      Nice one. Place a cover over the saw blade when using the sander. Prevents accident.

    great job! very interesting. although I'd caution against putting the homemade saw blade so close to the sander, but perhaps the only thing I'd change

      I agree, relatively easy enough of a touch, especially when this is on youtube and you'll no doubt have kids trying this. A flap to cover sander while cutting to keep pieces stable/from slipping would be neat as well...

    the only problem will be if you forgot that the saw is spinning no matter what your doing...so watch out to not cut you fingers! great vid anyways

      He means the saw is hooked up to sander. I agree some guards of sorts would be nice but it is a nifty little DIY project

    Nice machine. In my opinion you should made the "base" from 2 aluminium part. The back is 1 plate, and a top is a bended one too (4 pont bent) and fixed to the back with screews rather then that ugly hot glue (I didn't like hot glue, and I avoid when its possible). Also some covers for tools will be nice, you know safety first. :)

    nice work. so what do i need to change to make the saw accept AC power and not batteries? Or better still, if i want it to use both? where someone chooses which one between batteries and ac to use

      +Androider SK/CZ its better with a belt and a gear because you can control the speed or power of the blade better using diffrent gear ratios

    can i use LM317 or any linear regulator for adjusting the speed? i cannot afford an quadcopter circuits..
