylistic consistency all the time, however, since there are many different animators who make the animatics, and you kind of have to jump between their videos to watch all of the songs since I don't think any of the animators have made animatics for all of the songs - that would be an unimaginable task to ask from a single individual working on it as a hobby since there are like 40 songs in this musical xD How Epic works is, it comes out in a few song batches called sagas, so we get a few songs at a time. The concept album is finishing up, there is only one saga left and it's likely that we'll get it around christmas or new years'. The sagas so far in order are "Troy", "Cyclops", "Ocean", "Circe", "Underworld", "Thunder", "Wisdom" and "Vengeance". The songs you listened to are the beginning of the Troy saga, there are three more songs in that one. And you might notice from the names that yes, this musical follows the storyline of the Odyssey :D
These are the very first two songs of the the first album(The Troy Saga) so dw you didn’t start late like alien stage lmao. Epic is a musical, currently just concept albums but Jorge Rivera Herrans, he also plays Odysseus, the main character. The whole story is based on the Odyssey which comes after the Illiad(the Trojan war.) it’s about Odysseus journey home with his crew. There are plenty of animatics but there are some that are preferred by the fans like the one you just watched. There’s a good playlist somewhere I know most most reactors use I just forget which one 🫠. And as for how far along it is it’s at its at 8 albums so far with an average of about 4-5 songs each. The next one is set to come out on Christmas (?). And the story is divided into two acts 5 in the first 4 in the latter each, so one* remaining until it’s all out! (Trying to keep this shortish but im rambling lol) Not trying to spoil anything but each noteable character in the musical has their own instrument that is always present when they are speaking (or rather singing). So that’s something fun to watch for. As well as the fact that in songs there have to be other people present in the story for a song to have background vocals, which is why in just a man they only came out towards the end when his men were on the ground below him. The only exception to this rule are when the gods are singing because they can generate voices to sing with them, like when Zeus was telling Odysseus to kill Hectors son.
10:49 Ah yes, the ol' "I don't like musicals because dancing and singing in the streets is unrealistic", heard this from various friends of mine too 😂 See, Greek soldiers didn't sing their plans, nor did they vocalize emotional ballads in war... "That didn't happen irl" either! I think suspension of disbelief wasn't the issue: you just don't like the genre of singing and dancing and the storytelling of those traditional popular musicals. And, as a fan of "modern musicals"... same 😁 musicals today can be so varied and different from that stereotype
You actually started with the first 2 songs of the musical, so you’re doing it right. I listened to the whole thing out of order first and then once I listened to it in order it made so much more sense lol. Please keep reacting to these. The next 2 are “full speed ahead” and then “open arms. This whole musical is Epic lol
I don’t know how you plan on formatting these, but the easiest way is by sagas. Each batch of song is released in a saga, like a mini album. This first one is called The Troy Saga. You have three songs left- Full Speed Ahead, Open Arms, and Warrior of The Mind. In WOTM, you will meet the Divine Sugar Mama XD (Epic is a rabbit hole, man).
Epic: The Musical is a retelling of The Odyssey, which is the story of Odysseus returning home from the Trojan war. So it starts with the end of the war, and then follows him and his crew through the hardships they face on their journey.
