BEAUTIFUL!! Can you please let me know what the pouring medium is? Thank you. JD
I like to use Liquitex Pouring Medium 👍🏼
the texture plate is from Cedar Canyon, originally designed as a rubbing plate
Oh thank you! I have had this in my studio for so long! What is a rubbing plate? 😃
@@FroyleArt Back in the day, you would put fabric/paper over the plate and use their 'shiva sticks' (oil sticks) to rub over the fabric, making an image. Not to be morbid, but have you heard of doing rubbings on old gravestones? I think that started it all. I have all the sets and use them now with my gel printing.
@@diannebell4492 oh that is absolutely fascinating! Thank you 😘 I love the texture plate 👍🏼
Was going to say the same thing as I have the exact same plate. It’s from the Doodles 6 pack. They are good for so many things. I love using them to make acrylic skins. I just started trying wax crayon rubbings with gel prints. Lots of experimenting to go. You can still buy the plates.
If you are using the plates like a stamp on your gel plate, do you use anything (like petroleum jelly) to keep acrylic paint from sticking to your plate? A bit of jelly ( really, really thin layer) keeps skins from sticking to the plates.
What kind of printer was used to print the image? Just love your work!!
I get colour laser print copies from warehouse stationary (office shop) cheers
In this demonstration what did you put into the jars? You mentioned ink and acrylic paint and pouring medium. So if I understand, you use 3 components for each color. The liquid medium you used, was that the pouring medium that you covered her face with?
All of your art , takes my breath away.
All of those colors are ME!!
Your tutorials are so much fun.
Ricki
Wonderful! Yes, Liquitex pouring medium is the secret sauce! 👍🏼 I use either paint OR ink with the medium 😃 I just love these colours ❤️
Is that on a board or canvas? Can youuse both sides of your Geli Plate? I just got my Geli Plate, so I have to o anything to it before I use it, bc I have heard you or Robyn say "I plate isn't warmed up yet? I enjoyed this class very much.
Fantastic! Yes you can use both sides of the gel plate! 👍🏼 This one is collage on canvas 😃 I hope you enjoy your new adventure! 😘 cheers Froyle
Could you share the source for the texture late you used? I found some on Amazon but they don’t have the design you used. I look forward to trying your techniques!
I bought mine a very long time ago! So maybe that design is no more! I know they have similar on Amazon, happy creating, cheers Froyle
What paper are you using to pull the trsnsfer?
I use Chinese rice paper! 👍🏼 my other fav is to use white tissue 😍😃
