This game really did not all these damage layers. Rng layers. You have color rarity, refined/calibrated/whatever rarity, receiver type, and two perks that effect the weapon types range. Starfield is full of these dumb layers. Think about it, people complained that fallout 4 was a looter shooter. What would you call all this but not the exact same stuff we saw in other looter shooters that gave them their identity? Unfortunately, it’s design hours meant to milk time rather than provide fun
Actually, I have not seen increase of rarer item at very hard. In fact, the items will be almost all common rarity and a lower rank than they would be at just normal. That is my impression after 8 hours of testing this "trick" out. Hell, I stopped getting legendary and purple raritied altogether at very hard. It wasn’t until I put it to normal difficulty that I started seeing higher rarities. So I honestly am somewhat doubtful about this actually working. Do note I have tried out both setting the difficulty to very hard before entering places _and_ just keeping it at very hard the entire time I was in a 75+ system. I feel like either whoever started this rumour experienced a bit of confirmation biase due to good rng or the changing of difficulty really doesn't actually do anything at all.
I've been having troubles with the resetting things getting it to work on console Amazon music talk fast when I see you or have picked a lock reloaded miny times no luck sad day😢
Do yourself a favor and play the game on Very Hard without continually changing the difficulty to very easy. I’ll go with the rng all the time and play on the normal difficulty. Don’t want to ruin the game and just play it slow… being overpowered early leaves nothing to desire…
If it becomes easy on normal which it def does at some point bump it up a level. To wash their own I guess but if someone wants to cheese the game to level up certain aspects more power to em. This game is massive and I hope it has the repeatability it seems to.
Here is a tip for ship build level up. go to a ship building base. Purchase on your ship a few cheap cosmetic add ons, perhaps even the extenders that can build things on. Fill those spots with other cheap parts. Exit the screen and buy those, stay in the screen, delete them, add the next couple down the list. Do it till you are done. And boom, ship build skills in 5 min.
I really think they should change the fact that harder difficulties don't reward more xp. They shouldn't lessen the xp you get now on any difficulty, but maybe a small multiplier that increases with level of difficulty.
I think they should drop all leveled enemies and just give us enemies where armor and weapons matter more than what level they are. Then tell us one type of enemy is better at this skill that will kill your than every other type of enemy. So as you “level” your character, you struggle with more experienced enemy rather than a multi leveled enemy. And to level your self, just make it kill based, no matter what enemy you kill, you get only 1 point of XP, but the higher leveled enemy’s give you a reward by having higher leveled loot, legendary loot is for the most experienced enemy and crap loot is in less experienced. Now you have reasons to kill low level enemies to “level” and reason to kill high level enemies because they have just better gear all together. And loot.
Work in progress, but I loved doom for that reason, you could theoretically play the whole game using only unleveled beginner weapons and crap, but you are encouraged to kill every enemy because you can get rewards for doing so.
And also while there at it make "very hard" difficulty actually very hard ON PLANETS, in space theres no problem there i get absolutely clapped instantly with my almost max c ship😂but in a actual gun fight you don't die unless your trying

One thing to explain the difficulty, it DOES have an effect on XP just indirectly. While the XP gained is dependant on the level of the enemy, the level of the enemy is dependent on the difficulty. So in theory the highest XP you could get is having it on V.Hard when you warp into a system and after the enemies spawn then change down to V.Easy to lower the health EDIT: I see you are aware of the loot changing, the enemy level is also affected by the same premise
@@dickyboi4956 Oh yeah, couldnt agree more. But the vid isnt "Tips you'll find fun" lol, its explaining the deep mechanics so that you may use it to craft your own gameplay experience
This is incorrect, the difficulty has nothing to do with the level of enemies that spawns. The level of the enemy is based on the level of the system you are in. For example a level 50 system has an average level of level 50. As stated, enemies will spawn with better loot on very hard difficulty, annoyingly the chance is currently only 1% higher to drop a legendary item on very hard mode. Beyond that the only chances are that you do 50% of your damage on Very Hard and you receive 2x damage from enemies.
@@ESOdanny My mistake, so further question; With the system deciding the level of the enemies, is that set or is it a level range? I.e. a lvl 50 system can spawn from lvl 45-55 or something similar. If, like I assume, this is correct, would the difficulty not play a part in how often an enemy is in the higher part of that range?
@@dizuko_the distribution of enemy levels are the same. In other words, on Very Hard, you won't run into a higher amount of enemies on the upper end of a system's level average.

That tip about photo mode is great... I decided to take photos of various vendors/characters with a trash can over their heads. Always good for a laugh. Unfortunately it doesn't always work to break line of sight like it did in Skyrim... but it does work if you just place an item in their line of sight to hide you.
Now that Starfield has been updated to change the single difficulty setting to a whole page of difficulty settings I wish someone would explain which of the more granular difficulty settings affects weapon/armor loot drops.