IMPORTANT NOTE: I already wrote a comment sharing my enthusiasm and advice, but just for important clarification on the next few songs: the first nine songs of the show were created in collaboration with another production company, who never ended up paying the royalties to the creator, Jorge Rivera-Herrans. As a result, songs 10 and beyond were created and produced under the creator's own company. Eventually they went and remade the first nine songs with improved production and released them under their own company as well. The reason I bring this up is because while the animatic you just watched was updated with the new audio, many old animatics of the first nine songs do not have updated audio, which means the production is a little rough around the edges (though still great). Just be aware that the quality might differ between animatics moving forward, at least until song 10. If you'd like to hear the full remade versions of the first nine songs, just look up Jorge Rivera-Herrans (the musical's creator) on any streaming service and find their version of the Troy and Cyclops sagas. Hope this clears some things up. Enjoy your EPIC journey! :D
Okay first of all wtf you read my mind lmao I was JUST thinking « I can’t wait for the day he reacts to Epic » and boom you released that lmao. Please react to the WHOLE thing it gets better with each songs 😭 Now little explanation : - this is based on the Odyssey but Jorge, the creator of this « musical » took some creative liberties so don’t lie to much on the original story - it all started with Jorge posting demos of it on tiktok, so we saw the project grow and Jorge is really a genious, not only did he create all of this, write all the lyrics, produced and arranged the music, he also voiced the main character, Odysseus which you just heard in these two songs and commissioned some animators so they can animate each songs according to his visions. - these are concept albums so it’s a series of them but each of them are like chapters of the story with a different arc. So the first album is called the Troy saga The horse and the infant was the intro just like the Odyssey we start the story towards the end of the Trojan war. The whole musical is in two acts, we’re currently waiting for the last album of act II you’re not ready for the rest of it. - Jorge took inspiration in animes, video games, movies, series, other musicals, Disney movies etc. And you can clearly hear it in some of the songs. Little deep dive in the music : - listen carefully, each character has their own intrument and motiv. Odysseus’ was the guitar (according to his mood it could be an accoustic guitar or an electric one or really anything that fits the mood) - we heard the danger motiv as well in the horse and the infant and that was not the last time we hear it lmao - in this universe, Gods and non human creatures can summon their own choir or background vocals but mortals cannot. So when Odysseus sings and a choir answers it is his men singing for support. - Gods and non human creatures also have electric elements in their music for example in the horse and the infant when Zeus appeared we could hear a very synthetic bass going along his verse. I recommand you take a look at the whole cast because they’re all perfect. All were chosen by Jorge himself, he held open auditions for each character and he managed to chose so many talented people it’s almost overwhelming but in a good way so yeah I hope you really enjoy the rest of it
Also if you want to do more musicals, no one ever does French musicals but there’s one that you can find with English subs cause they almost toured the world with it. they just never went to the US. It’s called « Mozart l’opéra rock » and it’s GOOD you can also find english subs for other ones but « Mozart l’opéra Rock » is amazing trust me.
I think it will be well worth your while to continue through this whole series. Just... trust me on this one, please. And also, get ready for every. Single. Emotion. No exceptions.
I never clicked a video quicker once I saw this. This was the first two songs of what will be 40 songs (35 already released) I hope you react to the rest of them. Basic info, Jorge (Jay/Mr. Jalapeño) created the music and fans have created the unofficial visuals. So many people have created their own playlists so if you do continue and want to stay unspoiled people will definitely share their favorite videos for the songs in order.
I'm sure others have said this, but I'm so excited i haven't read the comments. There are currently 8 sagas completed with the 9th and final saga coming out soon (by christmas if he follows the timeline of his releases) it'll be 40 songs total. I recommend doing your videos by sagas. The first songs you did was the first part of the Troy Saga, with 3 songs remaining before you hit the second saga, the cyclops saga! I really hope you continue this. The story is full of amazing twists and turns, and the lyrics and VAs are phenomenal!!
If you haven't done your mythology or classics review yet... Hector's infant son was in fact killed by being thrown from the walls of Troy (I forget whether or not it was Odysseus who did it, though). It was one of several acts that outraged the gods during the sack of Troy, that in turn led to most of the attacking Greeks having a difficult time getting home (though Odysseus obviously had the worst of it). Those events technically happened in between the Iliad and the Odyssey, and we've lost the original stories, but other stories that we do have either mention or briefly go over the events.
I really hope you continue with the reactions, this musical is so beautiful and will grip a hold of your emotions. So brilliantly written and composed!!
So glad you are getting into Epic the Musical. It's by far one of my favorite musicals and I can't wait for you to explore the other sagas! Also, bit of backstory. This musical is a retelling of the Odyssey, but what is in the video details the last of the Trojan War. And in that war, Achilie's son, the one called Neo, joined them for the final battle. Also, Hector's son was literally thrown off Troy's walls. Not sure if it was specifically Odysseus, but it did happen. Hope you enjoyed the experience and get ready. Some more heavy shit is going to go down soon.
