- I went out for an overnight backpacking trip in Crawford Notch, New Hampshire.
I hit the 4,000 footer peaks of Willey and Field and spent the night at the Ethan Pond Campsite.
The side trip to Thoreau Falls was amazing!

That's a really nice spot. It's really cool that the nonprofit kids were respectful and quiet. Props to them. I'm sure your presence was something of a benchmark for them to aspire to. Respect ✊
Hey Nahamsha, thanks for creating and making videos for all us backpackers! Your videos are so soothing to watch and I really appreciate them. Thanks!
im so glad I found your chan. I lived in the MWV for over 25 years and just recently moved to mid-coast maine, so seeing those mountains, valleys and the beauty of my old stomping grounds is amazing and nostalgic for me, thank you! ( p.s. Most locals call it "Willie" like when you get the willies - supposedly thats where the saying actually came from due to the sad story of the Willey's and a massive mudslide/landslide in 1826)
Glad you had a nice hike. Love to see your spooky moments. Solo wood venturing whether hiking or hunting can cause it.
Taylor, I really appreciate that you talk to us as though you're talking to friends-- very natural chit chat. I like that you can admit when you're nervous and even tell us when there are things you DON'T like about a trail.or situation. It keeps it real, and helps me to learn from you.
Please keep hiking and making videos. I have learned a lot from you! Thankyou.
Happy for you getting out there, feeling more better :) keep getting after it. And taking us with you. Thank you.
Ethan Pond is soo peaceful. My buddy and I stayed up there a few winters ago.
And Thoreau falls might be the best hidden gem in the whites. At least from what I've been to so far. Nice to see these spots again after not being up there in awhile
Taylor is carrying hiking RUclips videos on her shoulders!
HUH?

