I’m glad to hear that you liked A Tempest of Tea because I was hearing a lot of mixed reviews which made me nervous to keep it on my TBR. I trust your judgment so this heightens my excitement to read it.
i just got wild love! it's my first elsie silver book but i am a recent STAN of the single parent/gaurdian trope. it started with things we never got over and i cannot stop wanting MORE of that. i haven't read any of the other books you have but most of them are on my tbr!
@@MelReads it's like single guardianship but not OFFICIAL but also lowkey offical LMAOO it's really good - just super long! but i heard the books get even better in the series.
Tempest of the Tea was such a fantastic read...I believe I should have saved it fir the Fall it would've hit harder ciz I WAS LIVING FOR THE VIBES OF The Book 🧛.....The banter and the backstory was my fav part if the book...Also TEAM LAITH ALL THE WAY!!! As always love your vids..it never fails to brighten up my day 🌤️💖💖
Love the video ❤ Here to let everyone know that manga/manwha is not a genre but a format. It's a pet peeve when people treat it like a genre rather than the format that it is.
The footnotes are the most annoying thing ever but you must read Daisy Haites:The great undoing, cause the point of view of yearning of Julian for Magnolia is everything!!
@@nandarambles2917 i completely understand lol I finally picked it up yesterday and i’m loving it so much 😭🩷 so many tears but it might be my favorite yet. I don’t want it to end
oh, i can't NOT read the great undoing after the long way home- i NEED to read julian's perspective😭 i already have the audios on deck because i've been told it helps a ton!!
Okay I have come here to comment because I’ve mentioned you plenty in my videos and messaged you on instagram lol but you’ll never see them so here’s my BIG THANK YOU because you put me onto Villains are destined to die. My first manwah (never read manga either) and literally everyday I’m looking for something similar because I’m EATING it up!! I finished vol.3 and had to jump into 4, I’m definitely torn between Eckels, Callisto and Winter lol 🥲 - 🎶🎧
@@MelReads lol no worries your a busy women 😅🫶🏼 I wanted to do a YT video of popular RUclipsr Recs so I tried to shoot my shot 😭 but yes I love this series thank you for putting me on and thank you for your amazing content 🌹
I also find it so interesting seeing how subjective and individual enjoyment of books is! I only rated A Tempest of Tea 2.5 because I just didn't connect with the characters and it was very character driven. I also had the opposite experience in finding that I did predict the twists 😅 I'm still curious to read the sequel though, because I find myself wanting to know more about the world it is set in.
I actually gave A Tempest of Tea a 3.5 rating; I really wanted to love it, but there wasn't as much vampiric aspects as the synopsis hinted at, and for me the planning for the heist felt very rushed because we were focusing more on the characters' inner emotions than the plot beats themselves. But I did enjoy it, and I definitely plan on reading the second one.
I just started the Familiar and so far pretty into it! Also just finished a short story colletion by Gadalupe called Los divagantes (in spanish), would definately recommend!
it's a magnolia book, then a daisy book, and so on! so the order would be: - magnolia parks - daisy haites - the long way home - the great undoing - into the dark
For Single parent trope I haaaave to recommend Notes on Love by Naaz Spencer, it was so beautifully done and so heart wrenching at times too simply stunning ❤
Since you cried for Good Girl, Bad Blood maybe you might for the As Good As Dead too. I don’t want to spoil anything, so I’ll just say that both cases take a toll on Pip and you’ll see that in the 3rd book. 🎧🎼
I felt the same about wild love ❤❤ I am currently reading Sherlock holmes the complete novels and stories volume 1 I am just having a rough moment with reading and my depression and when I have moments like this I turn to my favorite books and or characters and this year it's Sherlock holmes but I love your videos
glad to know i'm not alone with wild love!! i also love you can turn to your comfort characters when mental health is not doing so good🫶🏻 make sure to take care of yourselves and give yourself some grace- sending you a big hug and lots of love💖
I somehow read 16.5 books this month - .5 because the fallow year (book 2.5 by Margaret Owen) is ongoing on ao3. But this hasn't happened ever 😳 And yes I took and devoured your recs - little thieves books, song of the last Kingdom duology & dowry of blood. Also read foul hearts huntsmen and Chloe Gong's fictional men are the standard 😌
I just really struggled with a tempest of tea and will not complete the series. I did enjoy the world but I just didn't connect with the characters other than Flick. My favorite read of April was a reread of the MindEff series by ST Abby. I read 18 books and most of them were just okay. I also read Tale of the Last Flowerbride and loved that one and Wilder Girls by Rory Power. So far, my May reading has been a lot better for me.
My favorite of April was Rebecca's Tale by Sally Beauman and my least favorite was The Winter's Tale by Shakespeare, I do wonder if watching the play would have made me it more entertaining for me. I read three middle grade: Anne of Avonlea by LM Montgomery, Pocahontas and John Smith by Marie Lawson, and A Wizard's Guide to Defensive Baking by T King Fisher. I think it's cool that T King Fisher is exploring a variety of different avenues with her work. I read two more books for my journey with Filipino literature. One was a non-fiction, A History of the Philippines by Luis H. Francia, and the other was a WWII story, When Elephants Dance by Tess Uriza Holthe. That one I didn't finish until May, though.
I'm surprised by wild love I've been hearing different reviews.. I think I will read online instead of buying the paperback like I initially wanted too
Absolutely love when you do those little Spanish outbursts 😂 never change ❤

I didn't read since a long time 😅
I like your channel you are kind beautiful and have positive energy ❤
I have a question about magnolia parks! What order do you read the books in? Im a bit confused LOL
it's a magnolia book, then a daisy book, and so on! so the order would be:
- magnolia parks
- daisy haites
- the long way home
- the great undoing
- into the dark
Magnolia Parks is pain and I just keep coming back
OKAY!!! i'm doing it to myself at this point😭
Great wrap up 📚☕

Good girl bad blood actually did have few Hints about the ending, it’s Just whether you notice it
i can definitely see some aspects of that, but in the grand scheme of things, i felt it was so random😭