Epic the info without spoilers! : Epic the musical is a concept album, meaning all the animatics are fan made. That being said Jorge Rivera Herrans (The wroter of epic the musical, and voice of Odysseus) does commission some of the animators for his premiere lives of the sagas. The fandom has pretty much unanimously agreed to draw the characters to look like their voice actors, so the appearance of characters is quite consistent trough different animatics. The musical follows Odysseus, the king of Ithaca on his jorney back home after the Trojan war. The voices in the muscial are diegetic, meaning that any backing vocals you hear must be in the same space with the main vocalist. So when Ody was about to drop the baby from the balcony it's the voices of his men as backing vocals, watching him. Gods are an exception to the diegetic voices in that they can summon their own choir, as a sort of display of divine power. Most of the important characters also have their own instruments that you can usually hear when they're singing, and it can also tell you about the characters relationships, who's in charge of the situation or to hint at a presence. For example Odysseus' instrument is guitar and can be acoustic or electric depending of his state of mind and the situation. Jorge also likes to play with musical motifs some more hidden than others, and they can tell you a lot about what's happening. Musically Epic is well... Epic >:3 The musical is divided to 2 acts with 20 songs in each, and the acts are divided to sagas. The last one is yet to come out, with the 8th saga having released earlier this month. The sagas are as follows: Act one 1. Troy saga 2. Cyclops saga 3. Ocean saga 4. Circe Saga 5. Underworld saga Act two 1. Thunder saga 2. Wisdom saga 3. Vengance saga 4. Ithaca saga (Yet to be released)
This is an amazing concept album and the writer/creature sings Ody’s voice he has one saga left to come out probably by the end of this year. Please continue I promise it will be worth it
I was literally just looking a couple weeks ago to see if you'd started reacting to this yet!! This is so exciting!!! Would love to see you react to the rest of the musical :))
Wowowowoww!! Holy shit, the music and their voices gave me chillssssss! There so many parts where my eyes stung man. But also, the fact that the focus is mythos!? COUNT ME IN. Thank you once again for introducing us to some great content 🫶🏻
Ok, so big thing to know, the animatics are fan made and their quality is astounding. The creator of the musical,Jorge Rivera-herrans, has also gotten them to do animatics for the live streams he does each saga release. Saga are: Troy saga, cyclops saga, ocean saga, Circe saga, underworld saga, thunder saga, wisdom saga, vengeance saga, and Ithaca saga (not yet released).
One thing the animatics are completely fan made they’re not official, but they’re heavily based on things Jorge the creator has said and mythology. Because the animatics got so popular Jorge started to use these animators to commission official animatics and animations for his live streams, so if you watch the live streams earlier sagas have barely any animatics while later one have a lot.
OMG YES! Please continue this series, it is SO worth it. If you are doing animatics, then I highly suggest you listen to the comments about which animatics to do next. Cuz there are some floating around that are unfinished or just small snippets with no context, and a few reactors have already had that misfortune
Some interesting tidbits: Each major character has a signature instrument! For example, Odysseuses instrument is the guitar. Electric guitar is used when he's being sly, smart, strategic, etc., while acoustic guitar means he's emotional or vulnerable Any vocals you hear, including background vocals, exist within the epic universe. Unless! The background vocals are accompanying a God. Because gods, being gods, can just break that rule and summon background vocals for themselves. Any others i should add?
Jorge does change SOME little things from the Odyssey's original story. Also! Fun Fact! The singers were each chosen from tiktok! He released each song in beta, & the singers would sing the bit put out for public. The most popular singer was selected for each character, ie the fan favorite.💪 There are also SEVERAL VERY GOOD animations for each song, so you may even want to watch more than one animation for some of these songs! ALSO PLEASE for the best viewing experience, listen to it saga by saga!
