Oona seems like a very cool idea, I have a few questions: 1. How much of Oona is reliant on the RUclips API? Over the past few years, we've seen some big companies tighten up on their API policies that make it very difficult for third party software to function financially due to high costs for API usage. 2. Is Oona built specifically for RUclips, or is that something that you want to grow over time into other platforms as well. What happens if RUclips decides that they want to compete and just expands on their current feature with all the data and power that they have? Wish you all the best!🙌
thanks! oona is slowly moving away from yt api. it's hard to predict yt's movement but this is just the starting point for oona. we're definitely growing with and building for content creators!
When I'm going to launch my SaaS, I'll just go for Paddle. My accountant told me that if I use Stripe, the accountants reporting and managing all the VAT things to the proper agencies collecting them (per country) will cause a very high overhead, and for 20€/month per invoice, it's gonna eat up a lot of my margins, at the beginning even putting me in the negatives (since reporting is per country, and at the beginning client locations will be very fragmented, a few per country, so economies of scale doesn't work).
Having started a startup with some others, this is really inspirational!
thank you so much! all the best to your startup!
@@dawchihliou All the best to you too

That’s why there is a big market for services which provide a merchant of record, like Paddle.
They take a bigger cut, but solve all this.
thanks so much! i'll look into paddle
Mad knowledge.
appreciate it!
stop using stripe. switch to a merchant of record like paddle or lemonsqueezy. they handle all the taxes for you.
why pay taxes at all
@@ИванРагозин-я8я jail XD
especially that lemonsqueezy is owned by stripe now, so they will likely get integrated into Stripe in the upcoming years.
thanks so much for the advice! i'll look into lemonsqueezy
