I drive from San Diego to go to King Taco #2; been going there for 40 years. I go for the salsa rojo. It's creamy with a peppery flavor. I buy cups of it to take home.
@@dfelixrx7 that's the best one!! I lived in that neighborhood for decades my dad actually use to go on that corner when there was just a King Taco truck before they built the restaurant...

I feel you @abel5925 we lived right next to that park at the wyvernwood. We moved two years ago. I miss all the culture and it’s crazy to say but I miss the hood.
Dude, I’m bummed I had to leave LA to come to Denver for health reasons . I found your channel here in the hospital. I’m gonna do a marathon and catch on your vids. You review restaurants and food in a style that is short, sweet, and relevant. I’m a food guy (hotel industry) and I want to fly back just to go to the East LA joints. Man I miss it. And THANK YOU. Damn.
Im in Denver, anything similar to this you will find on Federal and even then its still not good. Tacos Acapulco on East Colfax is top tier. They offer Horchata Salvadoreña.
I fw this review because it’s just simple there’s no overbearing music when he’s eating he’s just chilling enjoying the food and letting the audience hear the background ambience of east LA, love it brotha
When I was a kid king taco was a food truck so many late night memories. Moms used to pick me up from school and one time she had picked up after she had got fresh tortillas and chicharrones from cinco puntos I had like 10 tacos in the back seat. It’s great to see East los on its feet and not washed out. Thanks for the trip down memory lane
You deserve way more subscribers. Well done video with great descriptions. Established food tubers could learn from this. Keep grinding and you will rise for sure. Love it.
Man i love how ur able to explain the flavour textures and the dishes way more in depth than most food youtubers out there! Keep doing u 1000% ur gonna blow up god bless❤
Wow at the end your threw in king taco taco!! What memories. That first burrito 🌯 was huge! Wish they had places like that over my side of town OC. Especially that market w/ the piñata. So satisfying watching you mow down all that food. Deliciousness. ❤
I love king taco, my parents use to take us there when it was just out of a food truck and their spot on 3rd wasn't built yet. Still stop there everytime I visit L.A.
Soy nueva en tu canal hermosos vídeos me encanta que te gusta mucho nuestra comida mexicana me gusta a todos los lugares que vas de modesto california asta la próxima bye bye 😋🌮🌯🤗
Good spots bro and you’re good at this. Candid and down to earth, the people are gonna feel that, I see a quick ascent to greatness in your future. Can’t get enough of those crazy meats!
I’m coming back to LA from Australia next September and these spots have been added to the list! I didn’t do anywhere near enough Mexican street food last time. Dope video man, going to check your channel out now for sure
Your channel just came across my feed and I usually watch the 1st couple minutes of a vlog to see if it catches my attention. I clicked subscribe due to your editing and content. Great work young man!
Solid job dude. I'm more familiar with the OC mex food places like El Toro Bravo in Costa Mesa (killer food) and Fiesta Grill in HB (best carnitas out there).....but cannot deny LA does good stuff. I live out in the country now and there is zero decent mex food here.....I miss it so bad.
You hit some of my favorites. All those locations are legit. Im impressed you can tell the difference between the various meats. And you use the salsa correctly. 😆 Well done. BTW, the nopales from 5 Puntos are the best because they're actually NOT slimey like other places. They are also always fresh, nice acidity, but with a kick. I always get a medium container to go, as well as a dozen hand made tortillas. Looks like you missed the taco de res which is probably what they are best known for along with their carnitas. Next time.
🤢🤢🤢☹️☹️ i think im homesick now and im about to throw up at how much i am missing home. This video brought back so many memories, the food, the L.A. culture, Blood In, Blood Out, my family... ☹️ Ive been stationed overseas in Germany and havent been home in about 2 years. First place im going is my mommas home then the taco spot ☹️🥲 thank you for this great video!
I just found your channel and it’s so nice, i’m always picky with what i’m watching while i’m eating but you got a a nice vibe and style of editing, keep it up :)
Please come to phoenix my brother, we have many top notch mexican food places.. really want to see your reactions to some of the fire tacos we have! I can send some recommendations before you come! 👍
Hello I came across your video. I’m actually going to be your new fan now. I need to go to death fun in LA. I’m in the IE Riverside area map to take a trip out there and try that burrito. It looks really good.
You need to do an asian food tour to the list if you haven’t yet. I love King Taco’s salsa verde. I appreciate a smoky sauce when they roast the veggies.
I just had a King Taco burrito, double meat, no rice and red sauce with a red sauce on the side :). I grew up in Cypress Park and my mom still stays out there. I go over and we walk to KT because its just down the street. One thing I will say about KT is that its not the best by any means, but its its own thing. The carne asada is unlike any other place so, much like McDonalds where you want a BigMac which isnt the best burger, but a McDonalds burger. Before In-N-Out ventured out of SoCal, KT is kind of the In-N-Out of Mexican food.
I went a couple weeks ago and i had mixed carnitas and both red and green salsa mixed and scrambled and chilaquiles it was awesome but try to eat immediately bc it gets soggy i tried to go wed before Thanksgiving but they are closed til Tuesday
I used to drive a big truck to LA weekly.. and man do I miss all the food trucks...I used to get this HUGE Frito Pie Burrito.. and it would fill you and another up.. Green Chili sauce...

If you add cilantro while cooking your nopales it reduces the liquid released by the nopal.