Its the start of the musical. Follows the Odyssey and id watch the reactions to the rest of the musical. These are fan animatics drawn for the music. All of the musical has animatics for each song from multiple different artist. There will be someone in this comment section with the best playlist on which ones to watch. Id recommend going in order and just finding the playlist with all the animatics in them. Keep it up 😊
Epic the Musical follows the Odyssey - the story of Odysseus' journey back home after the Trojan war - these songs are the first two. There are things along the way that the composer (Jorge Rivera-Herrans - who also sings the lead) has changed slightly from the story. One of these is the infant - as far as I know generally the stories around the Trojan War do contain the baby being dropped from the walls, but different storytellers differ on who did the dropping. Jorge has had it be Odysseus to bring themes in that flow throughout the whole thing
Totally worth it. Please watch the other animatics, if needed, ask someone to make for you a playlist of the animatics in order. Those are animatics, they are the concept of the animation, a rough sketch and it is the reason they are simple. Also, Epic isn’t a faithful adaptation, there are differences if you compare it to the novel. This is normal when doing adaptations. I don’t know about the movie Troy, but wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t a faithful adaptation either. Differences are to be expected.
LET'S FKN GOOOO SO EXCITED FOR THIS REACTION!! This is my favorite musical! Okay edit, so for context: - the music is what is official, the animatics are fan-made for a visual! Up until about the wisdom saga I'm pretty sure which is where Jorge (the creator) started comissioning the artists to make animatics based on what he invisions basically and shows them on live streams! - This was the beginning (first 2 songs) of the troy saga, but the other sagas are: the cyclops saga, ocean saga, circe saga, underworld saga, thunder saga, wisdom saga and the most recent one the vengeance saga. The last one is thought to possibly release December or next year! - All are so good and I am sooooo excited to see your reactions! There are good playlists with the animatics for each song, can't wait to watch more if you decide to react!
the kid is Hectors son, in the Troy movie they changed some aspects of the story to make it more appealing and exciting, for example Achilles making it into the wooden horse, in reality Achilles was killed by Paris a little earlier, in the song you hear Odysseus say "Neo, avenge your father, kill the brothers of Hector" Neo is Achilles's son and in most versions, he kills King Priam (Hectors father), Polites and Polyxena (Hectors brother and sister respectively), and even in some other versions of the siege of Troy, its him who kills Astyanax (Hectors infant son) instead of Odysseus, and there are other versions where neither of them are the ones who kill him, its a big point of contention about the story and in the many retellings of it its changed constantly, however he always dies sadly, also the reason why Odysseus atleast throws him instead of stabbing him, is because he needs to detach himself from the situation, letting go of his robe feels way less violent than stabbing him even if its way worse for the baby
Hey make sure you have someone you trust set up animatics for you to watch, because some people accidentally don't watch full ones based on the actual release songs! someone farther down posted a list of all the songs in order but its REALLY cool if you have someone you know set up the list of animatics for you.
I AM GOING TO SCREAM OMFG HELLO I found you because of your Skz and Ateez reactions and you reacting to EPIC is a dream come true omg I’m literally crying 😭
So, there are a couple of different accounts to what happened to Hector´s son during the raid of Troy. Not in what happened to him, most agree he was tossed over the walls, but they differ about who did the tossing. But yeah, one of the possible culprits is Oddyseus himself.
Please please please continue the rest of the musical, please! I think you can find a playlist on RUclips where everything is arranged in order of the sagas. You wont regret it!
Omg! Found you looking for Dimash reaction videos, but was surprised to find Epic reactiona! This is my favorite musical ever! Ren- Hi Ren, is another amazing artist you should check out
Nice!!! Another Winion! This musical is based on The Odyssey, which is the story that takes place directly after The Trojan War, and is about the soldiers from Ithaca going home. If you don’t already have a playlist for all the songs, here’s one: ruclips.net/p/PL3onch2IbPlVEtB-uLmORTvYjnGso9AyP&si=5lEZZzQ-r1q_EEOl
So for some backstory, this is based on The Odyssey by Homer. It follows the story of Odysseus as he desperately tries to go back home and was created by Jorge himself. This also has some great mythological creatures and gods, especially of greek mythology lmao If you decide to follow the entire musical, more backstory will be needed but for now you're fine lmao.
Aaand the Epic fandom army descends. Brace yourself! 😂 (The music keeps being this amazing btw. Though all animatics are fan-made, just fyi.) People probably told you already, but the official concept album is up on Jorge Rivera-Herrans' RUclips channel. There's playlists where people collect animatics but if you do want to watch the rest, I recommend checking that the order of songs is correct beforehand.
