    A colour analysis session is a once-off experience to discover your colours for life.
    A palette is a collection of colours that emphasise your natural chromatic characteristics, making you look radiant and healthy. Colour analysis identifies your personal palette by examining your natural characteristics (undertone, intensity and value).
    A colour analysis session will make you discover something new about yourself and give you the knowledge to shop less and better and to improve your wardrobe and style.

    This is the third time I've purged my closet after watching one of your highly educational videos! I'm not a Spring whatsoever but the education I get has me going back and making some more corrections! I am slowly building a cohesive wardrobe where everything is not only in my season but that all are mix-and-matchable. What a money saver all of this will be in the long-run! Thank you! It's amazing how well and kind you describe the colours on people. I've seen other colour analysis influencers using judgemental language "you look awful in this green" "gross". You always speak so objectively: "this shade is stealing colour from your face". "The skin is becoming greyer"
    Totally on point, and in your second language, too.

      I'm a super-high contrast Winter (Bright Winter, etc.) and despite my clear, cold blue skin undertone, I have warm brown eyes (when the light shines in them, they are almost cherry amber)!
      I have always instinctively gravitated toward cool colors and shunned warm ones (even in the art I admire on walls, not just in my own clothes or makeup). However, interestingly, in recent years I realized that focusing a *bright* warm eyeshadow (like blazing copper) JUST above my iris while keeping the surrounding skin/crease "safe" with cool shades flatters and draws attention to the color of my eyes while not jeopardizing my overall alignment with my season/ my skin's coolness.

    • @coloredpencils01
      @coloredpencils01 4 месяца назад

      I wonder if the analysis would be more difficult if his hair were deceitfully cool. Luckily this time the facial hair contributed to the very warm features in the skin.

    • @fourducksoriginal
      @fourducksoriginal 4 месяца назад +2

      @@coloredpencils01 I got busy and haven't yet seen the video here but opposite -undertone facial hair was exactly why I made the request last year!
      I think a lot of seasonal color analysis in the past was too hung up on natural hair color, which is not always the best possible color or even the correct (i.e. aligned with skin's) undertone for a person! These two analysts seem to have avoided that trap in the videos I've seen and generally their perspectives have seemed to align with my own, so I was interested in what they'd do with that.
      But I still appreciate any bearded analysis, even if the undertone doesn't contrast with the skin's, because a lot of hair on the face covers so much of the whole main target of seasonal analysis (facial and neck skin). It's a useful exercise either way.

    • @coloredpencils01
      @coloredpencils01 4 месяца назад +2

      @@fourducksoriginalTotally. Carol Brailey has a video or two on here saying all hair has some degree of warmth, but that it doesn't affect the skin... I'll have to go back and see what she says.

    • @fourducksoriginal
      @fourducksoriginal 4 месяца назад

      @@coloredpencils01 ah, thank you for that tip, I'll look for info on that subject! I am a perfect example of the hair issue you mention . I have clear and strong cool skin undertones and I am a Winter ,(Bright, or whatever the equivalent is in other systems; the highest contrast Winter). Yet, my darkest-brown natural hair color (appears black when wet) was always susceptible to warm reddish highlights, especially in the sun. Those not only didn't flatter my undertone, but ever so subtly muted the potential contrast of my hair with other features.
      Since I began tinting my hair a blue-undertoned black, my skin and other features are enhanced! My skin looks fresher and clearer, with less discoloration, with no base makeup, and my eyes are brighter. This goes against conventional wisdom that dyed black hair looks harsh once a person is no longer in the youngest age brackets. Maybe it looks harsh on the other seasons, but my hair is now in ideal harmony with my highest contrast, cool season.

Warm Autumn colors make me look drab, Bright Winter looks totally disconnected like a bobblehead, and Light Summer washes me out completely. I need a balance of light, clear, and warm colors. Haha, I'm a fellow True season person, but a True Winter. I'm just like you when it comes to not be able to rock the colors from any of other seasons, so it's a giveaway from the get go that I'm a winter no matter what. The difference is like oil and water, too obvious when comparing the winter colors and other season colors on me. I need all the characteristics of winter colors to be in balance too, which are cool, deep, and bright. The only thing amiss for me is that, I'm living in a full summer country and there's no winter here. It's really hot to be wearing winter colors here 😂.

    Wow, thrilled to see a true spring‼️In the future it would be nice if you could explain why some popular colour analysts say that true seasons have a specific palette instead of saying that true season can wear all the subgroups within their palettes. For example many say that a true winter is a cool winter and that’s their palette. Grazie ragazze!