This game is a lie ! The "unparalleled exploration" ? Does not exist! Skyrim had actual, full on free exploration! With the notable exception of city, cave and house entering...there were no loading screens! The NPCs ?! (both enemies and allies)...? A massive step back, compared to games like Skyrim! Like srs...Skyrim enemies and companions were actually competent! Both ranged and melee! They knew when to hide, when to strike! They actually maneuvred, not just run away! Very few times they got stuck in the door or in your way...and they actually moved out of your way, if in tight spaces (after a few seconds) ! How did Bethesda managed to use a dummer AI for the NPCs, both hostile and allies... ?!?!?!
Strix and the floating enemy packs are the way to go for XP with the very hard to very easy swap. Massive groups that all slowly swarm you. A follower with no weapon will attract a huge group you can just stand aside and plink at.
@@T1GIB Talking about the XP farming NPCs using the very hard game setting then swapping to very easy after loading them all in. Strix I has crater biomes with flying brainlike creatures that spawn in large packs, move slow and will swarm your companion if you take away their gun or ammo which makes for easy shooting. Large amounts of XP fast just using the very hard to spawn in more high level or elite version of enemies.
Playing on Very Hard is the way to go for money and epic loot. Yeah, youll spend more ammo, but going on very easy for XP alone, is to miss out on hundreds of rare, epic, and legendary gear. Just as long as you know what youre giving up to play on Easy. Very hard isnt even that hard honestly...

This does not make any sense, you should not be able to kill lvl 70 guys at lvl 10 xD and why is there no difference in TTK when killing Lvl 2 ship vs a lvl 32 ship
2:36 I don't think that's completely accurate. Increasing your difficulty to VERY HARD when you go into an area sets the loot for the chests. But the loot for the enemies is rolled at the moment that you kill them. That's why you can save immediately before killing a "boss" and then kill him and if you don't like the loot, you can reload and kill him again, repeating this until you get something you like.
Yeah and since when do most players not know that Refined, Calibrated and Advanced versions of weapons exist? Never trust a British guy who records videos in cosplay 😂😂😂

