The only difference, however, is that back when WMATA had the 1000 series traincars in service, the 8-car consist would normally have not just 1000 series, but a mix of 1000, 4000, 5000, 2000, 3000, and 6000
My daughter rode this line daily until COVID hit and she had to work at home. In fact she's permanently working from home. Good thing too because now she lives in Pomona...
Not gonna lie the times I went to LA I enjoyed riding the Metro bus and rail except for some things that were a bit odd to me but hey I’m a New Yorker so i did not feel home sick that much 😁
#NowPlaying: Jamiroquai - "Space Cowboy", Frank Ocean - "Pyramids", 50 Cent/Kendrick Lamar - "We Up", 5ive - "When The Lights Go Out" (U.S. Remix) & *NSYNC - "You Got It" ...a tale of two lines, one being a bit longer than the one it works with most of the time that they actually run...and so what if you lost your verification badges on Twitter, to whom it may concern...you weren't relevant enough to the viewing public & their f'n affiliates & associates...SMH...ridiculousness galore, son...LOL! Crafty as it sounds, it gets messy w/ every run they're on...and next thing you know, another staffing cut is gonna occur...25% is plenty, but another round of that shhh! would be even worse...but anyways, this is the (B) Line, the very first subway for the LA Metro system & the only one that goes as far as the northern section of Hollywood land, North Hollywood to be exact...it's also one of two LA Metro subway lines to be fully underground, the other one being the (D) Line...that one goes as far as Wilshire/Western in Koreatown w/ an extension to the VA Hospital in Westwood expected to be completed sometime in 2027 despite the complaints from the haters of these f'n subway lines...LOL! These cars have the same traction systems as the old WMATA 1000-series cars. I love how they sound

I have literally been riding those all my life.
Great review. Thanks DJ Hamlets.😀👌
Those cars have to at least as long as the BMT standards. They remind me of the Expo Express trains in Montreal.
This is my favorite subway! Thanks for the video!
Makes so much memories to 2007 when I unknowingly rode the 1000 series on the WMATA Red Line. RIP 1000 series
Awesome!
Anyone remember that clip from the movie *Speed* ? Also, this car type has the R110B motor
definitely my favorite "subway sound". i can't get enough of that high pitched whine.
And also Volcano movie from 1997
@@tsar_gustav oooh
These trains are older than the R42 R trains here in NYC
So much cleaner or better than MTA Station
Yet somehow the nyc transit is the best subways system in USA
@@Uhhhh_okayyyyyy 😴

Lol well yea, these stations aren't even 40 years old yet where as most mta stations are over 100 years old.
cool train .
Based on the Budd/TransitAmerica 75' "universal" car on the Baltimore Metro.
The front ends kinda have the resemblance of the 2400 Series in Chicago.