Little fun fact after hearing you like Achiles in Troy... Ody sang "Neo(ptolemus), avenge your father kill the brothers of Hector", Guess who is Neoptolemus' father?!?!
The musical is done by Jorge who wrote produced and stars as ody but every song has fans who have created animatics some have worked with Jorge and some haven’t so some have canon stuff in it and some don’t but they’re all good. The musical itself is incredible and really heartfelt. Personally I’d love to see you do a whole saga at a time but you’d need to have someone you know and trust set you up with a playlist if you want the animatics first or just listen to the audio or Jorge’s RUclips if you wanna listen to it first without any images. ❤
For the next animatics to watch for the last of the Troy Saga, I suggest Full Speed Ahead by Wolfy the Witch and Open Arms and Warrior of the Mind by Mircy
We did it!! One more, Winions!!!
The Winion Army continues
The winions are wining
Soon all music RUclips channels shall join us!
Long live the Winions empire
HAHAHAH MY WINIONS.... OUR ARMY, IT GROWS!!!!
PLEASE CONTINUE THE REST OF THE MUSICAL ITS SOO GOOD
By the way, Epic is a concept album!! This is a fan animatic, and not a studio made one ^^ so the reason why it’s simple is bc one artist drew it:) epic is actually quite carried by fan animatics, and most of them agree on certain aspects ( characters being drawn to resemble their voice actors )

Epic is based on the Odessey, so is set after the battle of Troy, they start at the end of the battle, and it is about the trip home from war
Baby is the SON of Hector. The MC is Sean Bean in the movie Troy. Epic is almost done, we assume it'll be done December... might be January though (this is a guess). ONE OF US!
WE GOT EM! THAT'S ANOTHER ONE, WINIONS, WRITE THAT DOWN!
The baby who died wasn’t Hector himself, but Astyanax, Hector’s son.
WE GOT ANOTHER ONE!! Dude just fell a rabbit hole, good luck because you’ll need it

Oh yeah, I think he'll love song 13!
There isn't going to be stylistic consistency all the time, however, since there are many different animators who make the animatics, and you kind of have to jump between their videos to watch all of the songs since I don't think any of the animators have made animatics for all of the songs - that would be an unimaginable task to ask from a single individual working on it as a hobby since there are like 40 songs in this musical xD
How Epic works is, it comes out in a few song batches called sagas, so we get a few songs at a time.
(Trying to keep this shortish but im rambling lol)
Not trying to spoil anything but each noteable character in the musical has their own instrument that is always present when they are speaking (or rather singing).
10:49 Ah yes, the ol' "I don't like musicals because dancing and singing in the streets is unrealistic", heard this from various friends of mine too 😂
See, Greek soldiers didn't sing their plans, nor did they vocalize emotional ballads in war... "That didn't happen irl" either! I think suspension of disbelief wasn't the issue: you just don't like the genre of singing and dancing and the storytelling of those traditional popular musicals. And, as a fan of "modern musicals"... same 😁 musicals today can be so varied and different from that stereotype
Always love watching new people getting brought into this. Your reactions are what I LIVE for.
One of us! One of us! One of us! (We have one album left before all the concept songs are released and we don’t have a release date yet)
I am so happy you decided to listen to Epic. It is quite the journey!
LETS GOOOO! WE GOT ANOTHER ONE!!
Btw, the animation is fan made! There’s no stage performance for it. It’s a concept musical.
ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE US
WE FOUND ONE MORE, WINIONS! Please react to the rest of it, it's amazing. You will love (and sometimes hate) everything about it!!
I hope you enjoy the musical about The Odyssey!
YESSSS. Love the reaction. Please consider doing the rest of the musical. Its amazing!
Okay first of all wtf you read my mind lmao I was JUST thinking « I can’t wait for the day he reacts to Epic » and boom you released that lmao. Please react to the WHOLE thing it gets better with each songs 😭
Now little explanation :
- this is based on the Odyssey but Jorge, the creator of this « musical » took some creative liberties so don’t lie to much on the original story
- it all started with Jorge posting demos of it on tiktok, so we saw the project grow and Jorge is really a genious, not only did he create all of this, write all the lyrics, produced and arranged the music, he also voiced the main character, Odysseus which you just heard in these two songs and commissioned some animators so they can animate each songs according to his visions.
