@@readmycomment3157 No it isn't. Men like to look at attractive women and vice versa, it's healthy and it's totally normal. It's you who is "creepy" for trying to police normal human behaviour. See a doctor.
The restorers are so talented. They LOVE ❤️ their job and enjoy doing it. I admire them and wish I have a bit of their talent. We are lucky just enjoying their work. 🙏.Thank you.
Excellent video Ruth, a true professional. Many thanks! I have a mirror, not quite as intricate as the one you are working on, I would like to have a go at repairing. Please can you tell me if I would be able to purchase the moulds for a cartouche and other ornaments, please?
Oh Ruth, I wish you could restore my mirror. It’s not a horrible condition but I’m in the USA and it was Patton London, England by my late husband and it does need to be restored but perfectly is there anyway I can get a hold of you?
Domestic workers who clean house in L.A. get $25 hr. If Ruth gets $30 hr. then her hours worked would get her $3540. Somehow, I doubt her museum quality restoration earns that much...the end product sale price would be too much for Drew to see the profit he wants and needs.
if you say £60/h which is not much its already £7080 for the work alone. Gold and other materials will add another £1000 I guess... so Drew has to ask for £10000 at least.
Drew is probably losing money on many of the big restoration jobs like this. Maybe he thinks it’s worth it. Perhaps the bottom line is boosted by the television receipts
She need her own show. She’s amazing!
@Bob Anomaly why add that last bit, so creepy

She has a RUclips channel

I love Ruth Tappin's work!
Restauro meraviglioso sei un artista ruth
Love what Drew said, we all ready have these lovely objects, lets re-use them and not make more. What a restorer, glad she took the risk.
And not make more..? Why ?
I agree with what he said right in the end. Such a huge amount of difference it would make in the world if everyone of us re used just a few things
Gorgeous! Drew Pritchard is really the best show in town!
She is very good- and appealing. Ruth is a brilliant restorer.
I WILL HAVE A GO AT HER
This is the best video on a mirror restoring I have seen. GREAT job.
Thrilling piece and amazing restoration. Yes! Let's love the pieces we have!
Well said at the end, Drew.
I am always in awe of a true craft person and Drew works with some outstanding talent.

Well said Drew!

You make the molds using silicon from the other moldings on the frame
Ruth I have a mirror for you. How to contact you?
Thats beautiful
This is a True CraftsWoman! And Worth every penny she's charged Drew for it. (And i must admit, that i Ám a tiny bit curious how much this was.. 😉)
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thank you I thought your choice was much better than Drews
Beautiful work, Ruth !
Please info me what you are using as a molding material you are using.
Her husband/fiance is a lucky, lucky man. Damn. That lovely long, wavy red hair!
Drew u r right . Reuse is the answer
Wow, just a piece of mirror that size cost a small fortune but that frame ❤️
Drew needs this total genius restorer far more than she needs him.
Wow!
Sometimes I question the quality of the repairs versus the restorees questioning prior repairs
Yes

What is the name of Ruth’s company?
The voice we can hear at 0:49 is deep as fuck lol
Haha yes. Sounds like a joke 😆
❤❤❤
'Ruth Tappin, Gilder' is her RUclips channel.
Yes, Ruth knew best for the frame because Drew's choice for the cartouche was twee and underscaled for the frame's dimensions and style.
✔️
👍❤️
It took 118 hours to do. What did she charge for that work?
If it was any less than £3000 she was under-selling herself.
Why make a fuss about the cartouche? Just send some pictures through to Drew and confirm the design via smartphone or even email!
TV!
Are you really this naive?
Hey, stop trying to tell us that Ruth didn’t check with Drew about the bayleaves before applying them.

At £30 per hour thats £3540 alone, plus materials which must have been hundreds or thousands more. Definitely not an economically viable restoration
They never are....
Reuse sounds like someone's having trouble selling 🤣

118 hours plus material, that makes this mirror… well, unsaleable.
Yes, minimum £3000 for her time alone.
Route honey how can I get a hold of you in a more practical way I can send you photographs of my mirror.
