Within the king gizzard discography this is not that underrated. This medley is considered one of their greatest works. I'll agree with you if you meant in general, King Gizz doesn't get the attention it deserves.
can we take a moment to appreciate the bonkers harmonica work here, though? like, the rehearsal. "Okay, we need two drummers. Do guys have your kits set up?" "I'm on the twelve-string, but we're going to need like two other guitarists, at least." "Ambrose, we're gonna ne-" "no. it is harmonica time. there is no other way."
This is just ridiculously good. I've been listening to this like 40-50 times over the last 3 years and it never gets old nor repetitive. Long live The Gizz, best rock band of our time.
Not just "our time", though that is true, it doesn't give them the credit they actually deserve. These guys can, go head to head with damn near any of the "classic rock" legends and hold their own. Their discography already surpasses many of their contemporaries.
i think the 1 guitar players guitar says give head or got head maybe fat head lol but yeah these guys are great beats the snot out of the puke they play here on fm here in d.c. nowadays.
King Gizzard do such a good job of retaining the studio quality they have on records when they perform live. And honestly I think they make some of the shit sound way better live (this being a prime example) God bless these Australians
My grandson told me about the Gizz at the beginning of the pandemic. They got me through and I am still listening. I must have listened to this video a hundred times. Time well spent!!!!!
Man I listened to like over half of their discography before even checking out Mind Fuzz, then when I first played it I really didn't care for it. Now it's my favorite album of all time. For some reason that happens to me a lot with their albums though. Before that it was Nonagon, and before Nonagon it was Microtonal Banana. Weird.
Seriously about the best thing I have ever listened to. Your lucw shows are incredible, your music and enthusiasm are highly addictive and inspiring. KGATLW make the world a better place!
This is so much better than the studio version (not to disrespect Stu's mixing capabilities) but this shit is just so raw and full of life and I love it.
@@robyn051 No I know. He mixes all the shit they play on KEXP. I just mean like, I don't mean to knock the talent and hard work put into the album versions of these songs bc they're amazing but this medley is one of the greatest things they've ever done. IMO.
Seems the albums sound intentionally shitty, like an old record, I don't get it, I agree this type of mixes are so much better, The River on the album sounds terrible IMO
Best band in this forsaken century. Also the best album along Nonagon. What a trip. Listening in the vynil it's something else. Too bad "Am I in Heaven" is not there.
I love the embellishments Stu throws around, typically high notes with lots of echo ... just one more thing that makes the music more awesome. Long live KGLW.
i listen to this album so fucking often, nothing really can match the energy of the drums and bass driving the fuck out of the song while the rest of the gang rips around on the guitars and harmonica

A king gizzard song only ends once a drummer collapses or the singer gags on the microphone.
hahahahaha
+indahood1108 haha legend
they have 2 drummers ahah
Or kenny fades out.
Vitor Cavalheiro if one dies the other goes strong
Bruh I’ve probably listened to this no exaggeration like 1000 times and it still just as fresh as the first
rookie numbers!
we thought they had millions of listeners, no turns out just 11 of us on repeat.
I just wrote and almost exact comment without even seeing yours!!
bruh ya dude wah yuh
What’s your favorite?
These 4 songs are criminally underrated. "I'm not in your mind" is groovy as hell.
***** what
Within the king gizzard discography this is not that underrated. This medley is considered one of their greatest works. I'll agree with you if you meant in general, King Gizz doesn't get the attention it deserves.
I'm so proud this is my generation doing rock, late 20's going 30.
I especially think the live version here is better than the album. But that’s just my opinion. It’s easier to hear each individual part
where do this start and stop, it seems like one big jam
can we take a moment to appreciate the bonkers harmonica work here, though?
like, the rehearsal. "Okay, we need two drummers. Do guys have your kits set up?" "I'm on the twelve-string, but we're going to need like two other guitarists, at least."

