nah, this is honestly one of the worse implementations of heatsinks imho. Look at xiaomi BE7000 routers, those have big finned heatsink that will embarrass this thing at a much lower price point.
why not first test it and after all test done go for teardown!? This way we always think that maybe something goes wrong with the teardown and it take effect on the test results
oh, are you serious? They didn't use that gold heat spreader for anything, and just put it there as an aesthetic piece? I mean, Asus, come on, you can just slap a thermal pad somewhere on the PCB, or even the other heatsink, and use it for... something. Not to mention those cables position too, jeez.
Great, cant wait to see best settings for wifi, i just bought this router, ethernet speed is excelence for me but cent get more then 200Mbit at wifi 5. Old router ASUS rt 1900u, in the same spot gives me speed about 700Mbit, so i dunno what is wrong with my settings :(
Thank you, I love these router teardowns, always happy to see proper heatsink for cooling of the key components.

I've just got the BE86U and its a beast. Getting over 1000Mbit on wireless tests.

Does it support the LACP (802.3ad) for at least 2 X 2.5 GbE ports?

Check the channel, you may have devices that are interfering with it.
We waiting the comparision between this router and asus rapture ax6000
Waiting for a xiaomi version with 6ghz
6ghz Wi-Fi channel is banned in China, so there will be no such device in the near future
@@william.8845 hopefully china reconsiders
why is the AX 4200 so bad and unstable ?
If it's hardware-wise, you may have gotten a dud. Otherwise, you could try using OpenWRT.
