Yea like he used the same r1 attack multiple times aswell? This person is playing a mage, using spells is how a mage is played and of course he is going to use the strongest spell he has available. Mages are also not meant to fight melee fighters up close because the huge stat investment needed to play mage effectively means you can't afford to trade with the melee classes as they have a lot more HP than you do. This mage is clearly unskilled and bad with positioning but he was not playing dishonorable at all.

This plus spamming BHS creates a braindead combo and makes this a war of attrition. These types of battle end when the mage ran out of flask, making it a time thing and not a skill thing. To the invaded, this is just a complete waste of time.

Can quick swap up to 3 items in each hand, but it's more likely that if you just sugar talk them up they'll thank you, bow politely, and then return home

If you have a good connection you can dodge SoR without taking damage. You should roll to the side 3 times and that's it. You have to wait for the spell to reach you before rolling ofc. It's actually pretty easy, you just have to manage your stamina well if they are spamming it.
Idk why everyone says it’s mages that are the crazy op class, I agree they do big damage but in my experience, my first playthrough and pvp experience was as mage, I hit hard and it felt great. But then I started getting countered by barrier of gold and Erdtree greatshield. So I made a faith build to see how it is, and my god I’ve never legitimately one shot people with 1 spell so much in my life. Not only are all the ultimate-style spells such as Dragon cult and communion basically all one shots just by themselves, but also all the weapons are crazy good too. I know moonveil exists and it’s annoying but sacred relic Sword has the stupidest hit boxes and it’s crazy spammable especially in the colosseums. Idk man imo faith build not only have even harder hitting spells but also have all the counters against mages. Faith op.
I haven’t played Elden Ring yet (can’t find any console on store shelves besides the Oculos, not kidding) but even I know not to disrespect the bow, even though I can’t do one in Dark Souls, I just watch till they’re ready

It's because most mage players spam the same spell... that I decide to main the Carian Slicer. No one ever expects me to willingly go into melee after I cast one or two ranged spells.
Another thing you could have figured out that there is multiple people is height people tend to ignore this detail but if someone is shorter or taller then the other person and you can remember their height then you can come up with the conclusion that more than one person is doing the job
The mage is maidenless, but you are brainless for chasing a bhs user and face tanking stars. Look for a tree stump or sth against stars of ruin and let him waste his blue, as soon as he runs out he is dead since bhs users can't roll. Patience always wins.
Healing is a core mechanic of the game. In Sea of Thieves, why would I not repair my ship if it has holes? If I get invaded, you better believe I'm gonna do all I can to stay alive and win. No healing in ER is just as bad of a rule as "rule #1" in Rocket League.
Lol is this your first From Soft game? The no healing rule has been a thing since Demon’s Souls. It makes fights way more tense, forces you to think. But really its only a rule in honorable duels, which can only take place if both parties bow to eachother and allow each other to buff.
I wish that all spells were useful in pvp and pve equally. But unless enemies get as complicated as players, spells will never be even. It still hurts to only see one to two spells used. There are a bunch that that are fun to use to catch a player off guard.
