Funny thing is I have the same car in the same color with 178k. It is my second one and my first one I had for 19.5yrs and had 362,000 miles and it was garage kept and clean. Got wrecked in 2019. Got this other one for $500.00 fixed most of the problems. Also has the bumper problem and just replaced the valve pan gasket and sparkplugs and seals. Timing belt and water pump changed, spark plugs, starter, one axle steering rods, Vehicles speed sensor, Air charge Temperature sensor on the exhaust manifold( a must), all the fan sensors/ switches, thermostat, radio, and also had to replace the transmission because the previous owner messed it up when he spun out one axle. Found a used transmission with 64000 miles that was taken from a wrecked car back in 1998 that was on the shelf since then. Got it for $200. Got to do an alignment now and will straight pipe it and also think about spraying it over as the paint been almost removed. If I didn;t know this car it would have been sold. After only spending $1200 the most on my first one, I'm up at least $2500 on this one. But it made me $30.000 in one year doing deliveries so I would say it was worth it! When working properly, these cars are very good on gas even though they use premium. I won't recommend putting any other gas in there as you will see why!
BTW they are importing the Honda vigors from Japan so these cars may be worth a pretty penny real soon

I have a 1992 have had it since 1993. I’m still in love. Scrubbed the wheels and tires today. I need a paint man. Every time I leave it with a mechanic I get two things a bill and something else wrong. My paint faded because they left it under a tree leaves and rain took off the clear coat. These last people messed up the driver door handle and charged me way too much.

I own a 92 and that’s very low miles for that thing. They’re very reliable and will serve you well. They do have common issues which being oil leaks. Primarily the distributor and valve cover. Besides that I know that the automatics are rather weak but I am still on the original one with 170k miles and I’ve seen them with 400k miles. Keep up with the maintenance and you sir have an amazing car.

Hey there the leak you mentioned at 5:34 is actually the distributor not the valve cover gasket. You can still get the individual seals for the distributor so no need to buy a new one

Thanks for the info. I wasn't entirely sure if it was the valve cover to begin with, but I wanted to get it refreshed either way. Would you happen to know a website that has the seal in stock?
