I'm always impressed with how well Sammo Hung moves with his size.
IKR! Dude's fcking flexible for his size
Sammo's amazing. Under that hefty exterior are muscles trained for almost a decade under Yu Jim-yuen, a strict martial arts master whose response to fuckups was to lash the shit out of his students with a bamboo cane. If you couldn't do the splits he'd eventually just push you down into them, and if your hamstrings tore, so be it.
I can't tell if his fight sequences are sped up - I'm inclined to believe that the fight combination at 1:25 is done at normal speed.
Yeah. Me too
If Jackie Chan is in a movie you can bet some undercranking or frame deletion was used. Most Hong Kong movies employ at least a bit of undercranking to speed up the action.
A notable exception was Bruce Lee, who was so fast some of his scenes had to be overcranked so you could even see his moves clearly.
I like the way the guy just dipped without hesitation as soon as she said, 'I can handle her'. No additional polite question like 'Are you sure?'. My man just absolutely avoided that fight.

All these Bruce Lee references shows how much Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan respect the man and how an inspiration he was for them
Im loving it !
Sammo Hung didn't like Bruce Lee! He was there before Burce
Hitomi Akane As far as I know, he had an issue with Bruce one, over the fact Bruce Lee asked him to be in a movie, which Sammo agreed, but then Bruce vanished, and he didn't hear about the movie or from Bruce for months and months, so he agreed to another project.
Bruce then suddenly called him 8 or 9 months later and asked him to come for the movie, but he couldn't due to his new project and he was out of the country. Bruce got mad and called him a liar, which upset him.
He ended up going to film with Bruce and they talked about it and it was fixed.
It was a misunderstanding, at best.
Not every Karate based movie has reference to Bruce lee
Actually over the years Sammo showed is respect and admiration for him
He played in 1978 in a movie called "Enter the fat dragon" who he reproduced scene, moves, mimic and choreography in the same way Bruce Lee did

Michiko is infact a Japanese actress and stunt woman, martial artist, fight choreographer, and former female bodybuilder and powerlifter (that's why she has such a beefy/muscular body).
