We’re so glad you enjoyed that part! 😊 We’re thrilled to know Marina’s questions added value for you too. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💛
Thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰 We’re so grateful to have amazing people like Marina (and all our lovely models) who are willing to share their journey with us. It means the world to know you’re enjoying these videos, thank you for watching and supporting us!
Those Summer Soft drapes are nice and have depth/richness to them! Looking at some of the Summer Soft palettes online, I was sad that I might be summer soft, since they tend to look muddy and washed out. But these colors look great!
Today I was thinking - isn't it time for the first dopamine boost from Color Analysis Studio for 2025? And here it is!! 🎉🎉❤ It is like a holiday for me when there is a new video from you, ladies! 🎉🎉😊 And I have to admit that this is a really beautiful Summer Soft, even the sand color looks very special on her! Every color from her palette looks special and expensive!
I enjoy how recently you put more emphasis on the fact that during the undertone analysis you already can interpret information besides just “this looks better”. For example here you mentioned the metals and two toned whites not making a big difference. So clever that you don’t just compare, one warm and one cool color but several ones. It helps me to understand better the idea of subcategories and priority characteristics for the next phase. It’s very helpful when you mention early on in an analysis that warmth and coolness can work differently well on people depending on their depth and intensity☺️
Wow, that Sage looks absolutely amazing on Marina! 🤩😍 It's so nice to see that every colour is beautiful when the right person (i.e.right season) is wearing it! And this is what I love about this channel! Happy New Year, Giulia and Alessandra! 🎉 I'm looking forward to more beautiful colour sessions on this channel in 2025 ❤️🩷🧡💛💚💚💙🩵💜🤎🖤🤍🩶
Thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰 We completely agree-Sage is absolutely stunning on Marina! We’re so excited to bring you more sessions in 2025! Wishing you a colorful New Year! 🌈
I was also analyzed by Giulia & Alessandra as a Summer Soft and this video helped me so much to understand my palette more. I am also really centered in the summer palette and my hair is silvery like Marina's. Still a little confused about how to use browns but thank you for this video!
Essentially, you're going to look for browns that have a lot of gray or purple in them. Red-browns are too rich and yellow-browns are too warm. Look for words like mole, musk, taupe, ash, etc. Browns are also tough because they are essentially variations on our skin color, so they can look really dull. So for example, the Sand color in Marina's palette was lovely, and a great neutral for her, but it almost exactly matched her skin, so it looked quite boring. If I were her I'd want to pair that color with one of the others in the palette to avoid a completely nude look. Personally I'd choose a darker version like taupe instead of sand.
I’m increasingly seeing that when undertone is not dominant, it’s easier to see the difference in the opposite of whatever the dominant is. So here, the reaction to undertone is most obvious with bright colors, which makes sense because as a soft, bright colors are challenging to begin with and therefore easy to get wrong. I’m so envious of that soft palette. I wish I could pull off those sophistication colors.
Very interesting 👌🥰 I used to have dark brown hair and along with my Mediterranean skin, I was a winter deep. My hair has gotten lighter with the gray streaks. Since then, some colors from the deep autumn looks also nice.
She looks amazing in those lovely colours. So jealous! 🤣 (I’m a bright spring and like how I look in my palette, but summer soft has all my favourite colours. 🤣) Thank you for another awesome analysis, ladies! Xx 🇬🇧
Same 😊 I think I'm autumn deep and I love my colours (I plan an analysis this spring) but summer soft colours are so so beautiful. The sage ... perfect! And definitely perfect for her ❤
This was a great watch and also very informative, interesting, and educational to see you cover a dilemma that i am sure many of us may question. The fact that we may question our belonging to a certain subseason just because the sister season may not work. I suspect i may also be a soft summer, but I have had doubts because soft autumn was not particularly flattering. I look forward to confirming this (or being told something completely different! Haha) with an online colour analysis in the future. Thanks for clearing this up. I absolutely love watching you analyse clients, and I learn something new every time. It is a joy to watch you work 😊
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! 😊 We’re so glad you found the video informative and helpful. It’s always exciting to clear up those doubts, and we’d be thrilled to analyze your colors when you’re ready!
@MartyS86 just bite the bullet and have the analysis done! You'll be glad you did. I got it done last year after trying to figure out for years what my palette was but never really knowing for sure. It's so worth it!😊
So easy - from the warm mustard yellow screen cap on the video it was obvious she was not an autumn! I appreciated her great questions at the end! Marina is gorgeous! I am a soft summer too. I am going to an Indian wedding soon and all the colors are so very bright. I'm not sure whether I will find a lehenga or saree that doesn't make me look like a clown... But if I do find a sage green one, I feel like I will look so dull compared to everyone else!
Love this video, it was so nice to see her in her colours. Beautifull. Can't wait to have my own analysis done and meet you in march. Kind regards, Johanna
I love this!! The online analysis I had done with you a couple of months ago mirror's this analysis as a soft summer. Just great to seeing it and pick up snippets of information to help me with my wardrobe. Thanks ladies and happy new year to you both 😊
Almost all the subseasons have been done :) We are missing one beautiful Bright Spring🌺💐🌺💐 And from the TRUE Category we still don't have a True Autumn (if I am not missing something, but I think this is impossible😊)
Very informative. And now, I'd like to start of the new year by sending some laughs and giggles your way: The Wicked Queen from "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" is sick and tired of the Magic Mirror always saying Snow White is prettier than her. So. she decides to change herself by going to a salon for a complete head to toe makeover. (This salon even offers color analysis.) After the makeover, the Wicked Queen returns to the castle and says, "Magic Mirror, I just got back from the salon." The Magic Mirror says, "Was it closed?"
