Absolutely love Adrienne Barbeau! I met her at a convention around 2005. I told her I loved her work, but especially Creepshow. She was a bit embarrassed because she is the polar opposite of “Billy”. But she pretended to punch me in the gut while we were posing for a picture. She’s a great sport!
Hell yeah Billie's a great sport... why she didn't complain at all after her hubby went and blew her brains right out the back of her head... she just hushed right up and kept her big trap shut like a good little wife. Didn't even utter a single word... she just took a really long dirt nap right under the tree LOL!
Hal Holbrook passed away on January 23, 2021 but the news just broke this morning. RIP Hal! Whether you were talking about Huck’s adventures or putting a bullet in Adrienne Barbeau’s head, you always had a way with movies! Thank you for everything!
He’s still alive. He only retired a couple of years ago from his Mark Twain road show. He’s 94. Not sure what type of shape he’s in, or if he would make public appearances anymore.
Major props to the two actors delivering the lines, "Hell of a shot," and "Bullseye." Just expertly delivered. 4 seconds of great acting. Watch that specific moment 3 times straight, and you'll know what I mean.
I also love the way he nods when he realizes that he's being congratulated right before that 🤣🤣🤣 the scene is so twisted. That one guy in the brown suit with the moustache was a connoisseur
Hal Holbrook and Fritz Weaver are so damn good in this. They bring surprising depth to what could have been empty, generic characters. Henry is written as a downtrodden milquetoast, but Holbrook is able to show us that wily rage that's bubbling just below the surface. Dexter isn't as deep a character, but Weaver hints at the insecurity and compassion hiding behind the professorial charm. Of course, his freakout is amazing too. It may be an arch horror story, but these old pros turn it into something special.
@@stever507 You're right!! I forgot about the part in "Virginia Woolf" where it seems George is going to shoot Martha! It was an umbrella, right? I need to watch it again, it's been a long tiime.
This is this kind of stuff(movie) we as teenagers back then stayed up past midnight for to watch on HBO, CineMAX or ShowTIME...HBO reigned supreme when this movie came out!
I think it would’ve been hilarious if some of the applauders in Henry’s daydream had a bit of blood splatter on their clothes. After all, you can see it flying out the back of Billy’s head!
I'd never want to be in a relationship with a woman like that, of course, but actually wouldn't mind hanging out with her at a cocktail party, because she'll actually say what's on her mind -- even if it's unpleasant. (I can't stand feigned politeness, because it reeks of dishonesty.) If she started talking to me like she talked to Hal Holbrook's character, instead of putting my tail between my legs, I'd half-jokingly give her a taste of her own medicine. Women like her respect you only if you respect yourself enough not to take their shit.
Yes, a neighbor in my development. She’s had a crush on me and has stalked me for years. A crude smoker with a loud bar voice and absolutely no class. I hide when I see her coming. What a nightmare.
Adrienne Barbeau guest starred in an episode of Babylon 5 and I knew I remembered seeing her face before but I couldn't put my finger on it until right now
This is one of my favorite movies ....im from spain ...and i know that movie creepshow this short of the crate use to be filmed in pittsburgh ...id like can visit pittsburgh someday lololol too some of this scenes of the crate was filmed in carnegie hall university of pittsburgh....lolol
This is why the tv show didn’t work, they couldn’t balance out the Humor and Scares. Also this movie had fantastic actors that are unforgettable in their roles.

Polar opposite of billy, thats crazy, shes does such a good job of being repulsive.
Just call me Billy, everybody does.
she had really been a very attractive woman in Cannonball
I had a crush on her when I was a kid. First saw her in Swampthing.
When I was a kid, I didn’t understand why Henry wanted to shoot Wilma.....
I totally get it now.
Lol
she robbed of him of his solitude and provided him with no companionship.
Lol
Same 😅
😂
Anyone who’s ever been a relationship with a “billy” you have my condolences.
Rest In Peace, Mr. Holbrook.
In Loving Memory of
HAL HOLBROOK
1925 - 2021
I like him, good actor.
Falling asleep to this on a random Thursday afternoon while home sick from school is a core memory for me! I will always love Creepshow.
This was some really good character development for a short story.

