I think the most strange thing about this is just the fact that we got another movie video game. These used to be everywhere and now this is like the first one I’ve seen in a hot minute
The reason we got a Silent Hill 2 remake is because Konami will only allow their games to be remade if it coincides with a movie they're going to release.
We literally have sonic cannons on cruise ships that are used to incapacitate pirates. Using sonic weaponry against them should not have been some revelation
Most cities have them too because riots I and a group of others protesting were threatened with them as recently as 2018 so the fact that cities at all were so incapable of defense was wild to me
@@ledzik1893 Exactly. Indestructible armor doesn't protect against a shockwave that liquidates organs. Or the countless biological and chemical weapons we keep for a rainy day
I don't like how convenient asthma is in games now, I have asthma and I know mines not THAT bad compared to most but there are so many different types of asthma you can't really just go: Sacred yep asthma attack, some dust you know it asthma attack, bright lights well you know damn well thats an asthma attack. Additional notes which are just pointless to make cause its just a game: if the asthma is THAT bad you would be given a preventer and reliever (Brown and blue) so manage it. I know people who have also gone up a tier so to say that they had purple and white inhalers, and the purple is some amp reliever. Just wanted to gripe about this
I also have asthma including my mother, mine isn't that bad my mother's is not that severe but could be triggered by extreme cold and certain smells. Max's asthma attacks seem like panic attacks to me, instead of a asthma attack. I apologize if I got anything wrong since, I'm not that familiar of what triggers panic attacks but know what they are. but I also assume that Max also suffers from anxiety, which also might have triggered her asthma causing her to frequently have attacks
Same. Horror games are giving us asthma sufferers a bad name. I have asthma and even I can run longer than some horror characters do trying to sprint away from a basic zombie😂
I can't get past the way her -husband- boyfriend died; yet another character whose best play is screaming to senselessly sacrifice yourself. That was the dumbest part of the first movie, and it's even worse here. If these things can be attracted by a dropped inhaler, you can make them dance with some rocks and the hood of a car.
Either you're assuming the death angel is gonna push away her husband and attack her or you think death angels have a faster reaction speed than they actually do
@@prgstev And he had enough time to run away when he could've simply thrown whatever he had on him. Like the bag. Really, carrying a bunch of rocks or other throwables as distractions should be standard in this setting.
This might be a good theory, in day one we see the military already mobilized in New York with helicopters flying over, military vehicles driving by possibly setting up safe zones and blockades, and jets flying by. My theory is that the government knew about the asteroids and possibly the death Angels as NASA could have detected them and not alert the public as it would cause panic and chaos.
I feel like of the government would have known 1bout the meteors they would intercept it the moment they would saw the creatures attached to the meteor
I was watching a streamer playing through the game, and he commented on how the characters in game are so stupid, that almost every decisions they made, should not have been a thing to begin with given their predicament. And I kinda agreed.
You know, before the death angel were called death angel, i just been calling them Silencers, because if they hear you, they make you go silent forever.
So these creatures came from a planet that exploded, some of these creatures survived the explosion of a planet somehow and rode the rocks through their home galaxy and into the milky way... What did they eat? If the planet had no star then the planet had to be very cold so how do they survive the temperature of earth? If they were the apex predators did they eat themselves? There are so many questions to be asked and answered
I never got the New York thing. If the city that 'never sleeps' is at a constant scream, then why would they care? Wouldn't the waterfall/natural sounds thing apply? I don't see them destroying every tree and bush that rustles...
I think they needed to learn what sounds on earth are “ambient” non-species threats or environmental, and what sounds are prey, potential threats, or anything alive? Their hearing is so sensitive that sounds may sound completely different to them than it does to us. I think what bothers me is why are they so insanely aggressive towards other organisms? Are the sounds on earth = Hostile to them? Could be that the plot is just to thrill the player/audience
Horror movie logic. In a practical scenario, a constant 90db would be the equivalent to constant flashbangs to these creatures. Basically rendering them senseless from the start if the meteor impact doesn't kill them first thanks to basic principles of energy transfer
@PsychicStones She didn't distract the Death Angel on Day one, it took Robert and she was the only one able to fix the radio tower because her dad was injured.
I feel like everyone is too quick to pin all the blame on Alex and Alex alone. Laura and Martin wouldn’t even be alive without her shooting during the car chase (don’t say Robert could’ve done it, the game-over scene doesn’t paint a good picture), and she had at least some good reasoning to leave the hospital (next to no supplies left). The game’s message is the same as the first film: everyone is to blame, so there’s no use pinning it.
or the multiple tanks and plance armed with much powerful amunition, but in general the entire " the quite place" death angel gimic is so badly created, like the humanity could have just used the damn fighter jets to cause then very delicate ear drums for those beast to burst from the sound but like all apocaliptic movies the military is damn incompetent

Of all of the issues that this game has narratively, feeling threatened that Laura wants to kill Alex is ridiculous, especially since her baby would be a part of her and Martin.