Something that I simply love about your channel is the high quality and true to life colour tone (not exactly sure if expressed this correctly …). It’s so much easier to see the real effect of the drapes on the skin. I will also add how much I appreciate that you always bring clarification and logical explanations, in regard to questions and confusion that the community has. The work you do is simply amazing and I am glad to see you are having fun too! 🩵
I really like your method and how you analyze it based on what you see, for example even though your client has a cool undertone, you were open to saying that the gold wasn’t too bad on her. My only critique, which I’ve written in previous videos, is how the method groups in low intensity both soft (dusty) and pale (pastels) which are very different. And the filter to go to that season is done with the muted colors
Pale (pastels) = light Soft (dusty) = soft Soft and light versions of spring and summer are similar because they have low chroma and somewhat neutral temperature, but otherwise they're on different sides of the graph
There is so much great advice in the in-person analysis! I love my online colour analysis from you Gulia, but this appointment was wonderful to watch! 💕
I'm so happy you uploaded another video. Today I said to my mum, I am so hungry for a new video and that I thought a new one would come these days. And here it is.🎉
Thank you for yet another great analysis! And Happy New Year! The very first step of the analysis was very telling: the reds were both off and too intense on Marina. Seeing this reaction to reds makes me wonder if she is an olive (cool undertone+warm overtone, i.e. blue+yellow=green) or is it just the softness of her features?
Just curious, why do you always test an array of colors in the undertone phase but rarely in the intensity phase? Have you ever done an analysis starting with intensity then undertone for funsies?
Love your draping videos so much and am still appreciating (and learning about) my online analysis result - also Summer Soft. Question: would you consider sending a photo result with the season subgroup frame around the person’s face to online clients? It would be so amazing nice to visually SEE it. I’m trying to learn a way to do it digitally. Just an idea! Love what you do and enjoy following you here and on IG. Hope you had wonderful holidays!
I really have no idea what id be, yellow based colpurs make me look too yellow, blue based colours make me look ill, i only look good in neutral, muted mid tones, like red/pink based brown/beiges or mid toned greens.
I loved this video, but I have a question! 🤓 Me being a Summer Soft, but borderline to Autumn Soft, would the other summer seasons be best to barrow from, or Autumn Soft?
As a flow season, is it easier to borrow colors from your over all season, or your subgroup? Meaning, I'm a cool winter, will I find more colors to borrow in True/Clear winter or Cool Summer. Thank you! 🙏🏽
the colours from your parent true season are almost always better than the sister subgroup from a different season (especially if it has a different undertone). There are no flow seasons in the 16 season Italian Institute system.
Excellent analysis! I always love your videos but I have a question: When you belong to a sub-group and need to buy something that does NOT belong to your palate, is it better to borrow something from a sub-group within your season or from the closer palate? I am a Warm Spring for example. What is better, to borrow from another Spring sub-season or from a Warm Autumn?
I don't understand. Her second best season is Summer Light, then Summer Cool. And you said that she can't really use Autumn Soft. Doesn't that make her True Summer instead?
No because if she were a True Summer she could use all three summer subgroups interchangeably; instead, since she is a Soft Summer she has some "second best" palettes and one that works best. Hope this makes it clearer!
@@dwianiindraningsri My understanding of True Summer is that with TS, the qualities of softness, lightness, and coolness are evenly balanced in the person; no single quality is more pronounced than either of the other two. It’s rarer to have this even balance of each seasonal characteristic than to have a feature that is predominant - even if only slightly so. But everyone in a season does share all three characteristics, to varying degrees, so they can use all the seasonal colours. At least that’s how I understand it. Hope that helps! ☺️
@@dwianiindraningsri I was thinking about this too... Maybe it helps to think of a sub-season as a continuum or spectrum between the True season and the Sister season. In this case, she’s a Summer Soft who is leaning more toward True Summer, rather than toward Autumn Soft. It helps me to think of the 3 features separately: Dominant soft Slightly cool Slightly light Then Autumn Soft works better Dominant soft Moderately cool Moderately light Then Summer Cool and Summer Light work better Or if midway, perhaps all 3 could work? The hardest part for my eye is differentiating between lightness and softness especially in those with natural blond hair, but that’s another story.
Oh wow I didn’t know that about the sister season. I thought the sister season was second best, but now I know the subseasons in your own season come first! 🩷
Personally i think that depends. If you are for example a very neutral leaning soft summer, soft autumn might look better then cool summer for example. Or, if you are a brown hair brown eyes soft summer, soft autumn might be better then light summer because of the depth. I think that depends on the person. But as a rule i think what you said might be generally right.
I really like the ending part where Marina asks her questions and we see them get answered. It helps give more context to the rest of us watching too!
We’re so glad you enjoyed that part! 😊 We’re thrilled to know Marina’s questions added value for you too. Thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts! 💛

The soft colours looked so sophisticated on Marina. A perfect harmony. Thanks so much for another enjoyable video.
Hooray that all summers have been done: true, cool, light, and now soft. 😀🎨

Yes. Look for the colour of cocoa powder, is is quite silvery and mauve compared to other browns.
I wasn't too far off. I took one look and thought Summer. Then guessed summer light as she was fair. Just proves you have to drape to see the effect.
