It's funny about this scene because Kevin is using an inflatable clown doll as the adult and yet, Tim Curry played Pennywise the Clown in Stephen King's IT 2 years earlier.
Even in the early 90s, Curry’s character was definitely breaking some protocol breaking into a guest’s room without probable cause or the proper authorization.
Everytime I see someone watching this (ie friend's house, relative's house, etc) and they're at this scene I'm literally all like "here comes one of the best parts of this movie!"
And how,the way he is also good as a puppeteer in the first Home Alone,in the scene where he leads Harry and Harv to believe his family is already back from Paris and throwing a lively Xmas party,using his mom's mannequins as accesories(which he also maniplates,also by tying some to his ankles.)
This part was funny but always took me out of the movie, it was the 1st movie mistake i noticed as a younger child alongside trex getting out the cage in jurassic park . It's the fact that Kevin had run away from the bathroom when his uncle sung that last part . So how did he record it " ooooohhhh you're cooking frankie."

There should be a shot and a voice over where Kevin is thinking: "Wait a minute. I don't remember recording this much." *shrugs* "Oh well. Better more than less. I got the important bit in."
He didn't know the song was already recording and was unaware that he kept the recorder on while heading to the bathroom to grab his tie. Kevin only took it out when Frank was belting out the Cool Jerk part. Thus he not only got the full part of the song, but also Frank's famous line

He had a massive stroke in 2012 and is now in a wheelchair. He's doing remarkably well and getting better every day!! He still has a sharp memory and can still sing and talk normally. 😊💕