She didn’t want to kill her. She wanted to keep her from making any bad decisions that put her grandchild in danger. Hence why she locked her in her room. As the father said, she wasn’t in a stable frame of mind after Martin’s death.
Alex totally got her bf kebabed! First she's unable to to accomplish the " titanic" feat of getting over a fallen tree then managed to blew the " complex" function of holding things with your hand.
i like the quiet place movies and the game looks like a great addition but the death angels are similar to the xenomorphs in that they make no sense as a naturally evolved creature.
It’s so funny to me how we literally have technology to precisely evaporate entire city blocks to not more than dust, cannons and guns that penetrate METERS of armor, laser weapons that MELT METALS, sonic weapons that DESTROY things on a structural level, drones, sound systems, decoys, flashbangs for god’s sake that would probably rupture the hearing systems of these creatures. Man, a single tank could probably take out a whole swarm of these things from a distance, and if the close in - too bad, there are 70 tons of armor protecting the crew, and that armor is strong enough to withstand high caliber auto cannons that would turn these aliens into minced meat without so much as scratching the tanks. Send out a drone blasting music into the field, gather all of them, and then drop a MOAB or a nuke on them if needed. No amount of armor would protect them and their precious meat inside from sheer explosive force and the subsequent sound and pressure waves that would literally turn the insides of these monsters into meat paste. That’s just a few examples. And yet somehow, the entire military might of the world just couldn’t figure out how to kill these guys, and all it took was some sound shenanigans and a bullet to the NOT VERY PROTECTED head. Don’t get me wrong, I loved the first and the second movies (haven’t watched Day One), but the universe and the explanation as to why monsters are so strong is just beyond dumb. This is genuinely one of the least believable end of the world scenarios out there: it’s not a virus or parasite that takes over humans from within, it’s not a technologically superior race of beings, it’s not some mythical ethereal being with magic powers - it’s a race of feral armored monkeys with super hearing and chitin armor that go after all the noise sources that a deaf girl and her mom with a shotgun were able to defeat in their basement (literally). Ffs, a single carrier strike group of the US Navy is enough to take over a small country anywhere in the world all by itself, and US alone has 11 of them. And we’ve seen how well these creatures fare with water Cats, for example, have amped hearing. Have you ever seen how a cat behaves during a thunderstorm? Or when you make a very loud sound? They get disoriented and scared. Now amplify that by 10000 - and you get Death Angels. As someone else pointed out already, they would either go absolutely insane at every single sound and couldn’t focus on anything in large cities and would literally try to attack waterfalls and trees, or they would just ignore the area with too much sound pollution. Meaning any large city, a military base with loud speakers, factory, highways - everything about humanity would make these aliens non functional. They’d just become the apex predator of the WILD, but humanity would exterminate them the same way we exterminated every single other creature that hunted us. Those scenes from Day One movie where all of the monsters are in one group making mayhem make no sense because they would all just distract each other and attack all the things that they themselves touch, throw, move etc. again, if waterfalls is enough to completely mask the area for those monsters to where the humans can safely live and talk because the aliens just wouldn’t go there - then the first thing humans and the military would do is start blasting waterfall sounds from every loud speaker and that’s it. I love apocalyptic movies like these ones, but The second you apply any logic from the real world, it all falls apart. All these directors severely underestimate the military and humanity’s ability to adapt. Yeah, a lot of us would die, but there are 8 BILLIONS of us. We legit could probably defeat those monsters in hand to hand combat if all of us went against all of them.
Good question, I understand the ones already being pregnant... but the ones that are pregnant already in this situation are hilarious... like, WHY?! Can't you see the world is going to hell already 😅
Reproduction is the primary instinctual directive of every animal on planet Earth. If humans didn't have babies while things were dangerous, our species would have died out a few million years ago.
Yeah... The designers of the creature kinda name them "Happy" I'm not joking on that cuz how the creatures smiled when they opened the shell on their head. Like you mansion why can't it be called "The Listeners" or just call them what the fans calls them the "Death Angels".
I wish they'd do small epilogues after the game/movie ends with a "lived happily ever after" ending to show how their lives changed. This game and Maze Runner are examples I can think of right now. Cool game and video tho.
ive only seen the quiet place prequel, and because of it I now think the whole premise is wildly dumb and that the aliens aren't an existential threat to humans. In reality the aliens are almost as pathetic as the aliens from After Earth
For as much as I like the idea of the Quiet Place, the actual logistics of aliens that have a practically indestructible outer shell, blind, and have super sensitive hearing which doubles as the main terror of them and their biggest weakness, makes it hard to believe humanity would ever be brought down by these creatures, especially to the point of a post apocalyptic scenario. I also just kind of find the whole asthma and panic attacks from Alex during some segments to really test my nerves at times cause like… those just serve to make surviving harder
It's always odd how fiction writers have less creativity than people developing weapons in the real world. The creatures having armor would definitely be an issue but it's not like the concept of armor (created or animal) is wholly unknown to humans and it's not like we haven't developed weapons to deal with it.

