That tech should be fired. Zero issues, no suspension diagnostics, get an alignment done and you can join the 30million other people with lowered cars 😁
@@vivid_racing That's awesome to hear because that definitely scared me off! Thanks for the feedback! Love your content and im modeling my supra after yours lol
Curious, is there any major difference between this spring package over the KW Coilover Kit V3 aside from cost? I like the look of how you did this with springs, but wondering if these won’t last that long. Let me know if I should just save up for the Coils or go for these to get the same results. Thanks in advance!
The ride quality will vary depending on spring dampening settings and other various factors if you choose the KW Coilover Kit V3. The HKS HM Height Adjustable Springs is an amazing alternative to the KWs since you can still adjust the springs just like you can with the Coilovers. Of course, if you want a stiffer and more track-like feel to your driving, the KWs will do the job.
They had to trim the rear wheel well. So would it be best to stick with 19”? To avoid the shedding? Or wheel well roller and stop the rubbing? I’m wondering about 305/30/19 in the rear and 275/30/19 in the front? Just me wondering. I definitely want to get the his coil overs for my a91 but still haven’t figured out the wheel and tyre combo yet. Stock 19” a91 cf wheels are pretty nice.
It’s maybe a few inches shorter than a mustang. Longer wheelbase will take away the maneuverability of the vehicle though. There is a fine balance when it comes to stuff like that.
What’s rims specs and the offset are you running you didn’t mention that in the video. Trying to go 3 piece on the Supra but I’m looking for that aggressive look without wide bodying the car What’s are the sweet spot number to look for

Hey Ethan, we currently have Diamond Black in store! Feel free to check them out - www.vividracing.com/bbs-wheel-package-20x1020x11-diamond-black-diamond-cut-rim-toyota-supra-a90-20202021-p-152792439.html
We would notice a little rubbing under very aggressive cornering or hitting a bad dip in the road. If the springs were a little stiffer it would be perfect. The plastic near the rear bumper did need to be trimmed just slightly.
@@vivid_racing you think it would be best to raise the rears just a fraction of a bit higher? I’m trying to get this exact setup. Thank you if you reach back
@@vivid_racing what part of the plastic on the rear bumper needed to be trimmed exactly? I just ordered the same exact spec BBS LMs in diamond black as well as Hks lowering springs for my Supra. Just want to know what I should trim when installing. Lowering kit and wheels will be installed this Tuesday.
No because the HKS is a sleeve over kit that uses the stock shock. We have both the HKS and the KW available www.vividracing.com/coilovers-c-4210.html?keywords=toyota+supra+a90+sleeve
The ride is great? How much travel is left before you're into the bump stops? Your swapping wheels/tires on a performance machine without taking weights? Posers... ;) You forgot to mention the car now needs an alignment.
Peter McCann hey man it's cool that they might just want a car that makes them happy :/. Obviously you can build a car to race it, or to have it look pretty, maybe both. Whatever you want to do might not always correspond with what other people want, and you're free to do whatever you want to your car, and you're free to share your opinions, but don't attack others that's just not cool.
@@petermccann2561 Whoa Whoa! There is a place for everything. Style and Function. BBS LM has both. The weights for BBS LM can be easily googled. They are light. As far as an alignment goes, yes it was aligned. You want to see a boring alignment video? Before you call people posers, look into their history. I cant call you anything. But have been doing this for 20 years, tracked the hell out of an EVOVIII, Porsche 996 Turbo, driven circuits all over the world, currently own a GT3RS. So chillax.
@@vivid_racing You seem to be assuming I'm upset, which is not the case. Since you have track experience, surely you know the significant impact of the rotating mass factor of wheels as unsprung weight. Wheel weight has a big impact on acceleration, deceleration, and suspension performance. If you know this, and don't bother sharing with your audience, what does that say? Are you of the opinion they're just too clueless to care? This is a sports car, not an SUV. Car guys don't like spending money on mods that make their performance vehicles go slower. Sending folks on a goose chase to try and find a manufacturers weight, on a give wheel size, while you have both sets off the car, is lazy, at best. Why don't you simply add relevant info to make your video more helpful, instead of getting defensive, condescending, and dismissing a viewer with a good point to "chillax"? I suspect a lot of people find out too late that slamming their car and spending money on super low profile tires for a "look" not only ruins the ride on the car on everyday streets, but decreases suspension performance. Probably doesn't take long to figure out, when they immediately start scraping bodywork/chassis on driveway entries and speed bumps. What's next, bouncy low-rider hydraulics? An obnoxious, overly loud exhaust that makes the driver look like an attention hungry spaz? :D
You say it rides good Ok but how does it ride compared to factory . Is it feeling bumpier or stiffer or is able to soak up bumps ? Are you bottoming out on speed bumps ? Everyone is like that gap is too big but if you have to slow down and go 2mph over a stupid speed bump why would you want to make your Supra ride like shit just to make it look 👀
The ride is surprisingly smooth! Speed bumps weren’t an issue really, any lowered vehicle needs to go slow over speed bumps regardless. If you plow over a speed bump at 7mph in a stock Supra you’ll probably bottom out lol
I think you pooched this car. Did you even bother pushing the Supra before butchering its suspension? Cause taking a car that achieved the " Golden Ratios" in 3 different parts of its suspension , and lowering it....... Uhhhhh Not Smart.... My car has been flashed , and i am slowly upgrading towards the turbo, but fucking with my cars suspension just seems like SUCH a mistake.... No respectable driver who has pushed a Supra has not been completely impressed with the handling , and setup of the car. We did plenty of driving on the stock suspension before going with the HKS springs. We didn’t get rid of the factory electronic damping either, that was all retained and fully functioning. The springs lowered the center of gravity which actually improved the handling giving a better steering response when turning into a corner. Alignment also has a big factor in this which is why we corrected it after lowering it.
I never ever saw such a perfect fitment. THIS IS PERFECTION!!!
The HKS lowering springs have given the best fitment compared to everyone else out there! They also ride so smooth
new Supra is gorgeous, definitely would not get lost among supercars,looks-wise. Looks special and I like it better than the new c8 corvette
Thanks!
BBS LM's never go out of style. I'd still run a set of 17's or 18's for road course tracks but that looks hot for street.

The HKS lowering springs ride amazing. Almost like factory, just a tad stiffer which will help prevent rubbing when you lower it

Looking to do same fitment! Any tire rubbing by any chance when doing wide turns ?
Not from what we saw!
God I wish Toyota (or BMW) would release a longwheel base version of the GR Supra. Having a longer wheel base will fix the frumpy look of the car.

Don’t you need alignment after the spring drop?
It is always recommended to do so after any changes with the suspension and tires! Thanks for watching.

Those aren't coil overs. Theyre just touring springs that replace the factory springs to lower it.