Little deep dive in the music :
- listen carefully, each character has their own intrument and motiv. Odysseus’ was the guitar (according to his mood it could be an accoustic guitar or an electric one or really anything that fits the mood)
- we heard the danger motiv as well in the horse and the infant and that was not the last time we hear it lmao
- in this universe, Gods and non human creatures can summon their own choir or background vocals but mortals cannot.
Ahhh, finally! I was waiting for you to react to epic!🤩
I knew I could trust you😌
OH MY GOOD no way john is reacting to EPIC
Please continue!
I think it will be well worth your while to continue through this whole series. Just... trust me on this one, please. And also, get ready for every. Single. Emotion. No exceptions.
ONE OF US ONE OF US!! WE ACCEPT HIM!!
10:26 the worst version of the Baby's death is the baby being used as a bludgeoning weapon to kill his grandfather(the king)
You've opened the wind bag... you must continue on this odyssey
Luke Holt is the Vocals for Zeus and the creator of EPIC Jorge Rivera-Herrans is the Vocals for our main man Odysseus.
Depending on the telling, Odysseus or Neo killed Hector's infant son.
@@mirandabee2323 Thanks!
YES! Please tell me you're gonna react to the rest now! They're so good and your reactions are awesome.
Epic the info without spoilers! :
Epic the musical is a concept album, meaning all the animatics are fan made.
Epic >:3
The musical is divided to 2 acts with 20 songs in each, and the acts are divided to sagas.
The last one is yet to come out, with the 8th saga having released earlier this month.
The sagas are as follows:
Act one
1. Troy saga
2. Cyclops saga
3. Ocean saga
4. Circe Saga
5. Underworld saga
Act two
1. Thunder saga
2. Wisdom saga
3. Vengance saga
4. Ithaca saga (Yet to be released)
This is an amazing concept album and the writer/creature sings Ody’s voice he has one saga left to come out probably by the end of this year. Please continue I promise it will be worth it
I'm absolutely here for another Epic reaction!! Please continue it!
One of us one of us one of us
Whenever someone else reacts to this I just imagine Janine from ghostbusters screaming “WE GOT ONE!”
Ok, so big thing to know, the animatics are fan made and their quality is astounding. The creator of the musical,Jorge Rivera-herrans, has also gotten them to do animatics for the live streams he does each saga release. Saga are: Troy saga, cyclops saga, ocean saga, Circe saga, underworld saga, thunder saga, wisdom saga, vengeance saga, and Ithaca saga (not yet released).
ladies and gentlemen... we got him
One thing the animatics are completely fan made they’re not official, but they’re heavily based on things Jorge the creator has said and mythology. Because the animatics got so popular Jorge started to use these animators to commission official animatics and animations for his live streams, so if you watch the live streams earlier sagas have barely any animatics while later one have a lot.
This musical is based on the Odyssey. It's an incredibly dark book but it's amazing
5:34 say that again
OMG YES! Please continue this series, it is SO worth it. If you are doing animatics, then I highly suggest you listen to the comments about which animatics to do next. Cuz there are some floating around that are unfinished or just small snippets with no context, and a few reactors have already had that misfortune
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I can't believe you're reacting to this I'm so excited what
Yes, please bring more, Its Awesome
Can’t wait to see your reaction to the rest of the musical!
I really liked it too! I didn't know it'd be this good. It seems that there's more, let's watch them!
I'VE DREAMED OF THIS MOMENT FOR SO LONG. THE DAY YOU WOULD REACT TO EPIC 🥹🥹🥹🥹
The reason the first song sounds rock like is because Odysseus has guitar on his stuff from electric to acoustic and such
OMG EPIC LETS GOOO
Some interesting tidbits:
Each major character has a signature instrument! For example, Odysseuses instrument is the guitar. Electric guitar is used when he's being sly, smart, strategic, etc., while acoustic guitar means he's emotional or vulnerable
Any vocals you hear, including background vocals, exist within the epic universe. Unless! The background vocals are accompanying a God. Because gods, being gods, can just break that rule and summon background vocals for themselves.
