My dad race Sprint cars for almost 20 years ran with what became the World of Outlaws was USAC license racer. I never got my chance to race a Sprint car or late model. Every time I hear 410 fire up the hair stands up on my arms.. you're very lucky Tanner Holmes... Tremendously Lucky ... Stand On-it
I think a video on why wearing your safety equipment is important when firing the car would be an interesting idea. A lot of drivers preach it but don’t adhere to it. (Props for having yours on btw)
Man I have been a push truck in Marysville CA for a while and I have been wondering how they work. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 Great explanation. I've always wondered why some of the cars took so long to get started in. A few of them would start off within the first 10 feet and take off and help you with mud LoL
Not suggesting that way is incorrect. I used to do it a little differently. Fuel Off Ignition on, but as soon as Oil pressure came up, I would turn on the fuel. My engine builder preferred that method as any unburnt fuel would immediately be ignited and basically zero bangs out the pipes once it fired. Never hurt a Mag Box that way either.
Its a rush 2 push start a sprint. Had a 99 susuzki side kik with metal push bumper. Started david null Cody kinzer an david gravel WHEN THAT MOTOR POPS WHAT A RUSH.
I've seen Sprint Cars with so much compression, the pit crew had to push it backwards to relieve the compression, then the push truck could get the wheels turning.
It's got fuel in a cylinders and its hydrauling when they push it backwards in gear it pushes the fuel out the exhaust then the Piston go up and down without breaking a rod or some other expensive moment
Oh man and to think we done that for decades to start cars and trucks with manual transmissions . We we're sprint car drivers and didn't know it.... lol
I was at monarch motor speedway close now in north TX Casting it lightly to start it Is like you were talking about well I didn't Is have a windshield yet in my machine And he went balls walls with that throttle and painted me in the guy That was with me in mud there's a couple nuts embedded in the front My machine but all in all that's probably the worst time most times people know what they're doing useing my pioneer 700
Id like to put a T56 6 speed in one of those, and drive it in the street, just add lights and windshield! Who wouldnt want to drive a engine with wheels and a saddle! 😆

Probably because how exposed the moving parts are in a sprint
Fire
Ive raced super late models but have never gotten a chance to get in a sprint car of any type... beast mode!

Thanks for filling us in on how much time it takes to run a sprint car . Great info
It doesn't matter if you're running a 410 or a 360, the same process, I never used to flip my switch until I had 40 pounds oil pressure.
This is the only thing I don’t like about sprint car when it doesn’t start it’s complicated but it’s impressive to see
That's a good explanation of how to push start the car.. good job thank you.
Raddest engine noise ever
Thats MUSIC to my ears!
Glad to know, now I just need a sprint car.
Great video, always wondered what the exact process was....
Does that cammed chevy short block sound ever get old ? I love that sound.❤
Small block bro, but you're absolutely correct! Chop monster!
That's great. I went to my first race. Love it!
Finally I know the otherside of that process. My Dad was a pusher at Perris Auto Speedway.
Moved out of so cal 7 years ago. The PAS is one of the only things I miss.
Sounds like a lot of fun.
Lord that looks fun

Nice video
Awesome Ty!!!

Why does the exhaust manifold not have equal length and merging pipes?
Love it

i ask all the time...is that a tommy ryder engine....from PA...
I’m not sure anyone has ever answered your question about the Rider engine. The answer is yes, out of Mechanicsburg Pa.

How do you tune your cars in the garage? If they have to be moving to start
Disconnect the rear end with the disconnect knob he showed you in the video to put it in gear/ lock the rear end.😢
Wonder how that happened. Thanks
👍🏻
Badass
Too much fun….usually…..can get interesting once in a while!!
Hey I am thinking of driving a 360s I think is what they are how do you fire those
Same way….
I’m curious, why don’t they just have normal electric starters? To save weight?
Yes, no battery, no starter….don’t need it, it ain’t on there! Good video, Tanner!!

useing my pioneer 700
You have the ignition switch wrong. Up is on, Down is off. Don't forget to label it.
What trans do they use
Direct drive
Is there a reason these cars don't have ignition systems?
They have magneto ignition, creates it's own spark.
Id like to put a T56 6 speed in one of those, and drive it in the street, just add lights and windshield! Who wouldnt want to drive a engine with wheels and a saddle! 😆
You’d have a hell of a time going straight or right haha
Is that the actual steering wheel?
Yup, disconnects to get in and get out of the car….kinda tight in there!
Fuel injected?
Yes…..
Yeah I'll stick to two tires and a push button thank you.
Bump start
How mich pwr a 410 make?
900 horsepower
1,400 lbs ..with 900hp thy are the most powerfull racing cars in the world (racing cars with turns) T.F. dragsters go in straight line.
Yeah i’ll just race a late model and have a starter
Why no starter in the 410 's
To save weight
No transmission
Jeez starting a turbine airplane has less steps
Whoever was driving the cj7 wanna sell it?
Now I know how to sell a 410 sprint car go look in your garage
Uh how old are you?
Daddy's money
jealous
Tanners there is a new series called dirt with Kyle Larson on it you'd like
.. alot of chili bowl for you
……….that’s called a “throttle” not “gas”………you drinkin the fuel?🤨😂🫡🫡❤️
I never understood why they don't use a high torque mini starter and a small battery. I know every ounce counts but c'mon...🤔
Why not just add a starter?
Your msd is inside the "cockpit“?
Ours is in the engine bay 🤷♂️
Less subjected to heat….gets hot in there.
Y u think Tmez did a Vid on rich kids parents buying the best minimum 😂 100 Grand ! An thanks to Shark Racing public tax record s !!! An ur welcom
lol
Go away silver 🥄
