I just got one. Engine is surprisingly good for most all situations. Punchy off the line and never let me down on the highway. Totally worth the price! Yes, small engine, but it also feels premium, is confortable and quiet, has good safety tech, and I love the simple but intuitive infotainment.

I just bought a 25 preferred... And it has all the safety features and all the stuff that comes on the avenir.. and I absolutely love the car... The first thing you notice is how quiet it is inside the cabin... Because it come with active noise cancellation... It took me a little bit of work to get used to driving it because I always had my foot in the turbo trying to make it take off quicker... But once I tailored my driving to the car I started getting about 28 miles per gallon in the city... Very smooth and quiet ride

I think this looks like a great vehicle. I am looking for a quiet riding vehicle at a reasonable price and prefer sedans. With not too many sedans being made this is close enough to a sedan that I like it. I also don't need awd so this should be fine. My only concern is long term reliability. I am now driving a Toyota Sienna I bought new in 2005 that nows has 200,000 miles. Looking for a replacement vehcile and don't need a minivan.
I like the looks and equipment on this car but I'm very leery of that 3cyl engine. Is it going to be 100 and done like so many of these are nowadays? I would like to buy something for the long term as car shopping is getting to be more trouble than it's worth.
I would be curious to hear from new owners, especially on the power and long trip comfort. I understand the smooth ride comments and quiet ride, but honestly.... I have driven motorcycles with larger engines. Just curious about merging onto freeways, etc. (Awaiting local dealers to get one in stock for a test drive)
The turbo adds power but robs miles per gallon on a four cylinder with eight speed transmission. Makes perfect sence to get the same advantages but reduce a cylinder to increase fuel ecconomy. Very intelligent over all what with a fuel tank which holds 13.3 gallons. I had hopes of getting this coupled to two electric motors and part time engine assist, but here in IL we have terribly cold conditions that reduce battery’s performance. And the more accessories at work, wipers, heat…not to mention heat from the heater core of the engine when the battery is unable to support so many accessories; the android apple car play, the brake assists and sensors, heated steering; heated seats; front and rear defrosters, plus heated mirrors; climate control, wipers; occasional power windows, collision avoidance systems running; engine sensors, all require electric power and in cold weather can drain the life of the battery and thus reduce battery efficiency over time and ruins mpg’s. Better to have the prefered without the perks involved in the prefered to increase miles per gallon and less drain on the alternator to recover the drain on the battery than to have problems down the road. Every one wants All wheel drive and unless one has a lease it will cost a fortune in areas where it is not neccessary to need such drive trains unless one lives in areas of green land or Alaska or Siberia. Overall Buick’s decission not to have an all wheel drive version of the Envista makes scense. Originally, I wanted a Toyota Prius but could not find one with enough ground clearance, as i reside in an area prone to flooding. And the Rav Four is not in my price range, including insurance. I concidered other models but I like that this Buick comes with under body panels to prevent intrusion from animals seeking shelter inside my engine bay & chewing on the engines hoses and insulated wire harnesses. I hope this is standard on the Envista?
This paint color is about an $1100 option on the bottom two trims, this and the ST. And a $600 option on the Avenir. Even paying the $1100 to put this paint on the base trim makes that vehicle look $4k more expensive on the outside. Change my mind.
Seems like this has some sort of convenience package or something ? Maybe I missed that in video but seems like it based on the other features like remote start.

Very nice design I love the fact that it doesn't have a rear windshield wiper problem is they lost me when they said it's not all wheel drive you could have kept the sunroof and kept the heated steering wheel Engage The People all-wheel drive too bad it was almost perfect. All-wheel drive is always better and will always sell before a two-wheel drive, probably a better resale value too
That is a great question. I don't know of anyone who has driven it in the snow yet but since it is not available with AWD, I don't know if it would do as well as it would if it did offer AWD.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video why is the rear wiper blade gone here in the white snowing north it's handy, stupid, here winter tires are better than awd unless you live in a non winter place only honda and subaru are experts in cvt, fyi hyundai and kia is eliminating the sunglasses holder for 2024 lol
Good review and a modern looking car. Having everything open in the initial walk around view makes no sense to me, though. It’s actually a turnoff. I was glad to see you close it up to go from a messy wreck look to show Envista’s nice clean lines.
And the dealer puts black pinstripes on it🙄. The only thing I don't care for is that chrome accent trim on the roof line. Otherwise it is a really nice looking vehicle even in base trim here.
That black plastic trim on the wheel arches makes the wheel wells look gigantic. The gap is already huge, why accentuate it? They make it look like one of those stupidly lifted trucks.
That much slope on the rear window without a wiper is a problem when in traffic and its raining. You'll have limited visibility out the rear. As far as value...it seems to be $2K more than the like equipped Chevy Trax. I think Chevy wins that battle.
I am concerned about car makers removing Driver Door Reflectors or lighted interior lamp that enguages when driver door is opened in high traffic areas. To alert drivers before tearing the door off. Even entering or exiting vehicle, some added visability to prevent an ambush by a car jacker at night. (Guess this is not a problem in Louisiana.) I suppose i can get some reflective tape to apply to the door jam and perhaps a bicycle reflector or red LED stick on light.
If it's just the driver and a passenger most all the time, this engine is just fine. What do you expect for a brand new car with this nice "different" look with all those features for $26K? (how about rear seat vents, I know, right?)

3 years, 36 000 miles. Probably the worst warranty available.
Tbh i do 95% city so big hp isn't a priority. At this point in my life, limiting driver fatigue is key for long drives