Wait, we can sell scans to Vladimir? Nice!
You can and for allot more credits than anybody else too!
*Bruh did you just give up on Baldur's Gate?...*
Watching paint dry is more enjoyable then bg3 combat, so hopefully. Wasted 80 dollars on ps5 for it.. couldn't refund played too long with 3 friends who also all quit from boring combat. I'll admit rest of game cool but combat sooooo boring.
I actually got the advanced urban eagle at lvl16 from a random loot container and with my skillpoints in pistol dmg and ballistic dmg even tho the advanced urban eagle I got is the grey version without any mods it does 206dmg per shot and one shots lvl16 ecliptic mercs.. I got it on normal difficulty..
i miss uglash
I didn’t know about the killing Fauna also scans them automatically for you - how I hadn’t worked that out on Kreet before now I’ve no idea! 😂
Great tips, thanks!
I saw evidence of that but took me weeks to acknowledge it lolol
That tip about photo mode is great... I decided to take photos of various vendors/characters with a trash can over their heads.
Always good for a laugh. Unfortunately it doesn't always work to break line of sight like it did in Skyrim... but it does work if you just place an item in their line of sight to hide you.
was hoping you had tips to toggle which floor, ceiling, or wall actually connected to the next hab instead of getting 83 different ladders
I have a 3 level ship and I only have…..3 ladders 👀
Now that Starfield has been updated to change the single difficulty setting to a whole page of difficulty settings I wish someone would explain which of the more granular difficulty settings affects weapon/armor loot drops.
When is baldurs gate being resumed?
It's Just cheating on yourself.. 😂
The first tip is extremely useful and i’m glad i don’t have to abuse glitches to do it, thankyou !
Great video with very useful tips! Only thing I struggled with was the loudness of the music at times, totally distracted me from hearing your voice :)
great tips! i don't think I have the patience to keep reloading for better loot right before killing enemies, though lol
Is Starfield ,Mass Effect meets Skyrim ?
I figured this out on my own so I haven’t checked if there are any videos on it but I’m sure there are. The fastest way to level up your piloting skill is to use the simulator at the Mast.
So i've been playing on hard mode for no freaking reason besides wasting all my ammo xD
thx for the tips
No you get higher legend rates. Stop being a puzzy
Superior are in game, i got 3 of them. Just like advanced they start to appear more frequently later in game, you can save scum for hours and they are still rare. Not sure if all items can spawn as superior tho.
@ESOdanny where is the rest of my BG3 playthrough ??
I think slower is better, this is a long game, rushing it will kill the balance
the second tip feels like cheating tbh
Strix and the floating enemy packs are the way to go for XP with the very hard to very easy swap. Massive groups that all slowly swarm you. A follower with no weapon will attract a huge group you can just stand aside and plink at.
What does most of this mean?
Play then game and play around glitches. once you start glitching the game is dead for you in no time. Expect gta5 or other micropayment ripp offs :) don’t be destructive against this game :)
Starfield is not just a stare fest. It's also a fun genocide game. Slaughtering hordes of animals like the buffalos of old really brings back that wild wild west mood. Wicki-wicki wild wild west.
If they told you everything it would not be a great game. People like you ruin games by crying all the time because you actually have to play the game and learn
Wow. Do people actually want to cheapen the game using these “tips”. Ffs, why not just get a mod that goes right to the ending credits and you can just say you beat Starfield. What is the point of the game if you remove all the Challange?
@Tripster369 the items are appropriately labeled. Also it was like this previous Bethesda games lol
I wish I could play it, but don't have a device for it, just a Dumm ps player
I don't really like difficulty cheesing. Easy gameplay ruins the fun of games for me. There needs to be a balance of challenge and fun to keep me engaged
to each their own thank you for the video and confused why so much hate people game how they want to play I like when you go in there to you and hating on you because I don't like mustard on my hot dog and you do so stupid that's a trend now nobody's got nothing better to do but be pessimistic about everything if you don't like it leave a thumbs-down saying it's not for me here's why thank you have a nice day.... peace love unity respect here's some food for thought peace love unity respect don't let them divide us .....have a nice day
Sounds like too much hassle, just play the game and enjoy it. As a Skyrim glitcher in the past, becoming op early just spoils the play through.
Lol i play on very hard, just because my sniper one tap level 100 muiple health bars Enamys 12k is so fun to watch
0:55 but you can also add money and xp through console commands! whooptee-doo!
but seriously very easy is boring
If the point of the game is to just get as OP as soon as possible and then just cruise through then this is good. However this isn't fun, or at least this isn't long lasting fun. Once you reach that uber level in a couple of days then its all over. Sorry but the only point to this is to feed your ego.
Bethesda should focus on bugs like no superior weapons before fixing a chest location. That’s frustrating.
When I’m playing it won’t let jump to certain planets telling me that I have to find a closer planet first which I go to and it still say I’m still too far!! 😂
That’s like not a mechanic… it’s a bug that you can manipulate the difficulty like that 😂 starfield is basically the last season of game of thrones, in a game.
is there any way to move or change the health bar as i sturggle to even know its there i can be walking around with a red health bar and not even realise and in combat il just randomly die because i dont know how much health i have left i know people will probably laugh and say get good at the game im realy trying to enjoy the game just wish the health bar was on the left or somewhere i could keep track of it better
I am greatly enjoying the game; however what is with no vehicles on planet I find the hoofing it very annoying, no mounts really come on.
7:20 Also sleep on your ship every 25 minutes for bonus XP!
Having put in 90 hours, counting time in New Game +; I would like to point out that there are MANY places that will take 40 minutes to get through, more if you like looting.. to me, this makes the 24 minute XP bonus next to useless...next to, first 24 minutes are nice.
@@strixfiremind But at that time stamp he's talking about landing, killing creatures, and moving your ship and doing it again to farm XP. If you're getting into your ship over and over taking a 1hr nap is reasonable.
@@dripdolphin3575 I did say the first 24 minutes are nice; but go ahead, play the game and run into the very issues I spoke about
@@Skullspinx what you said is true; but so is what I said. Depends on what you are doing for your XP. I like questing for it, some people like farming it - when farming sleeping is great, but while questing it falls short, quite literally in most of the quests I've done.
@@strixfiremind in another tips video it said that you should sleep before turning in missions. That's when you usually get a ton of XP at once and having the bonus there is nice I guess
Eso any update on Balders gate? I have been waiting for your playthrough to finish so I can watch others.
I'll be recording the next episode for Monday next week ideally
@@ESOdanny why play a great game, do a great job on the video and then abandon it when the best stuff comes, for Starshit?
@@Plingsel I'm not going to rush to finish an incredible game like bg3, and I may have if I did not play Starfield first. Also it makes allot more sense from a business standpoint.
@@Plingselyou really posting about this on every video? Sounds like someone needs a hobby!😅
@@23mega23 not anymore, he answered already that he's posting bg3 coming week
I see that we BOTH took the SAME screenshot of the Computer in the glass case. LMAO
The game is easier on easier difficulty! :0 whodathunkit.. -_-
Sam is a Synth!
The drops proc on death? Thought when you entered a specific area all characters and gear were generated all at once.
I hope they make a survival mode, so these exploit videos will stop popping up on my feeds
Damn I need to reload my mantis save and change difficulty to max now.
Superior weapons and armor drops are not bugged you just need to continue playing in Very Hard mode without switching to easy ever.... That's when i started seeing them drop
I checked this in console commands, you can only get superior armor, not weapons currently. It's nothing to do with not turning down the difficulty.
@@ESOdannyso your level has to do with gun drops, difficulty has to do with armor drops?
