I had a drain pipe that had been placed with the joints deliberately left loose so roots entered at each joint. When I dug it up, the entire length was solid roots. BTW, a hydro flush is just a high pressure nozzle at the end of a hose. The nozzle has a spray pattern that is suppose to clean the walls of the pipe and can be strong enough to cut off thin roots. Can be very effective on sewer pipes, but won't work at all in the pipe you had.

Wow, so informative! Great to see this side of your landscaping business because not every company knows how to manage water drainage issues, though they think they do 🙄.
I do have a question. We want to put in a pvc pipe from the gutters to a dry well but it would end up close to a crepe myrtle tree. Would the roots go into the dry well like they did in the pipe with holes? Thanks!
