Hey there Clutch...glad you were able to get the glasses done, I carry two pair(actually DOT req) my 2nd pair is same only their safety glasses) I use to buy from optician office after eye exam but now for several yrs I just take thee ole prescription to Walmart...I've learned their just as good n a lot less n last just as long...n I get a big discount on the 2nd pair. Speaking of that I pick my new sets up tomorrow here on my hometime, get back on road Wednesday this week. Hey people drive crazy, we see this everyday right, crazy. Yeah that Shipper they think their the only important moment of the day at times...hear ya on that, than cause you to miss your next load.geeze!! Hard enough to get descent loads these days. Hey D I had a nice weekend. I took a 2 hour road trip to the TA in Knoxville TN. Why you may ask that I did that? I met a certain Turrets Trucker while he was doing his 34 hour reset. I was there for about 2 hours. Very nice guy. I got to see Mean Green. Later on we got to talking to a driver from Western Express. He was telling us how bad the pay was. I hope your new used Freightshaker has been holding up Take car and you and the Meatball Dog stay safe.
As a fellow 4 eyed trucker, that’s been one fear of mine. I had one pair that broke from 6 pallets falling on me, thankfully I didn’t break anything but my glasses and I was at the terminal but still… driving home was interesting.

1:10 You couldve gone Col. Klink style (Hogan's Heroes) with those glasses. I've always pronounced it "Terry Hot" but I may be wrong also. Ive been there a many of times taping my glasses (electrical tape is what I always use).7:49 (singing) "Baby, if you've ever wondered. Wondered, what ever became of me." What a mess that was.
Buffy and Jody always pronounced it like Terra Hote. Im not sure how Uncle Bill or Sissy pronounced it. Indiana roads are crap and they are so proud of their construction barrels; they dont leave a one in storage. The only worse road I've found is through Shreveport.

I have been through the I-70 Indiana many many times and yeah it really does suck! However, I think Michigan's highways are worse, particularly the I-75 and I-94 and Illinois isn't much better, I am thinking the I-80 that has been under construction for about 100 years!!! In my humble opinion. Speaking of idiots and Ass-Wagons, a few weeks ago I was on the I-81S going through Pennsylvania and I had to slow down and stop in a hurry because an accident happened right in front of me. The woman behind me driving a late model Honda SUV did not have time to react because she was following too close and smashed into the back of my trailer. The trailer was not damaged at all; however, the front end of her car was destroyed. Although it was obviously her fault, I still felt sorry for the woman whose young daughter was in the passenger seat - especially when her husband showed up. Thankfully they were both okay, just really shaken up. Safe travels Sir.
+ Also , for driving eye glasses : bands or chain installed to your eye glasses so you can hang them around your neck and don’t have to place them on other surfaces where they break , and to be handy all the time . 🥸

If I ever got into trucking, I would be a company driver. I wouldn't want my money going into a truck. That's what companies like when people want to buy their own trucks so they don't have to maintain any vehicles.
Funny one CLUTCH 🤓🤣🤣 I also carry a spare set of glasses, we got to. You got lucky. I like those frames you got, my hair gets tangled up with the nose pads with the other type of eyeglasses if I try to remove to clean while driving, you know once in a while you touch your glasses and BAM, put a smudge on them, I can't stand that Is quite annoying! Plastic frames slide off easily with one hand, not the others How's the A-truck working out for you besides the extra realty space. Is an easy adjustment but I still don't like them, CLUTCH, just be aware around rainy weather and tge other winter stuff. Now you're AUTOMATIC -TRUCKER instead of CLUTCH TRUCKER 🤣 RUSTY enjoying more floor space ❤ Be safe!! HUGS AND CUDDLES 🥰
+ Actually, automatic trans’ still has several clutches self operating , l rebuilt my Chevy van automatic trans’ myself first and only time , it worked perfect , l wish l lived close by clutch , l would’ve rebuilt his CT1 for him if he would buy the parts 🌹.
+ No clutch pedal cause no main clutch on the differential column , instead , inside the trany there are small clutches ; one for each gear but they are all self operating when you put it on drive .

When I was on the road I carried a couple spare pairs of glasses. I still do.
As a professional driver, you need to have a backup pair of glasses in case the first pair breaks.
I believe even contact lenses wearers need a backup pair of glasses too

As a commercial truck driver you are required to have a spare pair of glasses just for this reason