Any others i should add?
Omg yessss please continue the series!!!
YEEESSSS ONE OF USSSS, I cannot wait to see if you watch the rest! Each saga just continuously gets better! 👏
My favorite Saga is the ending of Act 1, cant wait for you to keep going
Jorge does change SOME little things from the Odyssey's original story.
Also! Fun Fact!
The singers were each chosen from tiktok! He released each song in beta, & the singers would sing the bit put out for public. The most popular singer was selected for each character, ie the fan favorite.💪
There are also SEVERAL VERY GOOD animations for each song, so you may even want to watch more than one animation for some of these songs!
Okay edit, so for context:
- the music is what is official, the animatics are fan-made for a visual!
WHY IS THIS JUST NOW APPEARING IN MY FEED?!
Yes!!! I want more of your reactions !!
Hey make sure you have someone you trust set up animatics for you to watch, because some people accidentally don't watch full ones based on the actual release songs! someone farther down posted a list of all the songs in order but its REALLY cool if you have someone you know set up the list of animatics for you.
I AM GOING TO SCREAM OMFG HELLO
I found you because of your Skz and Ateez reactions and you reacting to EPIC is a dream come true omg I’m literally crying 😭
So, there are a couple of different accounts to what happened to Hector´s son during the raid of Troy. Not in what happened to him, most agree he was tossed over the walls, but they differ about who did the tossing. But yeah, one of the possible culprits is Oddyseus himself.
Looking forward to watch the rest of it
YEEEEEEEEEEEES PLEASE WATCH ALL OF IT
Finally you react to the Epic the Musical
I've been waiting for this moment 😂😂😂😂
Welcome to the Odyssey, Epic version. Jorge -the creator AND Odysseus' voice-, is the goat.
One of us. One of us!!! :D
RIP Baby Astyanax X3
Please please please continue the rest of the musical, please! I think you can find a playlist on RUclips where everything is arranged in order of the sagas. You wont regret it!
Welcome to Epic my guy
Omg! Found you looking for Dimash reaction videos, but was surprised to find Epic reactiona! This is my favorite musical ever!
Ren- Hi Ren, is another amazing artist you should check out
Welcome to the community!
ONE OF US! ONE OF US!
Yesss I can't believe John has just started this, haven't finished the video yet but already made my day ❤❤
Hope you have an awesome time dude
So for some backstory, this is based on The Odyssey by Homer. It follows the story of Odysseus as he desperately tries to go back home and was created by Jorge himself.
This also has some great mythological creatures and gods, especially of greek mythology lmao
If you decide to follow the entire musical, more backstory will be needed but for now you're fine lmao.
Guys! We claimed another one! I get the pancakes ready, warm up the grilled chicken and get the Sushi out of the fridge
FOR REAL!!!!!!! Oh my god. Your going to ❤❤❤❤ the Odyssey
Aaand the Epic fandom army descends. Brace yourself! 😂 (The music keeps being this amazing btw. Though all animatics are fan-made, just fyi.)
People probably told you already, but the official concept album is up on Jorge Rivera-Herrans' RUclips channel.
WINIONS WE GOT ANOTHER ONE
The musical is done by Jorge who wrote produced and stars as ody but every song has fans who have created animatics some have worked with Jorge and some haven’t so some have canon stuff in it and some don’t but they’re all good. The musical itself is incredible and really heartfelt. Personally I’d love to see you do a whole saga at a time but you’d need to have someone you know and trust set you up with a playlist if you want the animatics first or just listen to the audio or Jorge’s RUclips if you wanna listen to it first without any images. ❤
I feel like he would really enjoy Six Hundred Strike, Get in the Water, and Ruthlessness (Poseidon songs)
Welcome to the Fandom! You're gonna love it here😊
For the next animatics to watch for the last of the Troy Saga, I suggest Full Speed Ahead by Wolfy the Witch and Open Arms and Warrior of the Mind by Mircy