He was a good bad guy in Magnum Force with Clint Eastwood.
RIP Hal Holbrook 😔
He had a really good part in the movie into the wild
Sad to hear … he was in Wall Street too 😢
He was great in Fletch Lives
I love Adrienne Barbeau even when she's unlikeable.
She's wonderful, certainly underrated.
Yeah,she was great on Maude.
Yeah! She’s great
I love her, so honest
She did the voice of Catwoman in the batman animated series.
This movie is a masterpiece
@@markwoollon what’s funny about that? This is a great horror movie. So underrated.
I agree, this movie has amazing actors, fantastic music, horrifying monsters, and Leslie Neilson. What’s not to love about this movie.
Amazing movie, but it's unbelievable how many people have never seen it before.
Yup that’s what I said 👏🏾‼️✅
This movie is so underrated. What a classic horror flick!
Having a wife like this is enough to give you high blood pressure
“Just call me billy, everyone does!” Freakin love it
I absolutely love Hal Holbrook. No matter which role he plays, he just always brings such class and credibility to it.
I always felt the same. Wish I could've met him.
God bless him

Thank you! I don't know one thing about acting myself; I'm just obsessed with this movie :)
lisvender good observations
Totally agree
Lisvender - well said. I’ve always felt exactly the same way about this match up. They are brilliant together.
"Helluva shot". "Bulls eye".
Amazingly delivered. Those two steal the scene.
"Some of these academics make the shark in _Jaws_ look like fuckin' flipper"
🤣
I'm here to remember Hal Holbrook. Rest in peace.
RIP Hal Holbrook, this was the very first thing that came to my mind when I heard he died.
The idea that academics _have_ friends and spouses - that's the real fiction here.
Gotta love self insert fan fictions.
That was a hell of a shot.
Fatality!
Garbage day!
symbolism is so strong in this movie. the dark humor so morbid yet so original
We've all pictured ourselves doing this to at least one relative.
Or co-worker lol.
Usually your mother-in-law or that annoying brother-in-law.
I knew when I watched this scene with intense, intense sympathy that it was time to get out of my last relationship.
Just one?
I haven't!
...hmmm... wait a sec ...
Every time I see Hal Hallbrook only one word enters my mind; “Caallaagghhaaaann!!
Yeah he was always busting Harry's chops !😂😂
A man's got to know his limitations
I always think, “I’m Father Malone! Take me!”
Your guns out of its holster Briggs first time?
The sound track is amazing till this day.
3:30 the most morbid humour ever LOL
Kinda awesome that Hal is using a .44 magnum since he was the villain in Magnum Force which was the second Dirty Harry film
One of my favorite scenes that makes me laugh every time.
This scene always gets me 😂😂
Just call me Billy everyone does!
1:17 "Honey these people are dry, take care of'em" She ran into the table & that dudes face 🤣
I LOVED Billy,, she played the Sh*t!! out of that role.
Adrienne Barbeau, great actress. She was married to John Carpenter during the 80s, so she had horror movie connections!
R.I.P. Hal Holbrook
Kind of reminds me of 'Whos afraid of Virginia Wolf'
College professor with a loud, drunken wife.
Probably what inspired this.
I thought the same, and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" is such an AMAZING film!
@@trinitymplayers I wish I could ask Stephen King if he was inspired aby "Virginia Woolf". I'd be willing to bet that he was.

CREEPSHOW is a MASTERPIECE.
I was about 7 or 8 when I first saw this and for the longest time I wondered how she got shot in the head and died, but was able to come back to life.
I always loved not only does he imaging popping his loud wife but also that he gets a golf clap and praise for his clean headshot lol love this movie

Fortunately just once a year for thanksgiving but still entertaining

These great actors made this episode wonderful.
I remember a guy once telling me after seeing this movie that Billie reminded him of his mom! (shudder)
Hugh S ummm yeah they do exist. Welcome to the REAL world. Not all moms are decent and normal
Thanks jasmine for posting own this on DVD a very good movie .
I love how Stephen King frequently works an obnoxious drunk into many of his stories.
Seeing as to he was probably one himself lol
Makes the shark from jaws look like fuckin flipper... lmao
Those so called academics
Good people, have dreams… Sad that we don’t just live them out 🥺

I find it creepy how it pans out from her dead body with everyone stood watching