Thanks for the summary! It looked interesting. As much as the general vibe is good, hell even the design of the aliens is good, them being 'immune to bullets' is incredibly stupid. And you're telling me that no one who figured out that they were hyper sensitive to sound thought "hey, what if we use sound as a weapon?" The whole worldbuilding of this series is just..dumb. Like the pseudoscience explanation they offer is so dumb.
i already watched the game but it is also nice for someone to tell or explain the story. but i feel like an open world game of the quite place could be cool maybe thats just me
I feel like in the game, EVERYONE is so quick to blame Alex, she's the freaking scapegoat of their misery when all she was trying to do so far was to survive! Hell, she's just in her twenties, she's barely a adult, she's not a full fledged survivalist, dare me to say that in her situation, you would have made better decisions, you wouldn't, we never could have done better than her with how terrified we would be with so much at stake
honestly it's a shame how.. contrived a lot of the scenarios are. other commenters have pointed out how incredibly stupid and inaccurate the "asthma" mechanic is and how they play it exactly like a game mechanic rather than with any thought to how it actually affects someone, but honestly my biggest "oh ho this is a video game" gripe is that sound monitoring device thing. if you use just a bit of your brain, how the hell does that device work?! how could it possibly separate "environmental" noise levels from "personal" noise levels?? it only has a single locus of input, being the device itself?! it's kind of disappointing how "fuck it yeah that works" lots of stuff in this game is
These aliens travelled through space with zero oxygen, came to earth, and now they can drown? I think the story would have been better if there were other aliens who created these things, just to give more depth to the story.
Didn't even think about that, but seeing how they dont need oxygen or anything it would be less like drowning and more like sinking to the bottom because their bodies are so dense (and heavy). So.. technically they would just walk back out of the water like nothing happened.
Are we sure Alex wasn’t the real Death Angel? Her mere presence took out half of the cast alone.

Great sounding game!
Do you think you'll cover No more room in hell 2 if you ever get the chance?
I'm loving this game 😊
Can’t wait till the LORE update for Alan Wake and Control with the Lake house DLC
I'd love a survival game in the world of A Quiet Place
Woooooh!
Can u do a story explain on the fatal frame games please
The story is about as tense as waiting for microwave popcorn to be done. It's not tense at all.
are you going to do a video on the lake house dlc for alan wake 2? or is it too small for you to cover it? (night springs was bigger)
The funny thinck if aliens only landed in amerika that is a skill issue for usa😂
Yo, Harry. Would you know by the top of your head the name of the bg song you used?
Soooo exhausted of the pregnancy trope. I really wish they'd think of anything else.
i already watched the game but it is also nice for someone to tell or explain the story. but i feel like an open world game of the quite place could be cool maybe thats just me
Really got tired of the repetitiveness of the missions
Are there any Easter eggs about the characters from the films like Samira and Erica…or the Abbott family
I feel like in the game, EVERYONE is so quick to blame Alex, she's the freaking scapegoat of their misery when all she was trying to do so far was to survive! Hell, she's just in her twenties, she's barely a adult, she's not a full fledged survivalist, dare me to say that in her situation, you would have made better decisions, you wouldn't, we never could have done better than her with how terrified we would be with so much at stake
...Do you mean Alex?
@@matchahoy oh shit you're right XD
Death angels vs space marines
SEATED QUEITLRY WITH A PLATE
Please do a Silent Hill 2 explanation
I thought silent hill 2 remake is the next video😢
Im suprised you didn’t do the dead space series
Yet
Man this game is scary
Asthma? Really…thats the best they could think of?
Games are scarier when you can actually fight back these games get boring after a hour or so
honestly it's a shame how.. contrived a lot of the scenarios are. other commenters have pointed out how incredibly stupid and inaccurate the "asthma" mechanic is and how they play it exactly like a game mechanic rather than with any thought to how it actually affects someone, but honestly my biggest "oh ho this is a video game" gripe is that sound monitoring device thing. if you use just a bit of your brain, how the hell does that device work?! how could it possibly separate "environmental" noise levels from "personal" noise levels?? it only has a single locus of input, being the device itself?! it's kind of disappointing how "fuck it yeah that works" lots of stuff in this game is
If harry no kiss I leave.
Is the Quiet place Game connected with the Movie timeline
Wonder if Harry will do the New Until dawn Remake ?
Hey harry can you do entry story of need for speed payback plsss
These aliens travelled through space with zero oxygen, came to earth, and now they can drown? I think the story would have been better if there were other aliens who created these things, just to give more depth to the story.
Didn't even think about that, but seeing how they dont need oxygen or anything it would be less like drowning and more like sinking to the bottom because their bodies are so dense (and heavy). So.. technically they would just walk back out of the water like nothing happened.
