I appreciate the end advice about do what you actually like. Just getting out of school for game art felt confusing, because they wanted us to know all types (pbr vs stylized) which was nice for knowledge, but no one really tells you to make yourself happy. The most common topic discussed is how sellable are you, and those thoughts can override the joy and curiosity art is supposed to have. Thank you for pointing out a happy artist is very important!
Yep! Schools and other educational establishments prepare us being a good workers, part of mechanism with zero experience. But you always should remember about the joy of life, and your job is huge part of your life! I met so many Artists who went doing realistic PBR, because other guys told them it's a better niche... While they always loved Stylized... Making a job you don't like will get you to burnouts 10x faster
@@ZugZugArt the worst burnout because you dont even care about what burned you out… really hope you can make that 1k in likes! Interested in hearing more! 🙏
Seems like that kind of content is really helpful in our days. I already had bunch of ideas for next video, more about getting a job, what hr wanna see, and so on...
My opinion: Only use IP logos if you actually worked on the project. If your Fan Art has the IP logo in the thumbnail and the artwork itself doesn't hit the mark. It's not a good look to recruiters. D:
I dont think so u can say that to every portfolio piece if it dosnt hit the mark its not a good look either. And doing fanart and make ur own twist of it says u are invested in their IP so in my opinion a plus u just shouldnt make ur whole portfolio a fanart fiesta
If this video hits 1k likes, I gonna do more content like this one! Thanks for watching guys! :)

Amazing! Nice video per usual
thank you whts the dimension of art station thumbnail showcase ?
It's alright to shout out/represent someone with their logo or logo of software you used to make your work. While logos for fanart are more tricky :)
Hello, do you recommend procreate for texturing hand painted style model?
Can't say about procreate, never used it and saw someone of my team members or anyone close using it :|

Yeah, make sense.
But If your works doesn't hit the quality bar, that's already a bad situation :)
the constant sound effects make this hard to listen to
Ohh... I see, gonna lower that sound in the next video! Really appreciate for mentioning it!
