Good thing someone told you what the problem was OR you'd drive a little, pay a lot again. 😢... So sorry but please Stay safe Mr Clutch and Rusty. ❤️💜🙏
Too bad Khai didn't look at the tensioner and know what was going to happen down the road! What a P.I.T.A!!! Hope you get a spare belt? The problem with a gear operated water pump is when the seals and bearings go out, the coolant ends up in the crankcase. Keep on Truckin! Be safe.
Hi Darrel. You should take this Cascadia back to the thief that you got it from. You've had more problems with it in 2 months than anyone should in a year or more. The quality of the Detroit Diesels have gone down since Daimler bought them out. You and lil Rusty stay safe..
"If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all." Quote from HeeHaw I think! Hopefully tomorrow is much better! Rusty was sure excited! Safe travels and good loads G&L
Man I sure feel your pain. Just had a drive tire have a slice taken out in the sidewall yesterday. Ughh $829. Luckily I have tire pressure monitoring system on all the truck tires so it let me know I was losing air. That was better than finding out by seeing tire piece flying all over the road and ripping a fender apart. That sux having to track down parts. That tension sure can cause a problem. It seems like everytime we have a good week we get hit with repairs 🤦🏻♂️.
The first road call service the mechanic should have known better ! There are reasons why belts come off ! Designers and engineers produce programmable failures for their products . Your DD I3 water pump may also have a vicious temperature controlled drive .
Most road service guys are not that knowledgeable. The number one thing is see on the dd13 dd15 etc platform is oil pickup tube cracks and o ring failure that's says bye bye to engine real quick. Bad designs because its plastic. If your truck has near 250k or 500k i would change them out. I'm very knowledgeable on those engines hit me up if you have any questions.
Glad I drive a 2016 DD15. Yes I have replaced an idler, but I have a million miles on the engine. I am facing replacing the DEF filters in the 1 cans to the tune of $3000 + labor. Ouch!
I give you credit for being able to organize maintenance/repairs stuck on the road. High markets for the qualified shop/ mechanic that advised you about the problem. A top mechanic is worth their weight in gold they kinda inspect the whole vehicle. Did they give you any more pointers what to watch for in the future. Many experienced drivers/ mechanics/ shops have a book about pre maintenance for this vehicle. I'm making a supportive comment nothing negative just to be clear clutch trucker. Everyone feels the frustration living in today's world. Have a most wonderful Rusty and clutch trucker.
Man - that's damn frustrating. Now the compressed 1 day run for lignite. It'll be much nicer after you drop the lignite. Hope you get some good rest soon. Safe travels neighbor!
Clutch..hate ti say this but you know that old saying...if it wasn't for bad luck youd have no luck at all...i hope things get smoothed out for you n you can roll like a freight train...have safe and good one Clutch....how can these sales people sleep at night.. i guess there immune to the job
Over it owner/operator must be worth it or you wouldn't still be doing it. I had some rent houses and same thing, the potential didn't always match reality but all in all it worked out. I was watching an old video or yours when I was looking at buying a new microwave. Not much change over 4 years.
What about the Insurance you had that will pay for some of these repairs. I would call the first place as well and let them know it happened again and you had to pay more money to fix it and see what they say.
Don't even start me on "Designer/Engineers!" After working for a multi-national Hotel Company as a Building Engineer, engineers (small e) should not get their first pencil until they have spent at least 3 years in the field!
Arent you old enough to retire? Do u really need the headache of this so called new truck. I hate to say it but all that money you spent on changing sleeper on Coronado could have saved money by leaving the sleeper original.
The joys of being an owner operator. Did that for 22 years. Love your vlogs.
glad you got your truck fixed clutch always good to see cutie pie rusty
Praying for you CT Be safe👍

True. Always good and bad to either design

You and lil Rusty stay safe..
You've had a rough day...be safe out there!
I have a 2016 Coronado glider with a 12.7 series 60. I don't see me ever getting rid of it. This new stuff ugh!
I hear ya
On the plus side, Rusty seems to look ok
Is that beautiful Coronado still sitting there?
Yes. It’s at the house. Wanna buy it? It needs a head gasket and an in-Frame. Damn near everything else has been replaced! clutchtrucker@gmail.com
Sorry hope everything gets better

You know it too well Tony
Better get ahold of that first company. They need a better mechanic. They should have to pay for that mistake.
They're going to fuel mileage. When do you get a learn? It just get a 6 in Z cat.
Diddle run and run and run and run and run.
?
Once again I hit the like button when I don't like what is happening to you. I wish you had a couple of million subs.
Me too
Optimized idle thing use to wake me up every time haha
Yep. Me too. Still getting used to it

Sorry to hear about that. I would be pissed to.

Yikes
That's the same amount of money for a new engine in some vehicles

I always love the really grizzled looking older mechanics. They know their stuff

Thanks. Cereal back to Cheyenne tomorrow
In my experience anything that starts with DD cost money.
😂
Can the trucking industry file a class action law suit against the epa.for creating a situation.that makes profitable trucking next to impossible?
It should
Thats trucken, you're always chasing your tail!
You got that right!
I still think they sold you a bad truck and Id be pissed at them.
When are you gonna get a pre emmission glider?
Um, that’s what his previous truck is…and why he kept it running as long as he could. But the MPG wasn’t enough in today’s market.
I have one
God please help Clutch and Rusty.
I absolutely 💯 hate these new trucks
This is called "Tuition in the School of Experience" You will go on to do great things in life.
Clutch..hate ti say this but you know that old saying...if it wasn't for bad luck youd have no luck at all...i hope things get smoothed out for you n you can roll like a freight train...have safe and good one Clutch....how can these sales people sleep at night.. i guess there immune to the job
Yep
Engineers payback after catching mechanic messing with his wife
Lol😂
Hahahaah
That truck is a serious pain in the butt, of course you know that. Rusty is a shining star. 500 bucks to change a belt, bull hockey.

On a car maybe. But not on a big truck engine
I was told by an army buddy that they did this to a 5ton with a Cummins engine in it

Seeing as how he’s been a driver for 13+ years but only on RUclips for 5, your math doesn’t add up.