"no. it is harmonica time. there is no other way."
modern Ambrose is amazing because he has an entire case of harmonicas, a saxophone, and a single cymbal he hits really really hard

Eric is a happy boyo.
😂 Cavs face.
I can't stop listening to this, this is one of the greatest recorded pieces of music of the last 20 years
Does it kind of remind you of the song toys in the attic from Aerosmith, energy wise
YES
same
King gizz is the greatest modern rock band currently making music
This is just ridiculously good. I've been listening to this like 40-50 times over the last 3 years and it never gets old nor repetitive. Long live The Gizz, best rock band of our time.
Sorry it has been a while, I love this.glad you enjoy it too
Cant think of another band that did better in the 10s
@diego toledano osees want to talk to you!
Not just "our time", though that is true, it doesn't give them the credit they actually deserve. These guys can, go head to head with damn near any of the "classic rock" legends and hold their own. Their discography already surpasses many of their contemporaries.
Everyone should see them live, one of the best bands nowdays!!!
i see them live yesterday, and yes, you are fucking right!!
Fiorenzo Pira agreed!!
saw them live this year in germany, it was crazy like hell
Indeed
Just two more days til I see them for my second time
This band is absolutely fucking amazing
3:05 I like how they need to label the bass just in case they forget what it is
Somethings written on that red guitar too "--------/HEAD"
any ideas?
omg that made my day
five studio albums in 2017.... it's out of control.
i think the 1 guitar players guitar says give head or got head maybe fat head lol but yeah these guys are great beats the snot out of the puke they play here on fm here in d.c. nowadays.
@@bubblesmckenzie1849 So when you ask for it you can say: Hey, mate can you give me head?
'i'm not in your mind' sounds like when you're about to enter the boss level
I don't know why... but it remins me of the bonus level theme on the game Donkey Kong Country 2... I don't know if you ever played it haha
It should be some epic boss fight soundtrack
That Mild High Club shirt though... Their duo album is absolutely incredible.
I agree! 😍😍
See that Mac demarco shirt tho
One of my favs!
the scorpions shirt too lmao
Best boyband ever, my favorite is Kenny

I've honestly never been a die hard fan of any band in my entire life - until this year. So very sorry to be introduced so late
No worries :) welcome
No apology needed friend ❤️
Never ever too late for the Gizz 🤘🤘
Coming back to listen to vintage KG and oh boyy, this jam ages like fine wine
I've watched this dozens of times by now, and rather than it getting old it's become even better over time.
DUFMAN123 same here dude
if you wear headphones, this guys truly are in your mind
Gizz should almost always be played through headphones. So much more satisfying.
King Gizzard do such a good job of retaining the studio quality they have on records when they perform live. And honestly I think they make some of the shit sound way better live (this being a prime example)
God bless these Australians
Literally every new band I've been finding that I dig have been Australian
As a Deadhead, I truly enjoy it when they do long extended jams. Like with Sense and Bitter Boogie.
It is the whole point but the 'studio quality' isn't exactly high fidelity.
6:10 crazy how fast the drummer can shapeshift and teleport from one kit to another
cant stop listening to this.. help
they're in your mind mate
Any luck yet? I'm still stuck.
just watch all their other performances thatll help
It's actually better than the album :o
No
Harmonica interlude for like 3 glorious seconds on Cellophane.... swoon.
I appreciate that they all hold their instruments at appropriate levels for maximum rockability.
best band in the world
This is one of the greatest 11-minute musical performances of all time
They all look so young here ❤
whoa hits different in 2022 ! ! ! ! !
I must have listened to this version of the song at least 300 times by now. I listen to it literally every day of my life.
have you guys noticed that the drummer can morph into another person
of course, he's a reptilian shapeshifter :)
They do morph whatever they want
Weird Al Yankovic's son -> Martin Starr
I mean, he is the Lizard Wizard
Rodolfo Godoy Rossler and she came and
all ruined at 4:00 :)
damm, i wanna be in that band, fucking amazing
They are the best band of this decade
this is probably the song that I have listened to the most times in my life.
holly shit this is wild. I like the main theme, plus the harmonica is fucking epic
I've seen them live three times since xd

2021 and still the best KEXP performance
I have probably played this clip about 1,000 times and I never get sick of it!
I'm glad someone still makes music like this
Upon my soul these guys are seriously GOOD!
Why did nobody tell me about them?
Consider yourself told!

one of the best 11 minutes and 41 seconds you can spend on youtube
The “girls in France” riff at 5:00 is my favorite thing in the world, it’s what originally sold me on this band

it's called the "arabian riff"