Beautiful trail! Glad to hear that the group was quiet and respectful. I know when I see a large group, I get a little leery that they may be loud, and it's hit or miss. I love the quiet of a solo trip!
Great little adventure for you - and thank you for noticing and recording the "small things" along the way... makes the whole thing a richer experience for a viewer.
Forgot about Ethan Pond. Spent some magical nights there. Such a unique place. Thanks!
You always post grade A videos, Taylor. Like a good movie, they're made with the viewer in mind. I enjoyed the hike & commentary. Looking forward to our next walk in the woods.
Taylor; you are a great Ambassador for New Hampshire; thanks for showing the beauty of that state. Also, watching your videos is so pleasing; very genuine. Keep hiking and best of luck in your upcoming wedding.
I appreciate that!
Loved the slowmo too, at @13:31.
Thanks Taylor for ur vids showcasing the Whites! The cameos of the snake, toad, bird! At 4:00, summit snickers!
As a mom I feel so nervous for you sometimes with these solo hikes; I can't help it, especially the one you did with the dog awhile back..My husband and I are in our 50s and started hiking. We love your videos. We did Mt.Willard recently and will soon do Mt.Pierce. We're from NJ, we love NH!
I did that loop a few weeks ago in the opposite direction, came down the stupid ladders on Wiley, great footage!
Me and my friend snowshoed to Ethan Pond in March of 97'. I was pulling a snow sled with all my gear. It was around 10 degrees F. Great trip!
Of all that I’ve seen from your work this is the best video!😊 thank you!
I'm glad I'm not the only person who could not figure out how to pronounce Willey. Loved those ladders though!
Great video! Love the outdoors and love backpacking, just don’t get to do it as often as I’d like. Nice to watch others out in nature. Watched your whole AT trip, was like daily therapy!
Always go with your gut feeling about a place. Nice views
Beautiful scenery. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thank you for sharing all your adventures!! Definitely want that book
Those gray jays are fun birds!Crawford Notch is one of my favorites.
Unfortunately my hiking buddy pup is scheduled to have a knee surgery (TPLO) and can’t hike this summer or probably this fall. I am so impressed you will do an overnight alone.
Taylor you seriously live in paradise and I appreciate you taking us along. Happy trails 🤘🏻🥾🏕
That looked like an interesting hike with the ladders, waterfall, beautiful pond and views. Your weather also seemed great and the bugs didn’t seem too bad. Great job capturing it all in your video!
It was beautiful! Going into it, I wasn't sure what the views and sights would be like but I was pleasantly impressed!
Spectacular awesome beautiful hiking and scenery, all the very best.
Absolutely love the videos!
Beautiful video Taylor! Love the birds eating out of your hand!!! 😝👍❤️⛺️🏔⛰🏕
Just beautiful, thanks for sharing... have fun
That’s cool I was up at Frankenstein cliff on Sunday. Crawford notch is gorgeous!
Thanks for buzzing us through part of the Whites! A dangerous mountain range by all accounts.
Taylor, I think there is a scam going on your channel. They wanted financial info on telegram for shipping on an alleged prize I won. Nobody should give that, plus winners shouldn't have to pay after winning.
What a great hike, yay! I remember the A-Z trail. It needs more hikers or more maintenance. Oh well. You made it!
It is good to see you hiking again. :-)
This is very similar to the trip I did in early June. Did Zealand then WFT by starting my loop at the Zealand parking. Stayed at Ethan Pond as well. Looks like you had a great trip too.
What a beautiful area. Thanks for sharing.
Nice video. I watched Paris in America hike the Cohos Trail in HN. It seems like a trail that you might enjoy. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
Heading up to Jefferson a little over a week from now and plan on stopping at your shop on the way up!
Great video! Some stunning scenery along there.
Thanks!
Nice Trenzas ! Glad I subscribed. And I learn much! Very motivating.
What a great video Taylor! So good to see you back on trail 👏👏👏
Thanks so much!!
Great video. Thank you so much.
Glad you enjoyed it!
❤️ You picked a beautiful place to hike.. wow
Passing the a-z trail on my way to zealand was so tempiting! Can’t wait
Love your videos! Thank you!
Incredible!
thanks!
You are a great ambassador of the Whites....sad you can 't get a hiking buddy. Hiking alone is dangerous, but you seen to take precautions.
I'm not sad about it!
Cool.
I was there a couple weekends ago bagging Willey! One of these times I'll bump into you out there!
Great video you inspire me everyday
A beautiful trip.
It was!
I’d like too make videos but setting up cameras and walking and going back too get them takes up time. That’s why I watch them haha. Nice job on this one.
Love your glasses
Thank you…
The Nomadik boxes are fun to get…it’s interesting to see what new products come each month and the theme of it. I stopped the monthly and went with the quarterly now….
nice!
Hiked this area and those hills some years ago, before the ladders on the Willey Range Trail were there. It was kinda sketchy going up that grade and there were few options when I got near the top - had to jump over to a small 'ledge; from the top of that grade. There were also, at that time, some serious 'widow-makers' along that same trail, before the ladders. And, by the way, it's usually pronounced Willey - as in silly. Nice video. Thanks for sharing, but I'm not completely certain what sort of a 'loop' you did(which trails). I'm guessing you went from the Willey Range Trail turning left on the A - Z Trail, turned left on the AT and continued past the junction that leads to the Zealand Falls Hut, hiking below and past Whitewall, ending up at the campsite. Unfortunately, I'm too damned old to hike/backpack any more - sure do miss it.
I love the Grey Jay's. We have them here in Utah too.
They're awesome!
I agree. Let others clear out the moose, bear and spiderwebs on the trails before leaving camp😄
Not sure which one I like the most, the spider webs, the black fly that follows you for 3/4 of the time or the Nats that try to eat my eyelids. 🕸️
I went hiking with my Labrador retriever some years back and getting to the ladder section someone asked me how will your dog get up those ladders? Well, I hadn't thought about that so I had to pick up my 60 lb dog and take her up the ladders. Back down from my pack and return was quite the effort. That day was not a hike smarter not harder day.
Your videos are inspiring and I'm sure I've watched every single one of them more than once. I love hiking also! Thank you! As a father of 6 daughters, where is your husband? Possibly camera shy but right behind you?
🦋
Love your videos 📸 Ken NC
thanks ken!
I know this is a suggestion that is pretty time consuming in the editing process but I'd love it if you could cut in a map with your route outlined when you talk about navigation or your plan. So that one can see it pictured while you talk! :) For example around 1:22
I ❤️ an overnight with a nero as day 2!
i had a whole day ahead of me!
Thanks for the content. That looked like a vey peaceful hike. I feel like I recognized the narrow bridge or whatever it is called from a previous video though there are probably miles of that. I bought some fruit gushers after watching you eat so many. I really enjoy candy but those things are a sticky gooey mess. How do you clean up on trail while eating those?
👋🏻
Hello I don’t have a backpack set but I do have car camping stuff I’d there away to park the car and go to the site with out a hassle
Glad I'm not the only one afraid of things.
Hmm.. I’m at the point in my hiking life that I prefer to avoid the trails you like.. The shame is that many trails that don’t end at a peak you can post about on Facebook are in danger of going extinct.. there’s even a section of the AT that skirts around Madison that feels like it’s being reclaimed by the krumholtz.
I love your sunglasses! Can you share a link?
thanks!

Beautiful … great video! Was it a weekday?
It was today! Haha
Living in Alaska, I'm terrified of bears, especially hiking alone. Luckily y'all don't have grizzlies, but it's the black bears I'm really worried about. I hate the weight, but could never do these without bear spray!
At least here in NH, the black bears are generally harmless, and prefer not to be bothered. If you come face to face with one, they will head in the other direction. Two exceptions are a mother with cubs, or if they feel challenged while eating.... then you do your best to avoid them. Most people don't bother with bear spray in these parts, because it generally isn't needed.
I ❤️ the black bears in NJ. I usually say, “Hey, buddy!” & they look at me & trot off.. 🐻
What watch do you hike with & why? Thx.
I love your sunglasses! Do you know the brand / style?
They are from Blenders!
What kind of watch do you have, seen it on your videos would love to have one like that.
i have the coros apex pro
Can't say as I blame you.
The wilderness is not the issue.
It's knuckleheads.
Can I ask you what your start date was when you thru hiked the at

How many tent platforms at Ethan Pond?
About 6
@@TaylortheNahamshaHiker Thanks
Do you need reserve a campsite?
No you can't reserve a spot
@@TaylortheNahamshaHiker so just directly go the campsite , and find a spot? What if there is no spot? Or spot is occupied?
@@lzma636 yes, you just head there. Sometimes there's a caretaker there to help you find a spot, but it's first come first serve
@@TaylortheNahamshaHiker thanks, nice video
do you ever get lost
You should invest in the 360 degree camera
That'd be neat!
I feel so bad your partner is almost never with ya. Doesnt that bother u a little?
No, I prefer solo
