It’s ride the Polaris Day , it’s going to be warm today , Go Go Gadget Victory , stop at waysides & parks , talk about snowmobiles , when snowmobiling , we stop and talk about Victory’s , always looking forward to something
We had 4 of the Polaris TX 300 playmates when I was a little kid, i believe they were 1970 or so that I learned to ride on. My dad road a 72 colt twin headlight that he loved. I wished I still had them ! Very rare now.
Grandma is 99 now , 100 in January , her last machine was a 1976 Colt 250 , first machine I got to ride by myself , I got stuck so many times that first time out , Grandpa had a lot of patients that day ,
While you were talking to the older gentleman about racing the I 500 you have Jeff Ludwig looking at the sleds behind the gentleman talking. Good stuff Nuttr
Great stuff!! We started on a Charger TX 300 and a 295 Colt SS with a EC44P transplant my buddy "Skinny" rode. Great memories of them beating up on my 72 Rupp Yankee. 😊 Good motor.....no traction...but I could replace bogie springs in minutes. 😂
The big free-air single......Gerry Reese brought in maybe a half-dozen of these in the late 60's as possible prototypes for the TX 400. Started life as a 372 fan-cooled....you can see where the bottom of the fan shroud has been milled off for fitment in a sled chassis. The cooling fan fins have also been turned off the flywheel. 396 cylinder/piston/head mounted. The piston has the fashion-of-the-day grooves cut around it. I believe this Keihin is jetted to run on alcohol. Great velocity stack 8-). Pipe had an unforgettable sound. This one is new...been up in my barn for almost 50 yrs. Wish I could remember what kind of oil I put in it as a preservative....when I dug it out, it turned over like it had been set aside yesterday. Kudos to Randy, John, David and everyone for a beautiful display.....
Cheers John 🍻 Thanks so much for doing this kinda stuff 👍 So much history to listen to, it’s quite captivating! Glad these people are able and want to share their part of Polaris history! Clean the carbs 🍻
Different kinda thinking in the old days , gas tanks in the front , convenient maybe , but it usually where tree jumps out and hits you ! Damn trees ? At least deer are softer ?
I've been looking for a real long time for a 1969 Polaris colt. I believe it was a 372 or a 379 single cylinder. Would you possibly know I could find one?
Hey Nutter, i have a question you may or.may not know. I bought a 1993 indy lite 340 and found the rails on the rear skid are junk. Wondering you know a good solution to repairing or any other skids i can bolt directly into the indy lite. Thank you

@@nuttersspeedshop And thanks for the sticker....you'll have a badge like mine before you know it 8-)
Truly enjoyed every part of this video. Lots of amazing sleds, along with the authentic interviews
Many thanks 👍🏼🙏🙏
Glad you enjoyed it!
That story about the young man shot on his snowmobile, mistaken for a deer. I'm no detective but I'd say that was a deliberate shot.
That sled was at the show too, 4 shots total. I agree with you
It was a great time at the show. had fun talking to Tommy about vans. great to see ya again.
We will for sure see you this Winter Rick!
Nothing better than a cup of coffee and your videos my friend I truly enjoy every one of them you help keep this sport alive much appreciated Nutter
Glad you enjoy it!
That Star car is so cool. It may not be the last one around, my dad says he saw one 10-15 years ago at a show.
There's several around. I know one person with at least 2 and several more than have 1. Many escaped the recall.
Thanks John. Amazing video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Appreciate all of that Brother...🤙
Thanks!
Cheers John 🍻