    • @SueRosalie

    • @warriorssaga13
      @warriorssaga13 4 месяца назад +9

      Hey! I have come across the same thing as you before. I believe it’s because different color analysts use different systems to categorize people. Some consider “true” seasons to not exist and will insist on assigning a subgroup (which they may call a true season but like you said is just one of the warm/cool subgroups). Those people use a 12 season model where I’m pretty sure these ladies are using a 16 season model (4 seasons with 3 subgroups each and the additional 4 true season groups). There are even color analysts that scrap the entire seasonal model and focus on other characteristics and 16 season models that are entirely different from this one. It’s just different color analysis schools and models! I do enjoy the version these ladies practice most, however

    • @coloredpencils01
      @coloredpencils01 4 месяца назад +4

      Yes, in many approaches, true summer = cool summer, true winter = cool winter, true spring = warm spring, true autumn = warm autumn. That's because the original seasonal color analysis in the '80s was just 4 seasons, the true seasons, and later others expanded it into more subgroups.

    • @user-fz9dn5bs7e
      @user-fz9dn5bs7e 4 месяца назад +2

      True winter is equal to cool winter only when the analyst is using the 12 seasonal color system. In the 16 seasonal color system, they're not the same. Meaning that, while it's true for a true season to be able to wear all of the subseason colors within that season, it has it's own separate palette too.

    Its easier for me to see when cool toned people have the wrong colors on as opposed to warm toned. It seems that warm toned can wear both sometimes . Its just what i see on my phone

    Sometimes i wish i could be a warm season . The bright warm ,i luv and the khakis an gold , greens of autumn, thought i was warm most of my life because of a little yellow in skin but now when i see what cool makeup and clothing colors do for me ; i know im not warm based

    Loved seeing this! I'm also a true spring so this was very interesting and inspiring.
    I have a question for you! From all of the analyzing you've done, what season is the most common and which one is most rare?

    I thought I was a summer but watching this with lots of redheads on both sides of my family I tried on a coral dress. Wow, I've never looked so good! And I would never have chosen a warm bright colour without this video
    Very informative and with such good energy. I love all your analyses but this one really helped me out. I reckon now I'm a spring warm so the complete opposite of what I thought before!

    Wow, one of my favourite videos on this channel. ❤
    I've learned a lot today.
    I could see that he is warm and that he belongs to spring.
    At first I thought he is a spring light, than I was surprised that some of the spring warm colours were better on him. It was fun to realize he is a true spring.
    Thank so much for this video.
    You are my favourite youtubers at the moment.
    I am always happy to see more.😊

    I have watched many videos on color analysis but by far your channel is the best in explaining so many aspects of color analysis. You also explain it so beautifully. About 40 years ago I was told I am spring and while many of the colors are great on me I can also wear many fall colors. It has confused me for years. Your explanation of why certain colors do and don’t work was exceptional. Thank you

      Yes, this is the best analysis I have seen. I am the same - a spring but was also incorrectly analysed as an Autumn. Autumn orange shades look wrong on me but bottle greens look good. I also look good in the bright spring colours and now I understand the difference between the cobalt blue and the warm blue shown. I couldn’t understand why this blue suits me but it’s explained very well in the video. I didn’t realise I had a rare palette but now I know why shopping for clothes is so hard, especially in summer and winter!

    I too have been analysed as a True Spring by Giulia and Alessandra! It came as a shock because I could swear I was a Soft Summer or something in that vein 😂 I've already seen this video but I'm going to watch it again and take notes. So many notes.

    Thanks so much for these videos.
    I have very similar colouring to Simon (ginger hair, very fair skin but my eyes are between blue and green). I was really worried about wedding dress shopping because I’m so pale but I hate fake tan. I learned that I have a lot of warmth underneath my pinky overtones and picked the warmest ivory dress that I tried on. My skin looks glowy rather than pasty.
    Thanks again for including a wide range of skin tones including people like me! Love you videos!

    How fascinating.. I watched this on my phone first with the blue light eye protection filter on.. then with it switched off, then it was only when I put it on my tv it became so obvious!
    I guess this is the nature of the true palette, because it's so equal across the different types, it's only seeing the equality that it becomes obvious it's so equal.
    Also, question, was this Alessandra's brother? 😊

    This was so much fun to watch! Thank you so much for the wonderful illustrations with Simone!
    I had my color analysis done by Alessandra last year and I've since really worked through my closet. I still have some sentimental items that are not in season for me (warm spring), but otherwise, my closet is pretty good and it has really helped me narrow down what to buy and what is more of a "nice on the rack in the store" but not great on me.
